    I got a pair for myself. I really like them after watching this video. The only issue is they don't have their extra wide boomerang insoles for these shoes available yet
    1. Good width and toe box shape
    2. not awkwardly long like the vivobarefoot shoes are known to be
    3. great for the gym and solid for daily wear
    4. Barefoot sole plus removable boomerang insole makes the shoe feel good in a lot of jumping and heavy foot strain activities so it solid for those starting out with barefoot shoes

    I've always been curious about Inov8. This shoe will probably be my first pair from this brand

    Hey there! I’ve been watching a ton of your videos lately attempting to narrow down a pair of shoes to get. I work long 12 hour shifts in the hospital so most of my walking environment is hard tile/concrete flooring. What would you recommend for walking on that all day? I don’t need anything that I would be running/jumping in. I really like the way Vivo shoes look especially considering I don’t want to stand out like a sore thumb. Any suggestions?

      @@thatfitfriend so far I have been looking at the Primus Lite Knit. And the Motus Strength. Would they be acceptable if I walk on hard floors for 12+ hours a day?

    Barexf 210 V3 is so close for me. I'm on my third bare. Just wish I had a tad bit more width for my pinky toe. Do you think this new model would help with that and give me the same feel of the 210 V3?

      @@thatfitfriend First impressions are really good for the Bare XFs coming from the V3. My foot has a lot more room. Almost wondering if I should have gone down a half size. I've got about .5-.75 inch clearance at the front of the shoe.

      Eh, if you’re not having slip issues and it’s not crazy unbearable then you’re probably okay and would give your toes even more room to splay and do their thing

    Thank you for your review. I have a question. I have a pair of TOLOS 2.0 but they are slipping during leg press at just 230 pounds. What other shoe do you recommend that would have better grip during leg press but also have good articulation for lunges and split squats. The leg press is older/typical style where you seat down and the plate to push is up high so you have to lift your legs. Hope that makes sense. Also the leg press plate is not fully flat.

    Thanks, Jake! I've been anxiously waiting for this review since the initial impressions video. I commented on another one of your videos last week that we need a best of barefoot shoes video soon because there have been several releases here over the last couple of months. I'm now waiting to see your full reviews on the Tyr DropZero and also on the Radix. Thanks again and hope you have a great weekend, Jake!

    Thanks for this Jake. Interesting. I am not too happy with my old Bare XF - I ended up with an achilles problem that I put down to wearing that model. I find the shoe extends up the back of my heel a little too far, and I also find that part of the shoe too rigid for comfort, an issue I resolved with some judicious hammering of the back of the heel. They wear just fine now! I don't know if you can compare the back of the heel of this model with the older Bare XF - do they rise up as far as each other and does the new model's heel area (behind the achilles) seem to be as rigid as the older model? If so, I will likely stick with my F-Fly for both Hyrox and Cross-Fit. Thanks as always, very helpful and useful video. 🙌

      I actually don't own the older Bare-XF model so I'm not the best point of reference, but I feel like this model's boot is pretty low and not wicked rigid! Welcome!

    Does the toe spring disappear when you’re standing in them? Is the upper overly breathable for cold weather?

    Have you ever road ran with these shoes ( with and without insoles)? And does landing on rocks/pebbles hurt ( a lot or minimal)?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  4 месяца назад

      I have a bit but kept the insole in. I’m not a diehard barefoot shoe road runner since I vary my training with my hybrid stuff (find barefoot road running beats my knees up too much).
      The insole does help and it’s not as harsh as other models I’ve used on road like tolos/Primus models

    Do you have any recommendations for a budget insole replacement?
    I wear barefoot shoes and like the closer to ground feel but with the foot smell, i like to have the option of a removable insert.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  5 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not super familiar with too many insoles, tbh. I've been wanting to get into the more, though. Sorry I'm not more help!

    • @toni35

      Wilding shoes sell insoles. I own a pair of wilding tanuki, and they have been great. Now they are on their last lap, and I could use some more lateral support. I've been considering the inno8 barexf, and worry a bit of the insole having too much support. I bet there are plenty of options for insoles though
