From Classroom to Careers: The Florida Aquarium Opens At BizTown

Establishing meaningful connections within our young community, The Florida Aquarium has opened a storefront in BizTown! This Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay initiative caters to local 5th graders, aiming to bridge the gap between classroom education and real-world experiences. Here, students not only gain valuable confidence but also practical knowledge about diverse career opportunities in Tampa Bay.
Debbi Stone, Sr. VP of Engagement and Learning, engaged with students from Deer Park Elementary, discussing the workforce’s impact on our community. Notable staff members, including Pete Colangelo, Director of Exhibits & Graphic Design, Wade Harris, Director of Engineering, and Dale Wolbrink, Director of Public Relations and Integrated Marketing, attended to personally connect with students in their respective roles.
