Aw, it shows how much they've progressed until now. They used to really struggle without Jonghyun, but from kcon paris this year, you can see they covered for him really well. Of course it's not the same without one of them there, but they're such a strong vocal group now that they can handle it.

I'm with SHINee since 1 of 1 era, hence I've never watched any stage performance of Taemin covering Jonghyun's part, so I was so surprised to see that Taemin has actually covered him tons of time before! Way before From Now On concert in Japan (when he covered most of Jonhgyun's part, especially the high notes). Wow, years of vocal training paid off! From being scouted by SM merely coz of his dance talent, then debuted in SHINee when he was just 15yo! Now? He debuted as solo artist at the age of 21yo (2014) and released new songs EVERY year, has also debuted as solo artist in Japan, then in SM project group SuperM (2019).. more? He was always there for shawols (iglive, vlive, bubble, raretaem, taemlog etc.) during the enlistment of his three brothers in military, And? In 2021, Ready for comeback with SHINee's 7th album! omg he's amazing! 🥰 3. Key seriously deserves an award. He is damn mulitalented ever since debut! I was so surprised I remembered him saying that on his audition, he danced his whole heart out to grab SM's attention! Haha yeah he passed! There is sadness in this but the happiness that they brought to all their fans are priceless. The countless hours of practice, hard work, and dedications that they all gave in each and every performance is beyond words. So happy that I found SHINEE as my first KPOP idol. I think it's better now (2015-2016), I can differentiate their voices unless they sing with a specific style (for back vocals). Taemin is slowly finding his singing style.
I agree with that more so now that Taemin's vocal strength has improved so much over the years, but even back in 2011 when I was first getting into SHINee and I only had pre-Sherlock era songs to live off of I got Taemin/Jonghyun confused so much when I was trying to put voices to faces from just listening to the cds lol (also Minho/Key but not nearly as much)

SHINee's tips on covering other member's parts: divide the parts, and 2 or 3 members covering 1 member's parts. Even in the early years, Minho and Taemin (at that time their vocals were undeveloped) step up to cover other member's parts, respect!
I agree with all when they say that Minho and Taemin have improved because is true however, I think that in most cases they were really nervious. Is not that they didn't know how to sing is just that they are trembling, actually. You can listen in their voices... poor babies. I hope they never get injured again, in any way.
This video is so sad because who would've thought that they would be performing like this from a certain point in time til the time SHINee decides to finally stop. Jonghyun's shoes are hard to fill. We all miss him but Shinee will always and forever be 5.

The reason why Taemin and Minho have improved so much is practice, practice makes perfect, there is no shortcuts, people think you sing and that is it and no, your voice is an instrument that you need to tune everyday for hours to learn how to use it.

There is sadness in this but the happiness that they brought to all their fans are priceless. The countless hours of practice, hard work, and dedications that they all gave in each and every performance is beyond words. So happy that I found SHINEE as my first KPOP idol. I think without Jjong, the SHINee stage is so hard, now they are need to cover it until the end of their life 😭
What is irony is (that) the member who has missed the most is a lead vocal of SHINee and the person has the highest-note pitch ^___^ I can understand how hard other members cover his part.....

Is it just me or it's hard to differentiate Jonghyun's and Taemin's voice nowadays?
nur110594 yea its getting harder to differentiate their high notes, but I can still tell by listening whos singing since they each have distinguishable voices and techniques
Yes, they have their unique voices, but I like that Taemin can cover any of Jonghyun's lines and make it sound as beautiful as ever.
I think it's better now (2015-2016), I can differentiate their voices unless they sing with a specific style (for back vocals). Taemin is slowly finding his singing style.
I agree with that more so now that Taemin's vocal strength has improved so much over the years, but even back in 2011 when I was first getting into SHINee and I only had pre-Sherlock era songs to live off of I got Taemin/Jonghyun confused so much when I was trying to put voices to faces from just listening to the cds lol (also Minho/Key but not nearly as much)
Zorya Utrennyaya true. I think it is because Jonghyun was the one who helped train/practice after they debuted so he had sounded similar to Jonghyun's style but he is finding his own style now. :D

SHINee's tips on covering other member's parts: divide the parts, and 2 or 3 members covering 1 member's parts.
Even in the early years, Minho and Taemin (at that time their vocals were undeveloped) step up to cover other member's parts, respect!

I agree with all when they say that Minho and Taemin have improved because is true however, I think that in most cases they were really nervious. Is not that they didn't know how to sing is just that they are trembling, actually. You can listen in their voices... poor babies. I hope they never get injured again, in any way.

This video is so sad because who would've thought that they would be performing like this from a certain point in time til the time SHINee decides to finally stop. Jonghyun's shoes are hard to fill. We all miss him but Shinee will always and forever be 5.

i feel bad looking back and seeing all the times the members were sick and missed out on performances and filming stuff. it makes me want to hug their past selves. :( but it's nice to see how much they grew, esp minho and taemin. all the members can cover each other's parts amazingly now. ✨ character development ✨
The reason why Taemin and Minho have improved so much is practice, practice makes perfect, there is no shortcuts, people think you sing and that is it and no, your voice is an instrument that you need to tune everyday for hours to learn how to use it.
Jonghyun...are you going to let them cover for you...this is not fair...please come back
