Great video! Very easy to follow along and really appreciate the explanation during the opening process. The RAM sticks that came with the laptop just started to show signs of failing on me so I took this opportunity to upgrade to 16GB

Thanks to this video, Im going up to 32g RAM. Yours short SSD bit was also helpful but do you also happen to have a video updating that? I can manage changing for another same-sized SSD, but once going to the bigger ones needing the caddy etc, im lost.

Thank you for watching! Did you get the "two parts caddy"? Can I have the link if it is online? I think there are two brackets to buy as two parts so you just attach them onto each side of your new 2.5 inch SSD drive. Be sure to get the screws also with the brackets. Client didn't order this from me so I haven't done it. This guy bought the external HDD. Successful upgrading!

Hi! Great video! I`m from Brazil and I will follow your video to change the memory of my Dell G3. But, I have one question, I saw that the system gives an warning that "the amount of system memory has changed", so do I need to do the diagnostic or just continue? Thanks!

Thank you for watching. Unfortunately this happens on Dell laptops when changing RAM. This is what I saw on on Dell forum how a person fixed this problem: "Let the computer sit there for at least 10 minutes max. You will eventually see a dialog stating "press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup). You can press F1, it will boot into Windows. As soon as you get to the login, do a reboot, and presto, no more memory messages. If you really want to be safe, press F2 to go into BIOS , and then press F10 to save and exit. That also will do the trick". Some guys removed the main battery and CMOS battery then the error message disappeared. Let me know if any of this worked. Salud!

I recently bought this laptop at a very good price, I would say they sold it to me for approximately $300, everything works fine but I would like to do an update and I have in mind to put 32 ram, would you recommend all that ram and also change the thermal paste? the laptop usually gets very hot :) thanks

Hello! Good price you got for your laptop. You planned changing thermal paste? Have your read online there is somekind of issue with it or this model of laptop? Yes, some devices get hot fast. When you remove the back cover, please check the dust level accumulation inside and especially on heat dissipating exhaust. If you can evaluate it without dismantling it.

Thank you for watching. The RAM module only fits one way because of the slit. So you can't insert it wrong way. Not a lot of force, gentle and progressive, all the way down. You can do it, don't worry much. The fact that you worry means you are responsible.
