Stop tempting me guys!!! I have a T-35 in my stash and would love to build it soon because the kit is beautiful, got 1/100 IS-2 as well, and would love to build a KV-2 again! Abrams maybeee one day in 1/48 scale. If it were for me this channel would be all about Soviet and What-if tanks, but I have to keep some variety in the content :)
Well, I just spent all morning watching this series & it was worth every second. Learned a lot and was very entertained, too. Perfect! Thanks, Martin, for all your vids. Oh yeah, I subbed too.
Fantastic in all its areas: ingenious comments, splendid editing and, above all, top notch techniques. Enjoyed the whole series very much, and learnt a lot too.
Excellent, excellent, excellent! Really enjoyed this series. Its been very informative and very professionally put together, well done Martin! Very much looking forward to your next tank!
Superb finish Martin! I've certainly learned a great deal more behind the "why" and "how" of armour modelling techniques through this series. Keep that mojo going! Cheers!
I watch this vid from start to finish. Seeing the whole process from the start process of your first video of this then seeing it how you finished it here. This is the best Tutorial on scale modeling. Every effect you made are looking absolute reality. The Best process I've seen! Thank you for sharing your tips and skills man!
Just watched the whole series. Excellent work, wonderful commentary, and helpful instructions on how to achieve the different effects. Thank you very much for posting these, and I look forward to seeing more videos! Krásná a inspirující práce Martine! Díky moc!
My SharoTank kit is waiting on my doorstep right now! I just saw it in my doorbell camera! I'm going to do a sort of reverse Lend/Lease kind of thing. I'll be replacing the original machine guns with Browning M1919s and hopefully replace the tread with Sherman Type 80 tracks! :)
Thank you for the top-notch videos!!🙌 Loved the commentary as well :) I'm hoping for more small scale video series. After seeing your 1/72 O-I i'm more than curious about your braille scale techniques. Keep up the good work!!!!
Love your attitude and style man! This series was inspiring to say the least. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks after all. Keep up the great work.
That was an amazing series (and built of course)! The result is really amazing and the way you make these videos is really professional as well. I can easily see why your channel grows so fast ;)
Thanks for doing this lovely kit, Martin. I couldn't wait to get hold of the kit when it was released and now I have a whole arsenal of techniques that I could try out on it. I am, however, more inclined to do a less 'in service' finish than yours, but toning down the work you've done should give me a 'clean but used' look.
Great job! I'm more an aircraft modeler, but sure I will be able to re-use some of your technics. I will watch the other video for sure. Greeting from France.
Hi Night Shift. I’m applying the graphite technique and wondered if you clear coat afterwards to fix it. I want to keep the shine so don’t want to Matt coat it. Thanks for your inspirational videos. Big fan!
Great work, ive been trying to get people to use soft B pencil's for ages.5B and 9B,they reflect light more to scale, not as 'flat' as metal paint on small parts.LYRA Graphitkriede, big crayons up to 9B.Last forever.
Not many will believe it.Have you seen ROCHM model's website? They make Photo etch. They make WnW and ZM look lazy. They are modellers, there is a Somua in the gallery with PE upgrades, might get some ideas.
Heard you might build RFM t34\122,i built it recently.Have a look at turret from front, now add some camoflage strips of canvass hanging from roof down the sides, then an mg 34 mounted on a tall swing mount on the side. The Predator!
Really cool. But personally I would have added the Red Star decals to emphasize it was a Soviet tank. By the way, this sells for almost $100 on Amazon Canada. Yikes!
Humm, interesting, I'm well, probably an Is 3 isoif stalin , in 1/35? (right now I'm finishing to build one, of trumpeter, and probably I'm gonna need help at the painting with references, as like your ball tank "that is fak... Awesome remembers me to the fallout games vehicles and stuff" Oh and the important thing that I wanna ask u: how you protect your models? In the way of barnishes? PD awesome build and I'm love it :D
Thanks mate! No, it's not gonna be an IS-3, although I have one in 72 scale in my stash, but that one will come later. I'd say just watch the entire playlist, as this type of weathering I did on this model perfectly applies to any other Soviet tank, including an IS-3. Lol I spent several hundreds of hours playing Fallout 3. Do you mean varnishing? I just use a gloss coat right after I apply the markings, that's the only varnish I ever use. Varnishing during the weathering process would dull the different textures of each weathering layer. Just give them enough time to dry and they'll hold.
@@NightShiftScaleModels wow many many thanks for all :D and keep making this awesome videos please (and sorry for the varnish word with b all the time) , things that happen with the corrector of the mobile and dislexia XDXDXDXD very fun, ;P
Do you have any sci-fi kits that you recommend that have good kit-bashing parts in them? I have a few Tamiya tank kits laying around, and as I get older I see less and less of a point in fetishising military equipment, and the whole "historically accurate AFV" thing has been done to death and then some, so I'd like to turn them into some Sci-Fi monstrosities, much like some of your builds that I've seen bits of, but I need to part out some sci-fi kits (namely some sophisticated looking antennas, radomes, hydraulics, weaponry, panelling, etc.) to do so, but I know literally nothing about that side of the modelling world. I've built a couple of Star Trek kits, but that's the extent of my involvement with the genre. Any help would be appreciated. Right now I'm building a "quad-pod" of 1/35 Panzer IV chassis' (basically a small Paris Cannon supported by 4 tanks revolving around a central turret instead of a train car) with a heavily-modified 1/24 M777 field-howitzer supported in the middle of them in an open-topped turret, but I am direly in need of some high-tech looking detail parts for that, and the bigger, Panther/IS-3 supported closed-top version I plan to build with an actual 1/35 Paris Cannon kit if I can find one.
ANYONE WANNA BET WHAT THE NEXT MODEL WILL BE?
PLACE YOUR BIDS IN THE COMMENTS! :D
Trumpeter KV-2?
JS-2 maybe?
Abrams!

