I just became aware of what caused my heart to close, i was about 5 when Saddam's war planes bombed my neighborhood and the BLAST, shockwaves and lightning up of everything and i got slammed against the wall, the uncertainty of weather we were gonna live or die and the massive fear among other traumatic childhood experiences in school getting beaten by the teachers ruined the past 35 years of my life!!! .. but I'm finally aware... thank you Christina, you're a beautiful person

Thank you for these practices. I have a lot of work to do as think I was born with a semi-closed heart because I am famously super-detached among my friends and family. It definitely got worse after the huge disappointment of being in a physically abusive relationship in my early 20's. I am aware but it's so hard to open up.
I've come to know that I have a fear of feeling happiness, like when I get a feeling of joy, my gut screams, "no!", that feeling happiness will bring on yet another disaster and makes me squash the good feeling down. Thank you so much for your amazing video! while you were talking I was crying like a baby you were able to describe exactly what I am feeling :( I was sexually abused from a member of the family when I was a child and is impressive how our brain protects us, I wasn't even aware of it till I fell in love and I couldn't open my heart to him or even let him come close to me simply because I was scared to be hurt, I was protecting my self ! I am wondering how long does it take this process of healing!
This really is hard. I have my heart closed since I was 11 years old I think. I tought myself how to pretend having emotions around people but I always felt empty. I have a lover now and even tho I know I love him so much, I can't feel it. I've never had butterflies in my stomach. And even if someone dies to me now, I'm not sure if I would cry. I think I feel like opening my heart to people feels like an invasion of my personal space. It just feels wrong to open my heart to people. I guess it is because I’m trying to protect myself....It just feels like they would be invading my space, it just feels weird and wrong to me....I don’t want to open it...But what lead me here? I.have had a closed.heart to higher.spirit since then. I have been doing the work with support.groups for survivors, yoga and a variety.of therapies. It is the one area that stays stuck.for.me. I have been having spiritual awakenings for a.really long time but cant get past the broken "spirit sucks" part. Any thoughts?

Because a drepressive or introverted person have closed hearts
Introverted people do not have gray lives. Introversion just means they need me time to recharge. Introverts can have pretty happy lives.
