Dhalsim is, by sheer numbers, actually one of the best characters in MvC2. His ground dash is as fast as Storm's. He's got an 8 directional air dash that's as fast as Magneto's. His flight mode is second to Sentinel's. UNFORTUNATELY, Dhalsim's mobility learning curve is extremely high because of his weird floating mechanism. You have to CONSTANTLY reset the direction to neutral or else he hovers/drills which obviously leaves you open.
Yeah he's definitely slept on. Super hard to use but anyone I've ever seen that was actually good with him was devastating
But other than that he's fun 😁😁

Perhaps, but all the Resi characters are 'superheroes' at this point, even kept with near-human abilities. All they've been through and all. Think of....Leon, say. From rookie cop to bodyguard for the President's Daughter.

Yeah sim is bad ass and slept on so it makes him look even better if somebody is good with him cuz usually the other person won't expect it and then not fight against it as well as another top-tier character. He's insanely difficult to use. I tried before

Max, by the way, when you use Jill's Dogs or Zombie, you're supposed to use your sentinel assist at the same timee to cover your ass until the dog or zombie makes it on screen, then you rush forwards, summon sentinel again, do your thing, and then summon more zombies or dogs with another sentinel assist = rinse and repeat.
I'm what you'd consider a JPS player. Jill, Psylocke. Sentinel.

The Rogue/Ken/Thanos team is something. Rogue's combo at 12:11 literaly took my breath away. I've played this game a lot but never saw things like that. It's too bad she wasn't in Marvel Vs Capcom 3.
Dhalsim is actually borderline broken in this game but he's really hard to use. If mvc2 online was still popular and people cares about winning in this game there would definitely be more sims.

Yeah if the game kept evolving as a main game in the FGC (also fresh players/new blood coming in) I can see him being used more. Never know after just one change like that what other things might have changed.

I always thought Rogue could have been the most powerful character in superhero genre ever. Think about she can absorb anyones powers. She already has super strength, flight, and can absorb memories as well. If she holds on long enough she can keep another mutant's powers. Could you imagine what would happen if she took Wolverine's cellular regeneration, Night Crawler's power of teleportation, Mystic's power of transformation, Xavier's telekinetic powers, the powers of Phoenix, Storm's powers over the elements, and Magneto's hatred for humans. She could have been a Goddess of ultimate power. She makes a great X-men but I think her potential as a villain went to waste.

Absorbing too many powers and memories/consciousnesses will be too much for her. This is exemplified when she came into contact with the Hekatomb, which stored thousands and thousands of minds within, like a psychic bomb, and was detonated. Rogue went into a coma when she absorbed all those minds within the Hekatomb, and was saved only by Gambit kissing the newly born Hope Summers onto her forehead. This got rid of all the minds she had absorbed and finally allowed Rogue to control her powers.
Lord of Keks yea Protege can do what she can infinitely better.

what makes it even worse is i downloaded the demo version ages ago off of PSN with the intent to buy the full game but i never got round to it, sooo frustrating having access to the 6 character demo yet i cant do a damn thing to get the full thing /cry
Hopefully Capcom stops being a shit so that Disney can give them permission to use the Marvel license again. I wanna play MvC2 so badly.

I love see other character besides the main three being played. I can understand the hype of those characters but just way more interesting to see the others being played. Maybe new tech could evolve from it. It's MAHVEL.

I wasn't paying attention when Max said his "beautiful team" so I look on screen and see Rouge and Ken thinking that was his team. Then the guy picks Thanos and I laughed.

He gets killed rather easily and isn't too difficult to lame out especially because he's particularly slow.

When I used to play MvsC 2 on arcades I found a lot of good players with Anakaris, the first one of the video is not the best I've ever seen but it's so good. It's weird that Max never found one even online.

I'll always love this game. Just trying out different teams and assists to see which sets work the best and are the most fun for you. I had a killer Guile/Thanos/Amingo sometimes swap Amingo for Ken. Surprisingly effective and you can get great damage and easy connect on 3 DHCs with how their supers work.

I've seen anakaris and dhalsim combos back in the day. When used right. They are incredibly op . Pretty much unstoppable

Never liked Anakaris. Can't control him and hate fighting against him. His combos look so fast, but I get my hands on him and he's just... so... slow.
There are some really interesting MvC2 Dhalsim videos on youtube, he's really good.

i remember when my uncle would play this on the ps3 and i would always watch
4:55 the player you were playing against doesn't know how to play the characters or team he's using. I didn't see any triangle-jumps from Magneto, any combos with Juggernaut into standing hard into assists followed with Juggernaut Punches [for half health], or Earth Quakers. he was too obsessed with the headcrush, Also, he didn't choose Boneclaws Variety [A dedicated low hitting assist] to enhance his Magneto's [nonexistent in his play] triangle-jumps.
7:27 You mentioned a Double Wolverine player. I don't know about that, but I do know that there are some double Wolverine teams that are decent. Metal, Sentinel, Bone-y [that order], // Metal, Storm-a, Bone-y, // Metal Anti-air, Gambit-a, Bone-y are the ones I think would have the most success. Metal, Doom-y/a Bone-y could work.
-Much of this stems from the fact that Bone-y assist is a dedicated low hit, so any kind of overhead pressure [triangle-jumps, fly stomps, instant overheads, etc...] will result in high-low single/double block fails and possible unblockables.
8:46 Don't rely on Capcom assist to keep Rogue off you. Rogue can if hit, airdash forwards, then divekick hitting Capcom. Most Rogue players don't know this, but I've seen it happen. Just be careful about it.
10:11 After all air hits on standing opponents, dash in if you intend to
do a combo to launch. The combo would have worked. Actually, almost
without exception dash before you attack from the ground. There are far
to many combos I know in MvC2 that fail when you don't.
12:40 No more airdashing just before the photon array. Use a hp whiff cancel as it's easier to control, and will cause all the photons to hit. The only time you airdash just before an air photon array super is when you hk, then airdash forwards [horizontal], then do it.
12:51 If he was closer you might have gotten away with that, but the flower wasn't close enough to Rogue to be covered by the photons.
13:12 That doesn't look to me like someone who's been playing for a week. It takes months if not years to be that good.
15:46 when comboing into air photon array, just before doing the super, do a hp, and kara whiff it and super, or do a hk, airdash forwards, and super. You get more damage, and it's harder to screw it up.
