Many of their T-50's and 60's that's been sitting have their hatches left open for years and the tank canon were not plugged allowing decades of rain, snow and 30 degrees below temperatures to take their toll. Good chance these 1950 and 1960 cooms are as they were vacuum tube--pretty much unmaintained rust buckets. Russia is currently buying back all of its previously sold SU aircraft currently have spent $400 million to happy sellers who cannot get parts to maintain their Russian purchased aircraft. Ditto for helicopter parts but here no many sellers needing the parts themselves to keep their own KU copters flying.

Both obsessed with a few working tactics but ultimately obsessed with taking ground no matter what, if the soldiers act up decimate them. A strategy that can work fighting undeveloped nations but when it comes to fighting a country like Ukraine thats more or less one of the programming capitals of the world its not going to work. Theyll figure out what youre doing, make it seem like youre getting what you want, then fuck you up every single time. Here’s the kicker though. That only works if they can remain within a position of power and unity . What’s happening now though is Russian soldiers are turning on each other and Putin slowly losing control within his own party. Pair that with low moral overall and most if not all his so called power washes away.

Idk the Russian strategy doesn't seem very difficult to me. I mean it can't be as they've already demonstrated they are unable to modern combined arms tactics so they do what they always do. Slow creeping human waves along a long front slowly wearing your opponent out. It works great as long as you can out produce your opponents, you don't care about your own casualties, and both sides have a similar technological parity.

The ramped up production is mostly refurbs. Also, many components are no longer manufactured for this obsolete equipment as well as much of the specific manufacturing equipment also no longer available.
    As to man power.
Every person conscript is one less laborer. They already have about a 6 million shortage of laborers of which 500k is skilled labor.
