Very nice car. Pissed me off seeing the comments picking out flaws; lets see what they're driving. You've certainly put a lot of hard work and time into it. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Better to be pissed off than pissed on. You and your boyfriend can walk over to that table over there for your participation trophy cupcake.
Looks like it is a clone, they never had that hood, and the stripes were never like that. A Yenko Deuce ZL1 427 in 1968 ( It is believed that only 15-25 SS 427-powered 1968 Novas were sold by Harrell through a network of Chevrolet dealerships, each of which included a full limited warranty) would not look like this.
Baldwin/Motion Performance sidepipe-equipped machines produced by Joel Rosen of Motion Performance in conjunction with Baldwin Chevrolet were nothing short of awesome. For around $3,600, each model had the 396 engine removed and, in its place was stuffed a more potent 450-horse 427 Rat motor. It also was delivered with a Muncie close-ratio four speed, Positraction rear end with re-welded spring perches, wide F-70x14 tires, dual exhaust, SS 427 emblems, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, modified 7500 rpm ignition, heavy-duty radiator, power front disc brakes, full dyno tune and factory warranty.
For a mere $1,200 more, there was a healthier version available that featured a 500-horse engine, Super-Bite suspension, a large three-barrel Holley carb and special aluminum intake manifold, modified Mallory ignition system, dual electric fuel pumps, tuned equal-length headers, fiberglass hood scoop, racing clutch and aluminum flywheel encased in a competition-approved scattershield. Needless to say, these cars were the epitome of street performance.
Nickey Chevrolet was by far the largest of the auto dealers involved in selling aftermarket performance cars during its heyday. In fact, if you wanted speed parts, you simply walked next door to Nickey's own speed shop. But, as is often the case with larger businesses, exact information is hard to come by regarding Nickey's potent lineup of Novas. It's certain, however, that the dealership produced 427-powered Novas prior to 1970 that were a handful on the street and at the track.

The Ultimate Phantom COPO - Nova SS 427 ZL1
With genuine ZL1 1969 Camaros and Yenko Deuce Nova prices hitting the stratosphere, these special cars seem almost unobtainable for most of us. But take a close look at this very special Nova! This Nova SS 427 ZL1 was built as a phantom car, combining the best of both of its ancestors in a car that GM never built, but should have. A very special car indeed.
This special Nova is powered by one of GM's limited edition, all aluminum 427 ZL1 crate engines. With only a limited number produced, this engine is almost as rare as the original ZL1s! Backed by a Doug Nash 4-speed transmission, and 12 bolt 3.73 rear, this Nova means serious business.
Faithfully restored to represent a big block SS Nova, this car has all the right components including factory bucket seats and console, professionally refurbished factory SS gauges, 200MPH speedometer, factory fast-ratio steering, and more.
Beautifully finished in Chevrolet Redline Red with black vinyl roof and black SS stripes (under clear coat), this car is stunning. With all new chrome, factory SS wheels and Goodyear Polyglass raised letter tires, this monster looks like its sitting on the Chevrolet showroom.
Find out how to make this one of a kind Nova yours. Call Art & Speed at (901) 850-0507.

Awsome car, love Novas but this one is one the best I have seen, congrats.
Smooth nova..haters who knock it because they wish they had it
Small, simple, but with a BIG ASS ENGINE. Truly a Muscle Car! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Based on today's standards, you're right....But back in 60s/70s when I grew up, the definition of a muscle car was mid-size, simple, cram the biggest engine you could into it!
Speedometer iz km/h? That's rare for Chevy vehicle(s).
Where is the chevyII insignia on the truck and the Nova insignias’s on the rear quarters?
Mine said Chevy II on the center of the hood chrome over the grill too!
@@hotrodrebel855 yep Mine also had “Super Sport” spelled out on front lower quarter panel and blocks in the hood.
your going to lie to the public . thats is a 1968 Nova. check it frist i can recall is a CHEVY 2 Nova . its the frist big body . im a nut comes to the novas from 1962-76 novas .from Gordon in Flint Michigan .
Everybody picks that's what jealousy does to the ignorant folks ..love the nova i can apprieciate the style and year and scarcity...however one does it ...its kool ..u see a 68 nova pass you ..how often ? ..once in a blue moon ? Thays how rare these novas are getting ..undervalued in my opinon ..
Uh. One of my very favorite car's of all time. What a total man toy. Love it. I don't think I could ever sell it.
