Just starting with my coding-journey, but those videos get me hyped for every single new lesson!
You’re doing great work Jacob, truly appreciate that.
The right alignment of the explorer actually makes sense. I'll experiment with it in my following videos 😃 Thanks for the idea Jacob! Keep up the good work! 😊
I LOVE these videos where you go in-depth in your startup.
Jacob stays killing it with these video and the consistency! One of my favorite channels

I’ve been following your work for some time now, and the Repo Bear project sounds really interesting! I’m glad I get to tag along on the projects progress as a fellow software engineer (originally from Sweden and currently working in Washington DC), good luck my man!
Great video as always! Can't wait to see Repobear in it's full glory!
This channel and your videos are so well done. You are genuinely putting out content that is the quality level of channels with 100k or 1m subs. Keep up the great work.
Wow, thank you!

The UX looks sick bro 😮
Vlogging my day to day life would be so boring - WFH hah
As always, awesome vlog Jacob!
Publish a video and let's see!
Very interesting videos Jacob!! Watching your journey makes me want to give my 200% on everything, so thank you because you are a motivation for me to keep following. Lately I have been thinking about start sharing my dev journey here in RUclips. Any advices? :D
Just get started!
Could you do a video on how you set up your application pattern? I see you using repositories and dtos and services which are abstractions not everyone might know yet. Could quickly explain which part of your app handles which tasks :)
I'm glad your channel is taking off because watching it just makes me smile!
Thanks for the idea!
Could you do an in-depth review of your stack? Why you use what you use? What you like about some aspects of each element, what you don’t like? 🙏
Great idea!
So many videos, you are inspiring me to code, also quick question if you see this - how do i mange to learn new tech stack with a 9 hr full time job?
Keep the videos coming😍
Seems like for projects I always over think it after seeing your idea… also you make me want to try type script
so fast wow!
Nice video mate! What backpack do you have?
It's a quiksilver one
Awesome Video Jacob! Just curious, how do you design/plan your UI? Do you prototype on Figma or other platforms? If so would be awesome to see that as well. Cheers!
I just experiment really
great videos
Jacob doesn’t suck at code anymore
Go Jacob, keep going on the flow, why you prefer tailwind instead of bootstrap? thanks a lot
I actually use both. I switch it up for different projects
Nice one, did you consider using react-query? so you don't need to manage loading state yourself
Yes I use it a lot!
can you do a video to show all your extensions on visual studio code? love your videos!
Great idea!
Let’s gooo
8:11 It would be more appealing if the border size is the same on hover as it is by default.
Im a bit curious, if you made it a SPA, are you still using nextjs or did you migrate to plain old react?
oh nvm, i continued the video
I like your glasses, what frames are those?
They’re from Bailey Nelson
What are your thoughts on Test Driven Development? I personally find it really tedious and intrusive to my flow during building, but maybe that's just because I haven't done it enough. Dev Chat topic perhaps?
Yeah good idea!
Hey jacob really cool channel name mostly true for me as well lol would love to see your journey of building subscribing to your channel now 😀
First one here 🙌
Very Amazing Video❤!! What the name your VS-Code theme!!
Night owl
Jacob i saw u on Marko's comment 😂
I'm in a big dilemma right now .... should I follow Jacob to the dark side and move my directory display to the right in vs code or be a sheep 🤔
I use Neovim btw
Where are you more focused on your app frontend or backend ?
Both everyday.
Yo, s/o all the way from south Africa.. I wanted to ask if you've seen this new AI Software developer called Devin?
Also I'm getting my laptop next so excited to start my dev journey. ✌🏾❤
How should we apply for the jobs. ? After getting the full knowledge or little bit knowledge is of for getting the job ?
Once you feel like you can contribute some skills to a junior position
What do you think about expressjs vs nestjs?
Nest is better. It’s express with superpowers.
what frame works do you use for back end and front end
Lots of Typescript!
Roughly how much do you think you spend on coffee from cafes a month?
Not that much actually haha. I only really do it for videos
Question: do you use axios to hit your api backend or another way?
Yes, I use axios. However, I also have fully typed endpoints through swagger. So my response types are automatic when using axios.
@@JacobSucksAtCode okay, so I guess no server side components and none of that server actions?
@@JacobSucksAtCode cuz I've been trynna switch to nextjs instead of vite, but I'm not sure how I would handle my data if I'm not gonna use their SSR and server actions
@@alaeherrak388 you can use api routes and server components if you want
what is the platform ur coding on is it vsc

Helloooooo
What theme do you use?

If you're interested The Primeagen has some really good takes on Devin and AI in general.
🤷🏼
Are you working alone on this project? (web design, frontend, backend) . Nice video (good music, good visual). I like to see NY during your vlogs.
