    There are 4 categories of these upgrades: Electronics, Cosmetics, Comfort, and, of course, Safety.

    Interesting. I have a similar story. Traded my ‘05 Ultra with 105K for my 2019 Ultra Limited. Upgraded a number of things, seat & backrest, headlight, windshield, upgraded the bcm flashing to allow for bluetooth audio and coms, passing lamps on with high beams, as well as tire pressure monitors. Then with just 500 miles on it I completely rebuilt the motor to a torquey 128”. Pretty sure this will be my last bike, so I made it just what I like. 12K of pure bliss so far.

    Lovely vid, well presented, easy voice to listen to. Nice easy upgrades. Thank you from a not so sunny Scotland. Gee.

    Gotta get that gas cap magnet!
    I have the 2020 Road Glide Special and also got the CB radio and SiriusXM in the fairing. Instead of the short antenna’s, I have H-D’s internal fairing-mounted antennas for the CB and FM radio, so when my tour pack is off (most of the time), there is nothing I will kick back there. Both radios sound just fine. I probably lost some range on my CB, but I can transmit and receive just fine in a group of 20 bikes, which is all I need.
    Thanks for the informative video.

    Nice bike. The magnet on the gas cap is a genius idea that I would have never thought of. Safe travels.

    In the U.K., high mileage really depreciates the price on Harleys when it comes to trade-in or selling.
    Top dollar bikes + top dollar accessories = Harley Davidson.

    You may consider going with the S&S oil pump. I did on my 17 ultra limited. Gave me a reason to do a stage 2!

    Great Video thanks for sharing. Getting rid of that butt plug exhaust and retuning it is worth doing for the HEAT alone.

      Yep, that is a great add-on. Got mine from RickRak. Before that, I was always dropping the gas cap and then having to crawl under the bike to get it.

    Awesome!! I got the same bike yesterday (even the same color) 😊 I like the upgrades which you did and I’m very happy that I watched your video as now I got some thoughts on upgrades which I wanna do on mine 😊 Where did you got the rubber magnet for the gas tank opener? Did you happen to use CarPlay on the bike? Does the windshield help taking off the wind hitting you and and your wife in passenger seat while riding on highways?

    I as well am a firm believer in using lighting to make myself more visible to other motorists. My ex-wife was run over while sitting still waiting on a break in oncoming traffic, she had only the single stock brake light and a very small custom turn signal. Anyway I'm wondering if you ever have any issues from law enforcement about the strobe module? I received a ticket in Virginia for having illegal emergency equipment because the amber light bar on my service truck was equipped with turn signals and brake light's. Both the brake lights and signals give a quick 2 flash strobe when you activate them. I think the officer was just trying to be a piece of work, but it wasn't worth a 5 hour trip to go to court so I paid the ticket.

      I am so sorry to hear about the accident your ex-wife was in. I have not had any trouble with law enforcement since I installed the strobe brake light. I live in Virginia and have ridden the bike all along the east coast and have not been stopped. My lights are programmed to strobe twice when I hit the brake and then stay solid. When I am sitting at a stop light I will often release and re-engage the brake to have the strobe repeat when people are coming up behind me. I'm sorry about the ticket you got.

    Hi Jim, did that model come standard with the chrome cover on the bottom or the rear fender or did you buy it separate ?

    • @jimontwo
      @jimontwo  3 года назад

      That came standard on mine. They dropped the chrome piece beginning with the 2020 model.

    What is the color on your paint?

    • @jimontwo

      It is the flat (denim) paint. Harley calls it Industrial Gray and Black Denim.

    Hi Jim,
    Curious what lighting you had on your 2014 before you got rid of it? Looks sharp and low profile.
    I'm about to pickup a 2013 and will need to replace the lights for sure.

    • @jimontwo
      @jimontwo  4 года назад

      On my 2014, I added the same Custom Dynamics LED replacements for the front turn signals. On the rear, I went with the Harley lights for those "filler" sections between the saddlebags and the fenders. Having now had both, I highly recommend the Custom Dynamics fillers for the rear. They are much brighter, and adding the strobe module makes the bike all the more visible. Much more value for your money, in my opinion. I hope this helps!
