My absolute favorite is Fischl, which is why I really like Furina
Mine is Alhaitham but Furina is a VERY close second (may even become first)

1:20 The “La Singora Theme” you heard is just the Fatui Motif! The person who was on screen was “Childe” he is also part of the fatui.
Childe is the one who awoke the whale during his childhood when he was with his master Skirk.
As you saw right then, he was holding off the whale and fighting it for quite a while to buy time. So insane.

Hoyo 3 years ago would not do a cutscene like that, it's amazing how they changed. Childe with Neuvillette against the Narwhale and then the whole Fontaine underwater with everyone saving people, Furina's relief that everyone is okay with the music in the background during the whole thing? Hits you in the feels. Definitely my favourite Archon quest and some of the best cutscenes so far.
With the billions they got in these 3 years I would say it's bare minimum they could do.

i feel it took genshin 3 years to finally catch up with honkai.
the transition from 2d to 3d animation seem to be finally completed.
@@devolays We are talking about Hoyo and cutscenes, not Blizzard and game in general. Cause Blizzard have some amazing cinematics too.
But I do agree with you about fiasco of D4 and Diablo immoral shit.
8:35 One thing you might've missed out is the Pirates of the Carribbean motif as the flying ship emerges out. I find that to be rather amusing - Rizzly and his Black Pearl.
Considering fontaine is bible coded i thought that was a Noah's ark moment 😅
@@Quinton_ovo_ I mean, it's definitely Noah's ark moment, but to use PotC motif on top of it makes me giggle every time I hear it during other streamers' playthroughs 😂

It's a common rhythm in music reflecting older ships, and while PotC has among the most notable use of this particular rhythm, I'd say it's become so expansive that it no longer belongs JUST to that series of movies, instead forming its own sub-genre.
I noticed that you reacted to "Focalors: Ultimate Sacrifice" by Abyss Breakdown, but the same channel has also edited a "Furina: The Unseen Sacrifice". In case you somehow missed it, you really really must give it a go, as that video really focuses on Furina and her entire character arc, which you seem to be very fascinated by! In game, both Focalors and Furina's histories play out side-by-side, so I would really reccommend you watch that for the full picture - despite lacking a cutscene, I found it to be one of the best parts of the entire game.

The best cutscene for sure. it served as a sense of liberation for Furina at the end where the light shined above her. That was so good. "It's done! The prophecy wasn't fulfilled. I am free."
Mihoyo is possibly preparing Genshin to join the Honkaiverse
they were testing the waters at the end of Sumeru and now in Fontaine they have introduced new concepts
concepts that are similar to those of Honkai
and later on, Star rail will also have a definitive connection, besides the name and characters, worldbulding will lead the two to join the multiverse
Please, if you can, react to the part inside Furina's mind, it's incredible
3:46 Her design was indeed foreign, she might as well have walked out of Honkai Impact, the design definitely felt that way
That's not La Signora's theme, it's the Fatui Harbinger theme. Every member has it in their theme

And wait to see the amazing part on her Legendary quest in the end.
the fatui harbringer theme is such a banger it somehow creates a mood for a iconic battle also skirk is packing both in mystery and meat (every penny i own belongs to her hoyoverse make her playable)
Great video! As a lot of people already said, I would love to see you react to Furina’s inner world, that was one of my favorite parts of the game and I’ve played since 2020

I enjoy the analyses fr but Signora??? Really? She's not even a focus of this scene, let alone related to the Archon Quest (hasn't been since Inazuma 😓)

I love the seagulls in the cutscenes, it reminds me of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni (When the Seagulls Cry), one of my favorite pieces of fiction ever. They even did an reference to it during the archon quest
the thing that gets me is that Fontain is on a plateau, so for all of it to be underwater means it would have had to sink down into the ground for the real sea water to flood it,
I think that theme, is meant to be some sort of "dark victory" theme, underscoring the successes of the Fatui.
If you think about it, Skirk is like Scathach

I got a bit emotionally overwhelmed during the part of the game where Focalor is telling her plan to Neuvilette and the Traveler is witnessing the truth behind Furina's story and 500 years. The despair and loneliness was very relatable to early on in my life, when my Mom died, and I was homeless as a teenager. I felt like I had something so important welling up inside of me and there was no one there I could tell, no one there that even wanted to know. It just brought back some really, really old feelings. Somehow I survived those years, and I'm 42 now, but this story was so well written that you could feel the loneliness and despair, very deeply, especially if you've felt that kind of sadness before.
