A big announcement is gearing up here in about 3 days on Oct 10. Which will mark the one year Anniversary of their legendary Bukadan live streaming concert. Which I attended & was probably the best concert I've been to in years. Su-Metal was on a completely different performance level and made me wonder how they could possibly top that. Well the Other One may give us some idea here lol. You may have noticed some rather criptic videos starting to appear on RUclips. They started appearing about a week ago staring with a titled video Restoration 90%. Which was followed by a 10 sec audio clip. Well I discovered that when the dial went up one percentage point a new audio track was revealed. This has continued every day about the same time with another 10 sec audio clip. To say i was blown away here would be an understatement. Not only is this a genius way of building momentum here towards some kind of important announcement. The tracks themselves are brilliant and I suspect we might be working towards a new Album release. Keep Oct 10 on your radar as is when this all is supposed to come to pass. 🤟🦊 :)
This was the first of the Trilogy of Lights. Next is Shine follows by Arkadia. This is a tribute to the late Mikio Fujioka, the main lead guitarist for Babymetal and also Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal). Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤟
One of the blessings of being an artist is, you can use your art to digest shocking things happening in life. There is a wailing in this song that touches the heart, expressing the misery of the events in 2018. Shows some real depth and beauty of the family of creators/performers that make Babymetal possible. Loved your reaction.
Great reaction and a happy new year. The single and official video for 'Starlight' were released on the same day that Yui announced she would be leaving BABYMETAL. As such yes it may be a tribute to her and, as has already been said in the comments, it is considered by most people (although neither belief has ever been officially confirmed) to be a tribute to Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka (RIP) who died on 5th Jan 2018 after falling from an observation deck where he had been stargazing. He was a keen amateur astronomer, Yui was also known to like stargazing. Whether it is true or not, this song is known to draw a few tears from some people. Kobametal, their producer, has described 'Starlight', Shine' and 'Arkadia' as the "Trilogy of Lights" representing the stages of loss we go through - 'Starlight' being the initial anger and grief, 'Shine' is acceptance and coming to terms and finally 'Arkadia' is about looking to the future and moving forward. You will find similar good compilations from pro-shot videos for 'Shine' and 'Arkadia' on the same channel this video for 'Starlight' came from - you already reacted to 'Arkadia', 'Shine' would make for a great reaction to complete the trilogy - that is a beautiful song and there are clips from Moa's 20th birthday shows where she played an acoustic guitar that may be a one similar, a replica or maybe even one of Mikio's own guitars.
Happy new year let’s hope this one is better. The song is a tribute to Mikio their guitarist who passed away after falling from an observation deck whilst star gazing in January 2018 people believe it could be for Yui too but that’s what it is mainly about they have done 3 songs called the trilogy of lights the first is starlight then it’s shine and then arkadia the songs are about loss, grieving, acceptance and moving forward
@@MatsuPatty Sadly this is just an overzealous fan interjecting his opinion. Officially Starlight isn't a tribute to anyone. When BM have been asked about Starlight, such as when Su was asked she stated that it reminded her of Yui. The only possible tribute to Mikio we have is during the Legend-M concert in 2019 during the song Shine where Moa plays a guitar that looks like on Mikio used to own even this has not been officially confirmed. The song is emotional and powerful and made for one to think about loss in general not a single person like so many overzealous fans want it to be.
@@jason7120 I noticed that you didn’t comment on anyone else’s how is that a song about Yui when it was recorded the same time she quit they would’ve had to write the some learn the song before releasing also can’t find any evidence of said interview and look in other starlight reaction videos tones will say the same so you have a lot of commenting to do. Call me overzealous and no one else
@@karu-metal1943 I never said it was a song about Yui, you need to pay attention. I have said multiple times it's not a tribute to anyone. Suzuka said it makes her think about Yui that's it. So you are being rather odd trying to make a claim that I think it's a dedication to Yui. I never said that, you are just making things up which doesn't make you look smart, makes you look at best foolish.
@@jason7120 oh I’m sorry but the fact that you commented on only my comment and called me an overzealous fan when a hell of a lot of people believe it to be a tribute you can see why I’m annoyed don’t bother replying to this i won’t read it also nobody has said is or isn’t end of
Great reaction but don't let any fans fool you, this song was not dedicated or officially a tribute to anyone. It is one song in the trilogy of light and though it makes many think of loss like the great Mikio it's officially not a dedication to him.