Really love the color combination. Nice!!
If I had a time-machine I'd travel back to 1972 and pick out one of these, have it shipped to Norway along with some good go-fast-farts and other good stuff and have it all hermetically sealed. And then travel back and get the car going again in this day and age.
My dreamcar. Right there. Absolutely love it. If I had one just like this (Or black) I'd just cruise during the summer with my girl and just enjoy a car from what seems to be a simpler (and better??) time.
200 mph Speedo...where did you get that?????
Klicks Canadian
Yea if I'm not misstaken the Nova's were built in Canada.. like the Dodge darts were I THINK... I don't remember
This was my dream car in HS
Nice 68, Missing some emblems to be a real SS but still a nice car
Great machine.... I had the oportunity to see a Chevy Nova in Houston, take a look of my video. ;)
Owned a 1968 SS 396 4speed L78 very fast red black top added headers and changed cam it now had 450 HP with those changes
Raymond Schreiner woaoo I really like the sound of the engine... cool 😎
Lili Spot Was very fast, the fastest out of all the hot rods I've owned and its been a lot of them.
@Jimmythy I Camaros, Z/28, SS 396, RS/SS 350 (3), even a 250 6 cyl . Mustangs, 68 GT, 66 Gt350, 70 BOSS 302. Corvettes, 69 L88, 71 350 conv., American motors, Rebel, Cougar eliminator 429 boss. Pontiac 71 formula 455 HO.
Is that a real ZL1 427? If not still 1 very clean sweet looking nova! From maniacal s10 RUclips.
No that’s not a real ZL1 those heads give it away. Still really nice car.
Nice Nova! ... Well done clip. 👍
to bad it is not breathing out of that hood scoop,, this is a dream car,, daily driver :)
needs headers ,but otherwise perfect nova and all aluminum engine !!good job
427/4speed.. wow! 200mph speedo! How about the rectangle tach? The console looks Z28.. really nice
I owned one of these when I was 16 years old.
Nice job! A lot of hard work.👍👍 ( It seems there is always going to be at least 1 moron who picks out flaws in the comments. POS💩)
I loved it the only problems I Noticed, the passenger side door needs to be aligned and the exhaust tips should. Clear the bumped to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
😆🤣🤡
Thats the nicest nova i have ever seen. What a cam too. I could listen to that thing idle all day. Best in show winner all day long.
Let's see the cowl tag......
Unicorn beautiful deuce master skills and it shows winter’s aluminum 427 BBC is so rare and Coveted enjoy it and God bless
Too bad the Don yanko nova was the only nova to have the 427 this was never built by or produced by Chevrolet it's a fake and there are only 8 yanko novas known to exist 😊
It isn't advertised as a Yenko Nova. I just found this car online. It has a 200mph speedo and it is a USA car. A previous owner built it with a ZL-1, the speedo and other parts. Notice the double alternator pulley? It is advertised as having that mileage. Who knows if it is accurate?
Too bad that every last one of the 37 Yenko 427 Novas left the factory as SS 396/375 cars . Also Yenko wasn't the only dealership that was building 427 Novas back then , ever hear of Berger in Grand Rapids , Michigan , Nickey in Chicago , Baldwin Motion in Long Island , Dana Chevrolet in California, or Fred Gibbs in La Harpe , Illinois ? Fred Gibbs ordered the first fifty 'of the '69 ZL/1 Camaros , while Yenko was playing with the cast iron cars .
Those lifters are hydraulics...& a tad noisy...need to be seein' to that..
solid lift cam
all the cars i had and the ones i wish that i still did thanks cooter d
B E A U T I F U L. ! !
ps the back tires could be a little taller/wider ect thinkin cragars on all fours
A 1968 Nova with 1968 miles on the odometer ? what are the odds on that ?
It's out of gas, no A/C, and the rims look like they came off a Firebird. It says it has a 427 in too many spots. Get add on A/C, put rally rims on it, put the original hood back on, and fill up the tank. Other than that, nice ride.
Tim Campbell its called narcisism 🤔 i mean ur attitude 😅
Buy the car and change it yourself. Why does it have to have a/c?
Steering wheel is a nice touch but I don't care for the hood emblem
Agree it kind of tacky looking. Just 427 would have been nice
Rare bird!
Wow, lotta jealous nit pickers commenting here, as usual.
Idle it up a little 😁
Man that’s a big cam, your eyes must burn from the Vox.
