    Nice, you got the updated Liberty frame!! I have an older version where the down bars that in the rear that go to the very bottom of the hoop section are inset, where your down bars are welded directly to the that piece where both hoop sections snap into at the bottom, nice to see they're continuously improving the frame. So if I but land my extremely heavy Thor 202 engine, it'll bend that inset part at the very rear, where with yours there is nothing to bend. I can easily bend mine back with a hammer and block of wood, so not a deal breaker.
    You can imagine the torque I experience with a Thor 202 and 140 cm prop, Neil at aviator helped me set up the geometry (utilizing all the adjustments) so that I have weight shift authority at full throttle!!! It's amazing!!!

    I flew the atom 80 for a while, and I loved the simplicity and reliability. It’s a great option for light pilots or people with a wide-open airfield to launch from. I ended up moving to the Moster when I wanted to climb out of some shorter airfields. Hope you love this setup.

    Great video, and thank you for your service. Where did you buy the frame and motor, are they from the same place? I looked at Paradactyl's web site but it doesn't look like they do direct equipment sales. Do you think you saved any money buying the frame and motor separately?

    I was wondering why that sketchy helicopter video showed up in my suggestions and then I clicked on your page and this makes a lot more sense. I've been looking to get into paragliding. It's a nice looking setup you've got.
    One question though, how hard is/ how much time does it take to break down the cage? I've seem those full carbon ones and people have said they're a pain to set up so those are out. I'd like to be able to break it down so I could get it in the back of my truck with a topper on. I live in a state that has typically terrible weather in the winter so I'd have to travel to fly and would rather not have it subjected to the elements as I travel. Is it fairly simple to take the cage apart or is that frowned on?

    • @MitchG
      @MitchG  Год назад

      It takes 2-5 min to take the cage apart depending on how fast you work. The poles just slide in and the net unclips. No tools required. I'd recommend getting a quick release prop mount as well to get the prop off in about 20 seconds

    • @jlo7770
      @jlo7770 Год назад

      @@MitchG prop was the other concern but I figured it could be a work around while the cage would be more difficult. Thanks for the advice and the reply stay safe out there

    • @MitchG

    Do you still have the gravity? I'm 160 lbs and having a tough time deciding between the 80 and 185.

    • @MitchG
      @MitchG  10 месяцев назад

      I still have both but I only fly the 80 now. The 80 is fine if you don't live above 3000ft and if you only fly bigger size gliders. If you plan on eventually doing barrel rolls and big wingovers then get the 185. If you decide to get the 80, then don't buy a glider that puts you at the top of the weight range. The 80 is fantastic for boating around nice and slow.

    • @lobbyrobby
      @lobbyrobby 8 месяцев назад

      @@MitchGI'm just now seeing this. Thanks for the reply. My location is about 2,500 ft and I'm sure eventually I'll want more power so I've decided on the 185. I'll probably end up with a limitless paramotor too. You probably know this but it's the same damn thing as a liberty with 2 tiny changes. I also looked at the Iris. It looks like a great unit. Why do you prefer the liberty over the Iris?
