Ark Survival Ascended Xbox Series X Gameplay, Frame rate FPS & resolution details. If you're enjoying the video be sure to leave a like! Game Description: Respawn into a new dinosaur survival experience beyond your wildest dreams… as ARK is reimagined from the ground-up into the next-generation of videogame technology with Unreal Engine 5! You awake on a mysterious island, your senses overwhelmed by the blinding sunlight and brilliant colors bouncing off every surface around you, the azure waters of a verdant Island lapping at your bare feet. A deep roar echoes from the misty jungle, jolting you into action, and you stand up - not afraid, but intrigued. Are you ready to form a tribe, tame and breed hundreds of species of dinosaurs and other primeval creatures, explore, craft, build, and fight your way to the top of the food-chain? Your new world awaits… step through the looking-glass and join it! FEATURES ARK: Survival Ascended has completely recreated and redesigned the artwork and worlds of ARK to take advantage of the latest in videogame technology, Unreal Engine 5, using high-end graphics features such as fully dynamic Global Illumination (“Lumen”), so that light bounces realistically off of surfaces and provides realistic reflections, and advanced mesh streaming (“Nanite”) of hundreds of millions of triangles for extreme detail. Advanced new physics systems such as dynamic water so that every creature creates waves, ripples, splashes, and bubbles as they move through fluids, and fully interactive physical foliage where every blade of grass, bush, and tree reacts to characters, explosions, projectiles, and physics objects. Knock down a tree, and see it crash into other trees and disturb all the foliage on its way down to smacking into the grass below!
Everyone testing this doesn’t test the actual game. Being at the start is not testing it. Go build a base and have six Dino’s and test it. It’s 3-7fps with massive stutters and freezes
@@MrBeefTot187 Yeap. I can confirm that. When I started Aberration the framerate was somewhat stable, but after some time the FPS starts to drop over time, to a point the game become nearly unplayable at 15 FPS or so. And the memory RAM goes to a strange usage of 24-26GB in the Pc version. A friend of mine also experienced this in The Center, and he play in the PS5.
I have noticed the small improvement in performance too. I have ASA on both Xbox Series X and PC. There's a small improvement on both. I havent experienced the stuttering or freezes, ive actually haven't crashed once since the update but I'm noticing an insane amount of texture pop in (it's actually visible in this video as well.) You'll get Foliage and rocks rendering in right in front of you when that actually wasn't present before. On PC, I'm actually noticing an odd issue where some textures don't render in fully, even on Epic settings. I'm guessing it has something to do with the addition of Frame Generation on UE 5.2. I think this *should* be better compatible with the UE5.4 Update. Crossing fingers. Though consoles definitely need a massive optimization update for Aberation. It's extremely muddy, still gorgeous but definitely no where near what I expected from consoles vs how the other maps look for XBSX and PS5.
@@christorres8809 I'm not gonna lie. Thanks to this update, my RTX 4060 returned to be able to maintain the Medium quality setting, with some set to High, at stable 60 FPS for a while, but after 1 hour of gameplay or so the FPS starts to drop over time, even if you let the character idle. I also notified some grotesque issues with shadows in the Aberration map, where some areas are rendering the Shadows in square-like dots. I experience this issues every time I go farm Metal in the NE Surface Entrance. It is clear as water the map is still unfinished, and I hope they fix that soon.
3 to 7 fps? What PC machine are you using? On my 12 core PC with a basic Nvidia $250 video card it was definitely not running at 7 fps more like in the 30+ fps, but not as good as a more expensive setup. On Xbox Series X I went to a server that had massive builds and Dino’s parked around and got way over 30 fps. You must be trying to play this on a cheap laptop:)
I still use the commands to reduce fog and clouds also less grass and works perfect on series x , I can have 5 raptors and a giga near my base no stutter.
I played Ark solo on my phone for a little bit and it had less lag. I have hundreds of hours into Ark on last gen consoles. I have it downloaded on my Series X but haven't played yet.
I've heard that Frame Gen isn't nearly as useful below 60fps, but I don't know much about it. I might finally check this game out on Game Pass as it is very visually appealing and who doesn't like dinosaurs? RAWR!
FSR is general kinda sucks. But ya the tech really doesn’t have much of a ground to stand on to boost from if that makes sense. It’s just a desperate push to get a few extra frames and help performance a little, which it does I guess.
The higher your base frame rate the better the input frames will look. Ideally you want a base framerate of 60+fps to have a smooth frame gen experience
Most probably won’t agree but if the resolution is that bad there is no point in getting higher fps, like I really hope the ue5.4 update brings it to 4K if not I probably won’t play ark
@@percy3711 it’s not necessarily the consoles fault. it’s the optimization that wild card did for consoles. high end pcs are barely able to run this game smoothly because of how badly the optimization is

@@Skycaptin5 The S console port shouldn’t exist in my opinion It’s an abomination ! :) I had to stop playing it on S and get a series X a few months later and I’m glad I did! Sure X may not look like the PC counterpart but compared to how’s now it looks in S im more than satisfied how it now looks on X. Even Midrange PC’s can’t run it unless you have a $1200+ video card and a decent machine. So even S running it is a miracle, but the resolution was too unbearable for me.
It runs pretty good on my rtx 4080 super i9 14900k build in 4k max settings. I get 45-55 fps in 4k max settings with no upscaling and that's more than good enough for me. In 4k high settings I get 75-85 fps depending on the area.
This game is embarrassing. I was a fan of the original version but this is just poorly optimized dogshit. 60 is the new standard. Not 40fps. Leave it to Studio Wildcard to always fail and under-deliver.
I relunched the game. Its too ugly. What they did? Downgrade. At the lunch the game was very good looking i remember on my serie x. I relunched to test extinction the game is not the game wich i knew at the lunch. Too ugly like a xbox one game or ps3. Whats the matter? They think they are on the right way? Before the downgrade i played a lot it was good looking and no problem i raided several guys. The game is dead for me.
This game sucks do no Install it’s not worth it the game runs fine I guess on Xbox but the graphics are actually probably worse than evolved not to mention EVERYTHING has a blur to it

How can you claim you’re getting around 40fps on average.
When the counter never once hit 40. And spent nearly the entire time around 32-34.
@@liam4058 he did hit 44 a few times just a handful of time his average was 33 to 39 an on scorched earth he had well into the 40s

Play it on a server with big bases and fly over them..thats a better test.
Did you try to use the command settings?
Can you increase tether distance if playing with friends yet on console? The slider didn’t work last time I tried
My question is, why can’t they turn the graphics down for a bit, and give us a smooth 60
The graphics are already sort of really low. That aside, Ark always runs badly.

Does anyone know if the game runs better with VRR?
Hi friend, the game crashes for me, like the audio gets stuck, like I can't move much on Xbox Series X, has this happened to you too?
nope

What is frame rate eh?
I put vrr on adaptative and i got a smoth 55-60 fps (im on series s)

Because a smoother frame rate makes for a better experience? It's not a lot to desire to have a basic frame rate target to be hit.
