Learning sheet music is definitely great in many different ways and even if you already have lots of experience using the visualiser it doesn't hurt to at least try using sheet music it makes it so much easier
Not many people realize that your actually playing even faster than some of the best performances of the piece. You played with incredible flow and musicality, amazing! I hope one day I can play this etude at your level!
No this was just sped up u can see at the beginning that he just sped the video up because u can’t move your hands that fast out of that position and the sound of the video
Amazing! I would love to learn this piece one day. It is definitely one of the shorter Chopin Etudes, but by no means easy. Congrats for the epic clarity of your performance! Things to Do
There's something, I'm not sure what. The strings, the pedaling, or simply the emotion and ferocity he adds to this piece that make it sound just incredible.
1:32 to 1:40 I never hear anyone bring out that higher voice like this 😮 it just makes it so much more thrilling, almost like a bird was tweeting at top of that insane bassline and middle voice ❤
traum interpretations are the best. While rousseau is obviously a standart but unfortunately missing the soul of the music like a lot of other YT. Traum bring his personnal touch unlike the others
This sounds continuous, momentarily going up only to be pulled down. Then all of a sudden its harsh, a bang and slowly as the listener feels that the piece is ending, a one last leap of chaos engulfs the air and with a loud thud everything comes to a stop
I think this piece is quite underated, not for its technical challanges in which I honestly think its a bit overrated but musically. I think this goes for almost all of his etudes altough some of them are obviously more melodic and lyrical than others (this one not being one of the lyrical ones) but if you try to actually listen to this piece and make sense of it, playing it slowly in your head to me at least a meaning greater than just its technical difficulty emerges it is a piece which has not a conversation between the left and right hands but an absolutely brutal fight to death where the left hand eventually wins out with the c# minor octaves at the very end. You hear the anticipation which is released in tiny bursts giving a sense of anxiousness which I believe was the feeling Chopin was trying to convey this is in stark contrast to something like the 3rd scherzo where there is anticipation similar to this but is released in a huge amazing outburst right at the end of the piece ending on well exactly the same notes as this piece if I'm not mistaken. Amazingly fine slight contrasts in dynamic and articulation also make a huge difference making this one of my favorite interpretations yet. In the beginning I interpret the right hand as the first character the victim (possibly Chopin himself if you want to go that far) and the left hand as the agressor, now the characters switch hands a bit but they are both relatively easily recognizable throughout the whole piece. Character 2 is really this annoying scary unavoidable figure that I believe most of us if not all have enountered in one way or another that is nagging in the back of our heads with self doubt and self critisicm. Character 1 I see throughout this whole piece attempting to escape from character 2 to become free but always being dragged back down. I imagine the right hand movements to the upper register being character 1's attempt to gasp for air before being dragged down to the depths again by character 2. When you start noticing it it is hard to let go of the thought and to me at least it really brought a new perspective to the piece that I havent thought about before.

I can hear every note, this is awesome
What the...???! That's some impressive piano playing. I remember talking to a guy at a piano store and asking him what his favorite piano pieces were, and he said the Chopin Etudes. This is a great example. Wow.
Revolutionary will break fingers on your left hand. Winter wind will break fingers on your right hand. Torrent will break fingers on both of your hands... ;)
The growth is incredible
As someone has been learning and practicing piano for about half a year...I'm s c a r e d.
@ButterFingerPianist hopefully I can say that after I've become better
Traum Piano, Subscribed because your videos always make me smile!
I love traum😭 he is such a good pianist !!!
Your first video?!? Way to make an impact!
Videos like this really push me to practice more piano, I want to play like this xD how long do you practice every day and when have you started playing the piano?
With Heart and Souls what were his answers
@@eventhorizonsingularity he loves germany and also studied there^^
With Heart and Souls oh I searched it up on translate last night
This vid was the start. Congrats for soooo many subscribers. You deserve them! Bye
Whoah. You played my favourite Chopin Etilude very well indeed. Excellent! 🤩🤩🤩
Uploading this as the first video is something only a legend can do.
I’m listening to this while on the treadmill. The fast tempo plus me telling myself Chopin will be disappointed with me if I stop, the same way he was with Liszt and nocturne 1 is great motivation 😂
the song really gives off vibes of getting into the middle of torrent, The beginning of the piece gives a feeling of hope but when it comes to the last part, All the positivity and hope becomes useless while you are nearing at the center of torrent.

@@azureNotsure omggg lmao
Where can I hide myself now😹
Just brutal! Beautiful playing, sir.
May I request you to upload some of Alkan’s studies (maybe one of the op. 39)? That would also be amazing.

1:27 till the end is amazing

No, but that was probably the fastest tempo I've heard for this piece yet. And very cleanly played as well. 👏
Wow such an amazing performance and interpretation, I’ve recently been trying to take on this piece, so I was wondering if you had any tips on how to practice and master it, thank you! ❤️
it's a piece that comes pretty natural to the hands, practice your technique by playing slower and gradually build up, I guess it's not really much use 1 year later 😅 but that's how I went about learning this
Nice job! I have played for about 8 months now and I`m going to try this in a year from now.
I don't want to put your ambition down, but playing an etude by Chopin in 2 years is extremely ambitious. I'd be impressed if someone could play this in 7 years, let alone less than half that.
@@voidley5854I probably cant but im going to atleast try. right now im working on the pathetique sonata so ill see where this takes me
@FranzSeth Gl then, and I wish you the best.
@@voidley5854 Thank you, I'll do my best
Liszt and Chopin's pieces look very visually pleasing in Synthesia format
Truly ahead of its time
human who is able to play this piece is not of this earth..... i will recomend your channel on others that i am subscribing.... this is ridiculous you got only 5k subs.... . greetings :)
1 month ago 5k subs... Now 20k ... Awesome. You deserve way much more Traum ♥🌺
This piece gives me anxiety its so damn manic. Perfectly played
You've gained a new sub. I've watched a couple of your videos and I'm in awe. Definately looking forward to the uploads
How fast can you play Tortent?
Traum: yes
Not really the real tempo of this peace is more fast lol
Pd: put the video in 1.25, that is the real tempo (i now it so presto)
And now I need therapy again. I guess that’s why you call yourself Traum. Aside from that, this is my favorite interpretation of this piece. Bravo!
Absolutamente genial 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