@@NightShiftScaleModels Yes, a T-35 done by you would be very interesting to watch!
This is one of the best RUclips scalemodels channel I've ever seen. Subscribed and waiting to continue!
Thanks so much Max! I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming stuff!
Thoroughly enjoyed this series as well as your humor. Thanks.
Utterly amazing. I'm lost for words. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Man, the title of this video gave me flashbacks to when my nine year old son used to wipe the floor with me in Mortal Kombat.
Fantastic work, it's by far the best minature painting and texturing guide on the internet.
Well, I just spent all morning watching this series & it was worth every second. Learned a lot and was very entertained, too. Perfect! Thanks, Martin, for all your vids. Oh yeah, I subbed too.
I enjoy this build. Awesome work. Very helpful and well explained!!!!
High quality videos and high quality models.
Did not know about the graphite pencil trick. Thank you
Wow even though you say you would change a few things its still turned out fantastic in my eyes great series
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING Mate !!! Thanks For Sharing n God Bless.
Fantastic in all its areas: ingenious comments, splendid editing and, above all, top notch techniques. Enjoyed the whole series very much, and learnt a lot too.
Thanks a lot mate! Hope to see you here for the next series as well!
This belongs in a dystopian diorama. Especially cool would be to open the door to the finished interior. Wow.
Absolutely LOVED this series. My thanks for the tremendous instruction and inspiration!
Excellent, excellent, excellent! Really enjoyed this series. Its been very informative and very professionally put together, well done Martin! Very much looking forward to your next tank!
I'm extremely glad to hear that mate!

Great channel! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome finishing, editing and film making on all levels, however your humour is what makes this video stand out!
Thanks! This ball tank was my first 10 videos and truth be told I was a bit microphone-shy lol :)

Late to the party but fantastic job mate, was thinking about picking this model up when I can afford to get started with building and painting
I watched the 10 videos of this series.
Excellent work and great tutorials.
Kudos!
Rain would streak radially from the top down on a tank like this.
That's my impression too; like longitude lines on a globe.
Just watched the whole series. Excellent work, wonderful commentary, and helpful instructions on how to achieve the different effects. Thank you very much for posting these, and I look forward to seeing more videos! Krásná a inspirující práce Martine! Díky moc!
Aj ja ďakujem za zhliadnutie aj za pekný komentár!
Dear Martin, Outstanding tutorials! Truly very inspirational. Kind Regards Johnny
Just Wow. I had no interest in this kit until now. Stunning job from start to finish
Thanks! It's definitely something different and worth having in your collection.

Ooof! Those tracks sound like a pretty drastic modification, good luck mate!
Why don’t you have more subscribers?!?! Your the best modeler I’ve found on YT!!!
Thank you for the top-notch videos!!🙌 Loved the commentary as well :)

Thanks mate! The upcoming 1/72 series will be interesting, and I actually enjoyed it more than this!
Wonderful!
Add some sort of lifting harness to it, and BAM! New Christmas ornament!
You're giving me ideas for a Christmas special!
Love your attitude and style man! This series was inspiring to say the least. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks after all. Keep up the great work.

PERFECT!
Thanks Gabriel!
The phrog is finished
Such a beautiful paint job... on such a ridiculous model. 😅
No matter with subject,I'd like to see the way you painted the isu 152!
Oh well that's an older style of mine and I don't do models that way anymore :) But I'll do something similar for sure.
Do you add anything to fix the graphite in place after you've applied it? Does it rub off if the part is touched?
I know it! A sherman (🤷🏻♂️) nice vid bro
Nah it's a Wittman's Tiger!
done

Graphite beats any metallic paint or pigment.

all of those videos and i just noticed it had a rear machine gun

One of the red star decals was messed up... 😭
I'm hoping the next thing is something German. But I always want that.
Haha sorry to disappoint Adam! I'm afraid to build German tanks! :D (but I have a Tiger or two in my stash)
youre photograph skills are truely very good. what supply and settings do you use? a very short statement would be great.
Thanks Alex. Nikon D5100, lightcube and 3 lamps with 6000K LED bulbs. Shooting on full manual. ISO 100, F25 and 1.1-1.4 shutter speed.
