Thanks for the review, and repeating what the website stated about the states the barrel isn’t currently available. After doing some searching it’s stated that installing a threaded barrel on a semi-auto pistol creates an illegal unregistered assault weapon. Thus, you’re not able to legally register it in the state of California. I can’t wait to leave this state, and go back to FL.

The “SD” in SD9 means Self Defense and it purposely has a self-defense trigger. Y’all are taking a purpose built weapon, a Volkswagen and trying to make it a Porsche. If ya want a Porsche, go buy a Porsche. I own many high end pistols but a trigger like what’s on the SD9 is already what it’s supposed to be 6+ lbs, long pull, crisp break. S&W engineering is smarter than y’all. 16+1 is more than enough capacity for a self-defense gun-and it’s all supposed to be light and as compact as possible for EDC. You’ve made it longer, taller, heavier, bulkier and I’m confused as to why ya didn’t just go buy that in the first place, with my point being, ya wanna screw up a Glocks perfection, start aftermarketing it up. This is not, nor will it ever be my HK VP9 Tactical as those firearms were designed from the ground up, as was the “Self Defense”9, for a specific purpose.
A $200 barrel for a $300 pistol? I did the springs on mine for $20 and that is all I want to spend upgrading a $300 pistol. I can live with the stock trigger. I would probably do a light or some type sights before that barrel. Good job on your videos Josh.