Solid lifters!?,thumpercam s
Ahhh poor cam begging for oil😩😩
Beautiful ride love it
Very clean😎😍
Nicely done 👍
Love it
Sounds like it's under water.
Tribute car? nicely done.
why is the passenger door kicked out on the bottom? And yes it is fully shut.
George Tubbs probably Bono or wreck or both
a classy masterpiece 😍
I can feel the cam in my stomach
Sounds like shit tbh!!!
ie grumpy bill
How did you get those rear quarter windows down all the way?! My 71 only go down about half way. Which is factory.
Adrian Tomlin do some engineering body work dude and then you'll get it right 😷
It's a totally original car bud!! From 69 to 72 they only go down half way!!
@@adriantomlin2902 I had a '68 ,a pair of '69s and a '70 , on all four of those cars the windows went all the way down .
its missing the tips on the end of the exhaust pipes. extend out just past the rear bumper. this will keep those black soot stains from the bumper. prob sound better too! liked & subscribed
It isn't advertised as original.
Looking at those gauges, it looks like it'll pass everything but the gas station and do so at incredible speed. Especially since its a nova. I love novas, don't get me wrong, but 200 mph? That's gotta be Canadian or custom. Everyone already mentioned the door, and the exhaust tips, so how about that selling price? 40 grand sound like a good start?
🤣😳🖖
That’s a beauty!
runnin like shit
Ohh Charlie . . .
Awesome Nova
Very nice car
It’s a baby chevelle. Nice
I had a 1970 copo427 what a beast 💯
I think I would like to handle that 4spd...about the time that 427 starts to wake up...I rememberrrrrrrrrr
alunimen radiatoro in 68 ??
It must have a Kph speedometer.
hell yeah sexy lil 68 love the novas my dad has a big tire 68 would'nt change a thing
Great cheap muscle 15k
Hmm... It looks like Camaro SS to me with the oldest model
Beautiful nova ...👍❤
It is a real Z71 427, and is available for purchase again!
How much?
Lol Chevrolet never produced any nova with the 427block fact!
The yanko option was only nova with the 427 nice try thow and there are only 8 known left to exist
How mutch?
@@kennycunningham6963 the Yenko cars started out as SS 396s and we're converted to 427/425 , they did not ome from the factory as 427 cars .
You better get some gas.
beautiful car like new
Sounds sooo strong...
Beautiful nova I have 72 nova in sequoia green / black vinyl roof all original accepted engine and did same setup as yours but it sbc427
With some rare stuff add to it
Rare Nickey traction bars
Gabriel pro shocks 3 ways adjustment
3.90 posi 10 bolts rear
Stage 2 auto street/strip
Odometer shows 1968 miles. Coincidence? Or fraud.
Right gauges on the console but the wrong dash. The 68 SS dash came with a tic toc tac. The tac was part of the clock one year only, makes it easy to tell a fake.
I'd like to see the suspension, if it's been 'beefed up' any, I had a nova but it wasn't one of these, I put a sb 400 w/turbo 400 w/ shift kit, shoved the rear shocks up through the rear wheelhouse.
You need to talk and tell us about the car. Nice Nova.
Wrong, 62
What a Nice duece
Very nice car.
Looks like it needs gas or a fixed gauge
Gauge probably FINE, but ya gotta own your own gas pump to drive a 427!
@@DawnNLN-ee2kh No doubt. Throw one in the trunk! Lol!!
I would hope the rear brakes are upgraded to disc......
Where did you get that dash old with tac and 200 mph
Loose fuel line
fu
Nice car but bad idle !
Really are u that fucking slow?
Give you 10 grand for ‘this bono buggy
LMFAO! You mean $30,000.00 don't ya ???
Dawn Witmer no it full of bono. Under that paint who knows what there. The door the hood don’t match up. They probably just put this pretty paint on and cover all the Bono and in a couple years it will probably look like junk.
@@ratj4715 Bono?! As in Sonny Bono?!
Bahaha gtfo
Nice Nova, if the passenger door was adjusted
fu
I could fix that door and take the SS off the hood. What is Fu
@@rodneystapler1213 lol...it mean fuck u
Rodney Stapler prolly the MONSTER torque of that 427, twisted the sub-frame, now the damn door won’t shut😂
Rodney Stapler If it was that easy to fix they would’ve done it and the hood. Who knows what under this paint probably not good. Probably a lot of Bono
Very nice!
This is the best I've seen
