    Archie Brownlee, the lead singer, had a voice that could move people to utter tears. In fact, the great and immortal Sam Cooke, is said to have expressed that Archie was the only singer who could move him to tears. It is sad that this style of singing has been forgotten in favor of a more “pop friendly” sound both in gospel and popular music. They just don’t make em like this anymore.

    That Old School Reverb combined with the MS Blind Boys vocals only make this song sound that much more ethereal and angelic. #respect

    Hey Andre, how you figure Archie Brownlee is a house wrecker, In what way?

    • @IsaacNussbaum
      @IsaacNussbaum 6 лет назад +3

      I can't say for sure, Winfred, but I took Andre's post to mean that Brother Brownlee's singing could bring the "shout" down in the church house.

    • @s.k.sandles7005
      @s.k.sandles7005 4 года назад +1

      Winfred Jackson it means basically, he could tear up a church house with a song! Anytime he was to sing, it was said that they had to pack folks off from fainting.

    • @larrycancooke2
      @larrycancooke2 4 года назад

      In other words.. he'd wreck the house...the church.. listen to Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers singing Nearer My God To Thee... the live version..the Great Shrine Concert...he wreck the house...you can here it..
