I love this lady. Being a Historical Fiction buff and having an ancestral line from Scotland, I absolutely love Outlander. It is my favorite show of all time! She is the greatest! Watching her in action is amazing!
I had already been to Scotland twice before I found the Outlander books. I fell in love with Scotland the minute I got there. My first trip was part of a trip to middle and Northern England. I included 3 days in Edinburgh that trip. Then, two years later, I did two weeks just in Scotland. I started in Edinburgh, then drove Northwest through the Cairngorm mountains to Inverness. Then out to the Isle of Skye then down to Glasgow. That was a wonderful trip. Ten years later I went back and went all the way up to the Orkney Islands. That place is magical! I went back to Orkney 2 years later and have made great friends there. If you haven't been to Scotland, all I can say is, GO! You won't regret it! 🏴
OMG I’ve started to watch Outlander recently and I thought the writer must be a Scottish person who wants to bring back Scotch history into books and Tv series then looked out for Diana and here I am watching this amazing woman ha ha what’s a surprise for me 😁 and she “wrote the book for practice “😄
I've done genealogy and found myself daydreaming about what life was like for my ancestors. I thought for sure that Diana's writings stemmed from something similar. I am in awe of the storyline and can't get enough!
Mom loves theses book and read them as soon as they came out years ago before they were popular. And I'm very good friends with her cousin John Gabaldon. I definitely see a family resemblance.
A good work of historic fiction let's you "experience history is first person". That describes her work so aptly. Hailing from an academic background, this lady is exceptional in her intellect and creativity.
Eight books, and a TV series later, we're all glad that Diana chose to begin her wonderful stories in Scotland.

This is the best interview of hers that I've yet seen. She really shines in one-on-one interviews.

Fascinating woman. I was just blown away by the end of season 2, which in some ways quite shocked me.

No! Never a 2 hour movie, outlander deserves much more, thankgoodness it got that.
She's done so well for someone with a vague plan and minimal experience!!!
I think she's very courageous... and Lucky!

1:32 - "I found myself still thinking about that in church"
Inspiration for the daydreamers during Mass...
doesnt say much for the pastor. Boring. BUT at least she went.
It's funny how she decided that the easiest thing for her to write was historical fiction while it's nearly the hardest thing for me
its what she loves. I could relate. I love history & nobody wants to hear me talk about it. She found an outlet.
She's so pretty. She talks really fast hehe :)
Thank you Diana

Her voice is so weird
She speak so quickly calm down xD
Great writer, most annoying voice ever.
I hear Hepburn, Katherine, not Audrey.
I love her voice!
Not only annoying voice but her mind is only on sex because that sells. Enjoy your income from sex stories.
