The reason behind Melmetal being so prevalent in the Pokemon GO set is because both Meltan and Melmetal were introduced in Pokemon GO. And even though they are classified in the Sun and Moon dex, you couldn't use them in the mainline games till Sword and Shield came out with Melmetal also getting a Gigantamax form that you got when you paired Pokemon Go with Home.
Personally I don't think you need to change anything.. This simple, "low-budget" style is just very nice :3 And it gives me good FEHeroes feels as opening Pokémon card packs is somewhat similar to summoning heroes after all :P If there was one thing I'd change about this channel, and I had to say something, then maybe I'd suggest opening more than just Pokémon packs? Which is of course not what this channel is about, but it's nice to see other stuff mixed in.. maybe.. I don't know..

Hey Foafy I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CHANNEL!!! I have been loving the content that you’ve been posting on your main channel for years at this point and this new channel is just more amazing content for me and the rest of your audience to enjoy. I’m not even all that into Pokémon but for some reason in recent months I have found people opening Pokémon Cards very entertaining and an all around good experience to watch and the launch of your Pokémon channel came at the perfect time. The feeling that the content creator gets when the pull cards that they have been wanting is unmatched and it’s awesome reacting with you and other people when they pull good cards. (Sorry if that’s phrased weird) The only thing that I would change (or I guess add) that I would do a face cam and the Pokémon background with the cards (think the classic gaming youtuber video layout). I think that this will maybe allow your audience to connect with the videos more. But what do I know I’m a teenager on the internet who know nothing about Pokémon or content creation. Of course this is your channel and ultimately all the creative decisions come down to you but I just thought I would throw a suggestion out there. Not here to brag or to make a deal of it, mostly just genuinely curious and surprised: I opened my first bundle of the Go set about 3 weeks ago, and got a radiant charizard amidst my first 4 packs. Immediately I was shocked because oh wow, a holographic charizard card is ALREADY amazing, but then I started thinking. Has anyone else had issues finding the other two radiant starters? They seem to be the more elusive to me, but maybe that’s just my luck running out ^^’
I mean… if they really were “steel” type, they would be weak to electricity, so calling them “metal” might actually be more accurate to what they are instead of what they are actually named.
honestly the content you are making is already great you seem like you are having a lot of fun with the content you are making and enjoying yourself even watching the videos over time you have improve but honestly if you want to make some new or different kinds of content maybe try going to some of the pokemon tcg events a fun one to start with are the pokemon tcg prerelease which are tournaments that you can go to and get some cards from the pokemon sets about 1-3 weeks before the set release and they have promos that are only in the prerelease kits the ones for lost origin should be starting around 2nd-3rd week of august depending on where you are at so i suggest asking around your local comic or videogames stores to see if they do prerelease and if you can film it maybe get some friends to join you as well the prerelease are normally a 25$ buy in and i do recommend bringing a few things being a set of card sleeves (decks for prerelease are 40 cards so just make sure it is a matching set of sleeves) a deck box (to well hold your deck) a set or 2 of dice and a burn and posion counters and a vstar marker in case (pretty much what you normally get from a elite trainer box) but other then that unless you want to bring a binder with extra cards you are willing to trade to maybe get things you want you dont need to bring anything else but honestly i think it would be interesting to see you play the pokemon card game and see how you like it and if you do like it to maybe see you get better at it with time there are a lot of events you can try and go to rather it is locally or traveling around the us to go to the pokemon regionals or bigger events even if you dont want to play competively i think this is a cool way to meet more people in the community considering the 2022 season is about to be ending with worlds being later this month it would be a good time to maybe get into the card game and try it if you like it! anyway sorry for the long comment and i know that there are a lot of newer pokemon fans for this channel so if anyone has any questions about tcg events or how to play the game i dont my answering some questions

Honestly I also chose my Pokémon go team purely based on the legendary bird it was connected to. Also, Melmetal is pretty significant to Pokémon go because Meltan and melmetal both originate from Pokémon go, and are the only Pokémon to debut through it. The two have no official home region and to this day you can only evolve meltan into melmetal inside of Pokémon go.
Since you specifically requested suggestions, maybe something to break up the monotony of commons? Like, currently you sometimes talk about something else instead of naming the card and moving on, which does help. Just naming the card and moving on without anything else feels like wasted time in the video. Also another suggestion I saw that I think would be fun is pack openings of other, weird or obscure packs. Like you did with the Steven Universe cards. There are a ton of weird card packs out there, could be fun to see some of the more wacky ones.
I do like the sets with guaranteed holos since nowadays most sets have so many ultra rares and secret rares that it takes up almost half of the set and is so expensive to complete. Melmetal is important to go since that is where it was introduced and is still an exclusive to the game and the only way to get it in a mainline game is to transfer it out.
These card pack openings feel super zen to me. Plus it is fun to see what cards you are getting and having you celebrate when you pull something you like. Please continue to make more fantastic videos, Foafy. Love your channels. God bless and stay amazing.

for some reason release week I was pulling radiant cards alot more than I do. I was able to get 3 sets for the radiant cards. which I sold one graded another and kept the other top loaded
ughhh i'm having the same luck issues but for peelable ditto 😭i've opened dozens of packs and have gotten alt art mewtwo, 2 radiant venusaurs, and even a rainbow rare dragonite, but none of the 3 potential peelable ditto cards!!!!!

How you can’t pull radiants I can’t pull a ditto. I have doubles of the radiants but not a single freaking ditto I’m so mad haha
You not pulling any radiant Pokémon is me with Ditto.
At this point it'd be more financially smart to just buy the missing cards 😂

I’m surprised that you didn’t pull any radiants, I managed to get all 3 and an extra Blastoise
after about five minutes in i saw that ditto could be in a bidoof and i went
'wait i have a reverse holo bidoof'
long story short i have a ditto now so thanks foafy
I have opened nearly 200 packs and have not pulled a SINGLE rainbow card for this set. I have everything else at this point except the secret rares
Can confirm they do, I have the radiant blastoise
You should be able to get a radiant Pokémon out of every 18 packs on average

Yes I knew they existed cause I have a radiant charizard (Well mine was shiny and the on the thumbnail it was not.) Well it’s the same thing cause it doesn’t matter if it’s shiny or not it just makes it rarer
Seesh, I knew my radiant venusaur was rare but I didn’t know it was this rare! This was a good ego boost
I got the Team Instinct box for the promo card (I'm collecting Full Art Supporters) but I got some wicked pulls from the packs; Full art Exeggutor, Alt art Conkledurr and Radiant Blastoise
I got the radiant zard from mine!

for some reason release week I was pulling radiant cards alot more than I do. I was able to get 3 sets for the radiant cards. which I sold one graded another and kept the other top loaded
I was opening Pokémon go packs and found a radiant charizard lol, I also pulled dragonite alternate art too I think
Crazy cause I’ve only pulled 2 dittos from all my Pokémon Go openings, and like 6 radiant charizards 3 radiant Blastoise and 2 radiant venusaurs
i would like to see the prices as you open for at least halo/rares
I've pulled three Radiant Blastoise and none of the other two, please take them off my hands...
ughhh i'm having the same luck issues but for peelable ditto 😭i've opened dozens of packs and have gotten alt art mewtwo, 2 radiant venusaurs, and even a rainbow rare dragonite, but none of the 3 potential peelable ditto cards!!!!!

I was able to pull the blastoise and the charizard from an etb and an eggxecutor v box, I rlly wanted the set so I just bought the venesaur and ebay 🙃
