One great example that relates to generalists is Crazy Mohan - He once said " As a child , try to develop as many hobbies as possible and at least one hobby will become your job"
I seriously can't thank you enough for making this video....made me somewhat calm that it's okay to try different things... and it will all be okay, love your channel ❤️
The fact that you always interpret , compare , combine many important points/facts and create a unique content is amazing. I never thought Range could be analysed with RRR , You are doing good RM 💥
I am a generalist and at 43 am still trying different things. It does give me both - thrill and anxiety! There are times I wish I was a specialist and life would have been easier. I am also grateful to be able to experience so many different fields. People tell me I am lucky…I guess I am!☺️Thank you Raunaq for this video. Will check out Range.
I'm a generalist from my 2nd grade I started to explore a range of sports and I'm an average student who doesn't go behind numerals started my art interest by being a school dancer then after 6th grade, I just explored my new talent of writing and composing songs which I and friend used to do then in 9th grade I wanna take another avatar of being a lifestyle vlogging RUclipsr then at some point I was in a situation to choose my carrier in which I strongly stood by the side “Cinema” Professionally I wanted to be an Animator visual effects artist who makes giant Hollywood movies and gradually I discovered an aspiring writer within me and started to write screenplays so feature films and short films. One thing I strongly believe is there's no such rule or something to attain the thing which you want to nothing stops you to reach your destination but only your mindset I know I'm still on the journey hasn't even completed my schooling
Same Bhaiyya I've always felt like I'm not excellent in one specific thing. I do try to participate in whatever I can but I'm average only and I have a huge social anxiety and I'm an introvert so I'm not good at making friends too. Sometimes I feel like I'm not capable of doing anything . Thank you for this video , I now have a different perspective about this.
Thank you very much Raunak, your channel is like a one-stop solution for all my problems, firstly the video on introvertness and now this one on generalist approach loved it ! ❤️❤️
A brilliant video. As a generalist, I wish I saw this video during my college days. It would have saved me so much time that I wasted overthinking on why I don't have one single passion. Eventhough, the tough path towards understanding myself was worth it. Still, only if I saw this video 4 years back....things would have been so much better
Thanks a lot for making this Raunaq. 🙌🏾 It changes the perception of what I'm now. This gives me so much positivity & thanks for inspiring 🥺 this video is on par to some Motivational TED Talks ❤️ You're a Rockstar 🤩
It's just few days before,i started to watch your videos... Each and every videos are good.i really liked your way of presenting..keep doing more and more.. ✨️✨️
Man.....I can relate to it so much your video made my day.....Actually I'm petty stressed out by my job in IT Industry and I wanted to do something creative but don't know what to do or where to start ...but your video is like a light after a tunnel showing some way of hope....thanks raunaq for this one
Much needed video,. Being a general physician i always thought of myself as a failure because I am not a specialist,. Never realised it’s actually another way of living for ppl who get bored of monotony, Reading the book for sure👍🏽
Thanks, Raunaq. It was like being at the right place and time. Today I have been worried about this. In school, I studied Biology. In college mechanical engineering and joined NCC to try armed forces and government exams. Then I got into photography and video creation, and now I'm into coding. I was like WTF is wrong with me. But your video gave me a perspective shift. Now I feel great for having these experiences.
Sounds like a good explanation 👌😁 need to try, but in those multiple things tooo we need to fix one thing as a specialist to excel in it that's how it works. Even choosing a relevant field itself a difficult thing nowadays in career perspective, "having multiple things to choose for" sounds like both a blessing or curse But your insights are helpful thanks for that ✌️❤️
I have been dabbling in mediocrity till a few months back when I decided to step out of my comfort zone. Bro can I ask you one thing honestly? How you got this good in speaking english so fluently? I envy at people who could express their thoughts and views in english with such ease. Expecting an honest answer.
why is this cluelessly inspiring and motivating me? maybe bcoz i am a generalist like you who likes cinema and hate sports and am not exceptional (after raunaq's correction) at anything, i sent this video to my dad to make him understand that so called 'generalists' are not 'onnum urupadiya pannadha erumamaadu'
now this video motivates me and i feel proud of myself ,I do coding video editing ,graphics design and play sport and i feel like i will definitely make it
Added Range to Kindle wishlist recently looking at Goodreads. Now, you come up with this! :) I'm a Generalist mostly! But when i take up a task i become a Specialist! Now, who am I? :(
"a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than master of one" this is the complete original saying tampered by the world that was striving towards specialisation.
This is a great video. The thing with generalists is that they are late boomers and thus their dabbling in different fields is thought of as being directionless
I always worried that I'm not good at anything in particular like I'm good at academics but not perfect...I love sports but I'm an average player..loves dance but avg in that too like I'm just avg in most of the things but I love doing more things so ig I'm a generalist :))
Wat would u say to a person who happens to be a generalist is forced to be a specialist… can I be a specialist even when I’m not one… can I force it and be successful coz being a specialist can only help me achieve wat I want
This solves so much confusion that I had in my head for past few months 😅 turns out I’m a generalist after all & that’s not a bad thing I guess!?🤞🏼 Btw, now I respect Bheem more!
Now have bit of Idea for everything in life happening in my life I have degree in B. Com, Have Karate Blackbelt, Learned swimming, Have diploma in Journalism and Photo Journalism, Worked in Accounting firn and NOW Digital Marketing Intern so I havent wasted my life
@@RaunaqMangottill success and failure is just a mind game (a cause to live) if you are satisfied with just by being. Then we can see everything as just as a happening nothing more nothing less.

Definitely not :)

Happiness is the ultimate aim right? Every other term like specialist or generalist comes later✌️
Thanks for your reply 😍
