The husband is the only sane person and everyone made this situation toxic by omission because you can never upset an elderly or talk back with your brain
Knowing my weird af family, families can do borderline cult things in the sense that there's usually a central leader and they have their own at odds with the rest of the world thinking and go hard with manipulation and control then exert that or excommunicate if you don't follow along.
S1 OP is going to end up divorced if she continues to let her family interfere so much with her marriage and children. AND THE CHILDREN AREN’T EVEN BORN YET.
Yeah the moment I heard her talk about how that this was nothing new and she would get screamed at for the smallest things I was like "Nope. I'm out. Fuck this family. You're TA OP if you continue to be a doormat to these psychos"
If my creepy grandmother tried rubbing my stomach and said anything weird I would have growled or smacked her hand away and giggled "Oops! Pregnancy hormones!"
I identify with OP not wanting grandma to be constantly touching her belly. By the time I first shaved my head at 22, people were telling me I didn’t look that different. And I effing hate when people touch the top of my head. It bugs the crap out of me. And also, random women I didn’t know were constantly trying to pat me on the head, or check how smooth it is, etc. They don’t ask. The one time someone did ask, she looked upset when I declined. “I just love men with bald heads.” “Yeah? I just LOVE boobs, but you don’t see me approaching women and asking if they wouldn’t mind terribly if I copped a feel, do you?”
I genuinely wish nothing but the best life for OP,...OP deserves better and far better than what is currently their situation is. I genuinely pray for better days and more brighter and successful day to shower in near future,.
OP 2 is due some good luck damn, I really hope he meets some nice people who actually value him and gets away from all those negative presences in his life
There are some people old and young who have these issues like the Grandma. Some people are just delusional and can only see things a certain way no matter how wrong it is or how many times you tell them otherwise A family friend still refers to me and my sister as a singers cause she was our music teacher 15 years ago, despite neither of us singing anymore into our 30s now. A friend does this who’s the same age as me who just has it in his mind that things are and we’re a certain way, despite 10 years of that easily being proven false. Some people are just delusional
Story 2: Oh Crap. That wasn't a rant. That wasn't OP just venting. OP is in a very dangerous mindset. OP will do something. I'm thinking OP will do something that will affect the highest "body count". Think along the lines of a family annihilator. OP has made his/her declaration (the post). Action is the only thing left for OP.
Op completely disregards that great grandma's language/behavior is hurting her husband. She may not mind, but her husband clearly had a problem with it
the fact that she’s pregnant with twins and people are putting this stress on her is ridiculous. this sht isn’t good for the mother or the babies if they all really care that much
S1 - I don’t get a narcissist vibe from this. It feels more like the beginnings of dementia. The first memories to be lost are the most recent. So there’s a period where she ONLY remembers the stuff from 20yrs ago The last thanksgivings we had with my grandmother, she was much more talkative than usual. She was following the conversation and would make relevant answers. But whenever she shared a story, it was always from her late teens to mid-20s. And she was sharing stuff her son, my uncle, hadn’t heard before.
That grandmother seems to be fairly delusional it could be something mental but yeah I an understand it can be hard but there are a lot boundaries being crossed it does sound like grief that she never really dealt with I’m glad her husband put his foot down
Story one, the granny is probably just scared shes gonna get left behind coz shes not as important being the great grandparent so shes enforcing her position bc she loved being around for her grand daughtwr...they couldve just spoken to her instead of letting it get to this point, op needs to grow a fxcking backbone, absolute push over
Seems like a 15 yo who came from a abusive family then came out as ga y is having a mental break. He hates his friend because he has too many boundaries and is not easy to hang out with and hates his family because mom and brother treat Lil sis better because she's straight and the little princess. Nobody really cares about him so he's just venting also he hates his old best friend because he liked him but he didn't swing that way it seemed
Respecting your elders is important. But they first and foremost have to show the respect you deserve back. The husband did his thing, and everyone was against him. He said that the boys were his, and also didnt know that she paid so I dont understand
For the first story, how did OP’s husband become the jerk? Grandma needed to be checked, regardless of her age, as she is very manipulative. Shame on OP…
Story 1: grandpa probably kept grandma in check. Now he is gone and there is no one to stop her. LET'S STOP GOING TO REDDIT WITH STORY'S OF BAD PEOPLE AND TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A PERSON ABOUT BREAKING BOUNDARIES, ONLY TO THEN DEFEND THAT PERSON.

I'm probably gonna catch a lot of crap for saying this but it needs to be said: you are not obligated to respect someone who doesn't respect you.
What an outrageous opinion!
How dare you! Who do you think you are?!
How dare you be absolutely right about respect, I am appauled!

I shaved my head. People asked if I was going for shnead o connor. Or if I was going crazy during quarantine.
One person even said I looked like a boy
OP’s husband is the only one with an ounce of sense. I mean, good lord.
Second story: why got a lot of pain in his family if his family sees this well he is right about them y’all. Who else agree with me(and OP)
I genuinely wish nothing but the best life for OP,...OP deserves better and far better than what is currently their situation is. I genuinely pray for better days and more brighter and successful day to shower in near future,.

Hope I don't see this post in true crime shows
This sounds like a manifesto
@@goodnightmyprince6734 Or the News.
I hope OP doesn’t kill themselves because it sounds like he’s really he might start considering.
@@edwannasmoot197 OP is already considering something.
second story had me GAGGED
Op completely disregards that great grandma's language/behavior is hurting her husband. She may not mind, but her husband clearly had a problem with it
I cannot imagine being sa'd by my own grandparent. What an awful person.
OMG I hope the husband in story one has a happy divorce because this women's family is just not worth the trouble.
the fact that she’s pregnant with twins and people are putting this stress on her is ridiculous. this sht isn’t good for the mother or the babies if they all really care that much
They really don’t care as much as they think they do. Or at all
Meg Griffin family guy drama in the second story
That's exactly what this second story reminded me of 😂

15:21 the husband should divorce her. He and those kids deserves much better.
S2 HOLY SHIT, because what kind of 15-year-old has to go through this?
Seems like a 15 yo who came from a abusive family then came out as ga y is having a mental break. The second story is wild.
Part of it could be Grandma has dementia for story one.
The wife is gone be divorced if she keeps it up
Oh thank gawd. I thought op was gonna say gram gram wrapped op in a blanket and rolled her across the bed.
God that lady in the first story was annoying af
S2 cant tell whether this is a horror movie or OP2 actually gets treated pretty well and needs to calm the fuck down
Wtf was the context of Story 2?
What pushed him over the edge?
I guess everything
This is normal banter for old people. It means nothing. She is just saying she loves the kids. GMA doesn’t literally mean what she’s saying.
Yeah, no. This isn’t normal in the slightest.
