Wow this is top notch!! You know I've seen you around and I've subscribed to you, but I never really took a hard long listen to your songs. I'm really seeing the charm of these remixes! Amazing stuff! Thank you for this!!
It's a shame that practically everything MM5 is overshadowed by everything MM2-3, because the game has the best music in the series hands-down, no contest. It FEELS epic.
Megaman 5 and 2 are shit In Level Design. But 3 and 4 are some of the best NES games. I think MM5 has a decent soundtrack but you are completely right about this song.
@@randomguyontheinternet7940 MM3 also was shit at level design -- even though it is miles better than MM2. MM4 is the most consistent game in the series, however.
The music in 5 is mostly forgettable, save for this and a couple of other tracks, IMO. Level design wise, I like fairly challenging and fun level design, and the first four games offer a ton of that. 5 got way too difficult in a few areas and the easy bosses contradict that, and 6 got way too easy. Overall though, I legit love all these games, even ones I consider just okay like 5, it still has some things I can enjoy in it.
@@shaitet Really? In the hexology of NES Mega Man games. I always thought 5 is the easiest next to 6. Though admittedly there are few moments in 5 where it can be really challenging, but other than that, it's a really easy Mega Man game thanks to the overpowered charged Mega Buster. Personally, I feel 2 is the most broken of all the classic Mega Man games since it has unforgivingly hard moments(Looking at you Wily stage 4 and boss rush), which quite ruins the game at times. I mean I beat 2 numerous times, but I feel other classic Mega Man games(Not counting Mega Man and Bass since I haven't played that one) are better balanced in my opinion.
The only track in the entire Classic Mega Man series to be composed by Yoko Shimomura and it is the best Goddamn Wily Fortress theme in the series in my opinion. And you, sir, have somehow made it better. Kudos to you!
Star Man: Make a wish, Mega Twerp! Cause I'm gonna finish you off this time! Gravity Man: By Newton's Law, I'll see to it that you'll never face Dr. Wily! Gyro Man: Your flashy tricks won't phase this time! My Gyro Blades are gonna tear you apart! Crystal Man: I won't let you humiliate me again. My Crystal Eye is going to take you down a few pegs. Napalm Man: I REMEMBER THE LAST TIME WE FOUGHT... I'M GONNA KILL YOU FOR THIS!! Stone Man: YOU'RE NOT SO TOUGH! MY POWER STONE'S GONNA CRUSH YOUR STUPID CIRCUITS!! Charge Man: Think you can derail me twice?! I don't think so! DIE, PUNK!! Wave Man: The Captain always goes down with the ship, BUT I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME!! Dr. Wily: DAMN YOU AND YOUR BROTHER, MEGA MAN!! YOU'VE FOILED MY PLANS FOR LONG ENOUGH!! I'M GOING TO DESTROY YOU AND YOUR CREATOR!!
After listening to this remix on loop so many times that I know it off by heart, it was REALLY weird hearing the MM5 Wily's Fortress theme in the new Monster Hunter: World event that gives turns your palico into Mega Man. Weird but so damn cool lol...

