Both the Reichsrundfunkgesellschaft (RRG) and the FM broadcasts in the 1990s used compression of dynamics. To get a somewhat realistic experience of the climaxes listen with high volume. More tips for listening below the video.
YT removed this video from my public channel for legal claims against it. These claims are not justified and I am very angree about this behaviour. This is not the first time that YT helps dubious advocats to prohibit videos. Unfortunately I have no time and power at the moment for complainnig. But the video is still on my channnel (in backround) and I hope later this year I will be able to convince YT to put it public again.
Edmund Brekke In both cases there is no electronic stereo added. Good mono recording and reproduction will produce a surprisingly good impression of the concert hall. This can give the feeling of artificial stereo.
Edmund Brekke Using headphones I noticed the problems you have described. I checked the analogue tape and found the same situation. The tape was probably recorded from a FM stereo tuner. I guess there was a short (about 20 seconds) interference with reception that caused the flutter (maybe an airplane). My advice to you: listen with loudspeakers! Then there are no problems and the recording which is from the concert hall comes much better in every way. Headphones may be a choice for studio recordings, they are inferior when listening historical live recordings. Thank you for your interest.

People cough the same now as they did in 1942, especially while attending concerts.
who's the artist of this painting?
The painter was John William Waterhouse.
The artificial stereo is not as successful here as on the "most lively Eroica".

Living Past But i swear that in the beginning i hear the sound "fluttering" between my headphones. Perhaps this is due to RUclips's encoding?
