Jesus The 1212AD and LOTR videos are so freakin fun to watch . It's like a TV series but what makes it 100 times better is that fantastic personality of yours . It's truly been a blessing watching you for the last 8 years ! You have got me through some very dark times Apollo ! Thank you so much for such AMAZING content , and i pray you don't stop anytime soon!
I love the videos of historical battles or sieges that you publish on your channel and especially if they are from this Attila MOD; I hope you continue to receive more replays in the near future. On the other hand, this siege took place during the Cognac League War, which is part of the well-known Italian Wars and came just 3 years after other battle that you already published in another video on the channel almost 1 year ago (The Battle of Pavia in 1525), being the most important conflict of the Early Modern Age (remember that the Middle Ages ends approximately between 1453 and 1492) and was the one that placed the Monarchy of Spain as the hegemonic power of all of Europe for more than 150 years; At that time the kings were from the Habsburg Dynasty, so that explains why the Holy Roman Empire was Spain's ally in these wars, since they had the same Emperor (who was Charles V). Although in 1528 the soldiers did not look like they do in this game (the late units of this MOD represent the armies of the 15th century at most), it can be said that it is pretty close and looks just as great to represent the battles of the first middle of the 16th century in Europe.
9:40 the hat is called Chaperon. In Medieval sources it was weared by Princes and rich burghers. So it was a symbol of some kind of "high class" but not only nobelness.
I can't wait to see that 1million subs. Took some time but i mean gaming channels are different and baronvongames showed it's possible to achieve that milestone and i'm sure you will be aswell!
the hat is called a chaperon. it was used for multiple things like for a hood or what not. its not a high noble hat just what was in "fashion" if their was a sens of it.
Who dares to oppose the Empire?! It was more centralised than France (for a few centuries), The Pope appointed the Emperor {(of the west)(until 1356)} and the Emperor the Pope (for a few centuries) and when Barbarossa said that the empire is holy, than it is! ... great video👌
Show some Old World Overhaul for Shogun 2, it has base Shogun 2 factions spread over Europe, North Africa, Middle East and India in one map. There is space for the Americas and China in it too
Hey pixie on rome 2 you have also a good medieval mod. It’s name is 1100 and 1177 AD. I hope you wanna play a campaign whit this mod. It’s a really good mod.
Apollo u are amazing and don't be sad, french is hard to learn but you have good prononciation continue in this path is great and in fact nice video !!!
I wish they'd update the mod I want to play the campaign that's still locked but I'm really enjoying playing Flanders since I beat my empire of Nicea campaign
It would be amazing if the mod took consideration of the location. Naples is in italy so the post roman empire look I guess was better than this north european look. But anyways, yes. the mod looks amazing, AND the mountain near the city look a bit like Vesuvius volcano that's near Naples.
i love the shade he trows to CA xD all too right tho sadly. i do hope they once come to their senses and make another good historical game. it never hurts going back to your roots same thing for company's who as it now seems are not having a good time
@@TheAurelianProject I made a mistake by saying only the HRE, should've said around the HRE and England ,because this submod is based on Germanic medieval arhitecture. Especially for this battle in the south of italy, the vanilla settlement would've been better as it will actually be closer to real life
For future 1212 uploads can you change back to the setting where it shows the time period, condition and morale of the troop unit when your cursor is on the unit?
Actually Apolo, crossbows have been around for a long time. According to CA, it was used in great numbers durring the chinesse war of the three kingdoms. It was a fully automated machine gun like weapon.;-)
The actual Chukonu did exist in the Three Kingdoms period, and fired 10 bolts in 15 seconds. Their effectiveness, as any weapon, is a bit exaggerated in CA games, but it does have very solid historical elements. The main thing is that it was fairly useless in combat due to its low penetration, power, and range, but could be used for assassinations or against unarmoured enemies (as long as the tip was coated in poison).
1212 Is really a visual masterpiece in every way. Probably better than anything CA would make. But damn, every faction has basically the same units, same stats, almost no depth. Campaign is pretty shallow too. I really wanted to love the mod but really I can't
There are around 4000 units in the mod. How can you balance all of them without keeping them balanced compared to eachother? Not all units got unique stats for a valid reason.
Between the 12th and 15th century, England owned large swathes of France? At one point it owned more of France than the French themselves? The battles of Crecy, Poitier, and Agincourt, are just a few arse whoopings the English handed the French? So tell me again how the French were the standard for medieval armies in Europe?
Did u know France has won the most battles/wars in the entire world, look it up

Well, depending on which historical period you use as a starting point to talk about "France" as a nation, it may be a misleading statistic, since antiquity does not count and neither does the early medieval period; since historically, it is considered an appropriate time to mark the birth of strictly modern nations (as we know them today) approximately in the 15th century. If you take that period as a starting point, France has a war victory rate similar to the main historical countries of Europe, such as Spain and England; although it is comparably above the rest (Germany, Sweden, Turkey, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Switzerland, etc).
The Bannerlord devs are apparently working on a big update in their beta branch. After it's released (maybe a few weeks later, to allow time for a hotfix or two) would be a good time for a new Bannerlord campaign.