This is easily one of the greatest Dr Wily themes in the series. I personally think 5 is the weakest link in the series, but god damn did this theme and Dark Man's fortress make me really wonder if it was or not.
Mega Man 5 might be my least favorite MM game and not have any really memorable track (for me), except for this gem, which is probably my favorite Wily theme.
Megaman 6 goes lower IMO Megaman 5 had some difficult, at least. MM6 was a cake and felt kinda rushed in a lot of ways... and even like that, it's not a bad game lol. But yeah, Wily Stages theme is awesome
See, I'd claim 6 was lower, but 6 at least tried too innovate by adding the Rush adapters (which were perfected in 7, at least in my opinion). It wasn't much of a change, but it was something new. 5 didn't add much to make it different from 4 or the others; too me making it the most generic. It had the best plot of the NES games though, so it has that going for it lol That's just my opinion though. To each his own :D
I think MM5 was going to be the best game ever... if they doubled the E-Tanks available in stages. You pretty much can't do your first boss with E-Tanks, and all viable options have ZERO of them. Which really sucks, because the game would be perfect otherwise. The soundtrack and the story were THE best of the classic series TO THIS DAY. But due to all that, the game not only lost the first place to Six, but fell down to second-to-worst of the series, right behind the original. Shame.
Y-you... y-you're kidding, right? First of all MM5 is by far the easiest MM of them all if you combine the fact you can get 9 E-TANKS AND AN M-TANK with the fact that the levels and bosses are some of the least-difficult in design in the series, and the fact the basic Mega Buster is by far the biggest and most powerful of any classic MM. And if you can't defeat Star Man, Gravity Man or Stone Man without an E-tank with the mega buster you need more practice. Besides, it's a proven scientific fact that 2 and 3 are the best NES Mega Man games.
hip indeed Okay, i'm way ahead in the game now, and i have to say one thing. The new mega buster pwns everything? Probably, but the bosses only take double damage from a finally charged shot. Anyways, the game is a newbie repellent. You can't go to Crystal Man's 2 E-tanks and 1 M-tank without beating Star Man, it's borderline impossible otherwise. And also, no good start is shown. Stone Man? Maybe. But gravity man would need quite a few retries. The walkthrough said me to start at Wave Man, and i ragequit after one insane run. Also, i wasn't lying about the five-in-a-row without E-tanks. Both Wave Man, Star Man, Gravity Man, Gyro Man and Charge Man don't have E-tanks at all, giving you only the mild option of doing Stone Man. I don't get told to do so, but now i think Stone Man would be WAY better than Wave Man, but now it's too late. I still think the game is very hard, and i got various game-overs at Protoman Stage 1, and, once again, i ragequit. Also, it's very boring to farm E-tanks in this game because it takes WAY too long for Eddie to give you an E-tank, and it's pretty much the main E-tank farming trick out of all of them. Please, EXCUSE ME if i say something you don't like, but i took that post as an insult, okay? >:(
lennonluiz0907 BroTip: Start off with Star Man. Always Star Man. If Star Man is too much, a fine second is Stone Man; who's tough, but ultimately predictable - and the power stone isn't nearly as hard to dodge as you first think it would be, once you find the sweet spot.
lennonluiz0907 Three words for you, friend: Eddie's Ladder Trick. When Eddie shows up and there's a ladder leading back to the last screen, just go back down the ladder and back up again, and if you didn't pick the item up, he'll give you a new one. Just do this a bunch of times until he gives you an E-Tank. You won't lose 'em when you die, either.
Mega Man 5 felt well fleshed out imo, outside of a couple bad abilities and an unmemorable set of castle levels. I'd say maybe Mega Man 3 was better. As for worst: Mega Man 4 is trash, none of the other titles even come close. The level design is terrible, the bosses are poorly balanced, and the entire soundtrack is washy and obnoxious.
MM5 wasn't that rushed out IMO. If any Mega Man game was rushed, it was certainly MM6. That one had absolutely no plot at all and the music and the bosses were horrid. Even MM4 was better.
mega man 3 was the most rushed mega man game. it had no intro, weapons that are almost useless, plenty of bad design, and the final boss totally sucked. of course, it was still an improvement over mega man 2. im pretty sure some developer said it was rushed because of mega man 2's success, but i don't remember who... also, mega man 6, rushed...??? bad music and bosses??? sure, they were very different from the normal classic mega man stuff, but... mega man 6 had the best theming out of any mega man game. every stage based on a different country, and it really feels like it. all the robots were designed by people from around the world, and it actually looks like it. also, how can you say mega man 6 had no story?? there was a robot tournament with robots from around the world, and wily stole them. that's about the same amount of story that mega man 1, 2 or 5 had
The only rushed MM games was actually just 3, II for GB, and 7. Even then, 7 is one of the better MM games despite its 3 month game development, while 3 is still a quite good game.
Wow this is top notch!! You know I've seen you around and I've subscribed to you, but I never really took a hard long listen to your songs. I'm really seeing the charm of these remixes! Amazing stuff! Thank you for this!!

This and Mega Man 4's Wily Fortress 2 are my favorites of the entire series!
I hear a bit of Sonic 3D Blast.
Well it is a genesis remix after all
This is the best remix of this track that I have heard so far.
I'm always amazed when someone is able to take 8-bit music and make it sound like something I'd actually want to listen to.
this is the reason we were given ears people!
If I had a dollar for every classic remix from this guy that aged like fine wine, I'd already have a PS5!
**Sonic 3D Blast instruments intensifies**
I get panic puppet zone act 2 vibes from this
Hory shity you're right it does!! that intro similarity is uncanny. Maybe I should do a remix using Sonic 3D Blast instruments for the lolz
This track needs to be Super Smash Bros Ultimate. At least they included my other favorite which is Metal Man's stage theme.
Wily Stage from MM5 was one of my favorite of the original castle themes, and I really think it's a shame it's overshadowed by the MM2 castle theme.
This is amazing.
This was already one of the Megaman Tracks you did not need to make it any better. But you did, you fucking genius.
I hear a lot of the game Mercs in this song. Main hook sounds straight out of any of the levels in Original Mode of that game
Gill's Fortress Gundalian Castle Stage Matoro's Legacy saga and Act 1 haos contestir Vol 1. Chapter 10th The World stage: *"Mars Lighthouse Fortress."*
Almost sounds like you could keep the non-melody parts and have it as its own track. Pretty cool right there.

mega man 5 is number two in the mega man game music ranking, right behind mega man 2.
Could have fit very well if there was a Second "Willy War" game
This is awe-inspiring!
haha I look forward to it my friend
One of my favorites, too bad the download links are gone, I can't stop listening.

Charge Man: Think you can derail me twice?! I don't think so! DIE, PUNK!!
Wave Man: The Captain always goes down with the ship, BUT I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME!!

a remix like that would be perfect for the upcoming crossover comic of Sonic and Megaman xD
Hey Sonic 3D Blast, go back to your game

It's short like 11 is, but at least the OST rocks.
@@caucasoidape8838 11 has a far more satisfying ending than 5, though.
Music and levels were fine imo, and I enjoyed the rush gimmicks. The bosses MM6 were just too easy, whereas in MM4 they were literally broken.
Mega man's face at the beginning is so fitting
I love this remix :) Thanks!
