    Was für eine Musik!!!!!! Die hat mir auf langen einsamen Autofahrten in der Nacht mehrmals das Leben gerettet. Wer kann dabei einschlafen?

      Lustig wenn man bedenkt dass Lars von Trier sie in "Melancolia" mit Depression und Selbstmorgedanken gleichsetzt. So falsch lag er damit ja auch nicht. Es geht ja um Selbstauflösung.

    I've watched hundreds, maybe even a thousand or more orchestra videos here on You Tube and I have never seen a cameraman as fixated on a harpist's hands as much as this one. Over a hundred dedicated musicians in this orchestra and about 30% of the video is closeups of the harpist.

    Soy un simple aficionado, pero siento que el momento sublime de Liebestod es uno de los puntos más altos que ha alcanzado la música de todos los tiempos.

    The venue adds dimension to the music. Sublime stuff this. Performance is on point and the natural sound is made even sweeter and more ethereal performed in this room. The culture of Old Europe is a gift that keeps on giving!

      In my personal opinion, one may drop the adjective 'old' when referring to _that_ Europe - what we have today is nothing but a colony of other races and economies, therefore not Europe at all.

    • @slimjim1042
      @slimjim1042 4 года назад

      @Jerf Hankell The Catholic Church and its affiliated monastic houses preserved Roman and Classical wisdom for a Europe overrun by warlords. For that you and I should be ever grateful - not to the Christian ideology - but to the men who preserved the Latin.
      What you call "Islam" is really us importing millions of third world slaves because our birth rates aren't nearly high enough to keep up with the economic demands of the immense technological hubris we're scraping the sky with.
      Or otherwise put they're the ones who wash our toilets while we slog past midnight on our latest click attracting net solutions. It's the logical endpoint of capitalism - the gods of our age are much more sinister.

      Art in itself is far from a reward if there is no benevolence to share it or no peace of mind to appreciate it. The soul comes before the senses - Jesus didnt say it - the Gita says it too.

    Listen to this every day and you will never need therapy or anti depressants. Just a box of tissues it is so moving! Kudos to the cameramen for knowing exactly when to cue the featured artists -- especially the harpist, the cute little flautist and of course Maestro Estrada -- his prayerful ending as his orchestra breathes its final notes is absolutely sublime. Thank you to the entire orchestra, Mr. Wagner, and whoever posted this. Pax Vobiscum...

      Danke, mein herr. At least, I think that's the right thing to say, hopefully in German. I love this pair like you do. In fact, if I ever her the Vorspiel by itself, I'll wait for the Liebestod, and wait, and wait, ....... They make a truly beautiful pairing.

      In recent months, since I first heard the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, I grown more and more impressed with their consistency in performance. I'd love to move to Frankfurt and buy season tickets to their concerts. Alas, they probably wouldn't understand me: I speak 2 languages, English and Brooklyn. Even here, in the States, I have trouble wid dat.

    Nein! Nein! Nein! Schon der Beginn des Vorspiels ist viel zu laut. Es soll schmachtend klingen, nicht erdrosselnd! Das entstellt leider das ganze Werk, ich bin unzufrieden.

    • @erictrumpler9652
      @erictrumpler9652 5 лет назад +2

      Wenn es zu leise ist, hat es keine Intensität, dann fehlt grade das schmachtende.....die dynamische Bezeichnung im Cello ist auch p mit Crescendo, nicht pianissimo....außerdem spielt die Aufnahmeleitung hier auch eine Rolle, und das Kloster Eberbach ist ein sehr hellhöriger Raum.
