i don’t see foafy as a pokémon channel, but you’re the only ”pokemon card opening” channel i can stand
There's very few Pokemon card opening channels I even like anymore. Most of the popular ones are just way too high energy, and focus so much on getting good pulls and nothing else. Foafy, TwicebakedJake, and ASMR Playroom are the only opening channels I watch regularly.
For real all the other ones are super loud and overly exited
My favorite is when purplecliffe opens cards (he mostly plays the games though)

One thing I noticed with 151 is that if you're collecting and you put the cards in order, the Pokemon themselves are in pokedex order. My 151 collection is ALMOST complete (aside from secret rares)
Honestly I don’t even watch the openings sometimes I just listen while doing other things and I love how entertaining the ramblings are😂 it’s like a podcast with cool Pokémon
I agree with your sentiment on the TCGclassic. Both the Evolutions and celebrations charizard reprints have stayed at pricepoints that are honestly still not to friendly younger or casual collectors. Putting it in a deck *would* be perfect if executed properly, with that price being a miserable snag. Oh well, hope its printed intonthe ground and the "inVesTOrS" still weighed down by machampions path don't even bother or hit a wall with the high retail.
im gonna die on the hill that he should open his first packs of the product on camera and then open more off cam as a part of his hobby side of things. i personally rlly like to see people's sorta initial reaction to new sets and stuff and it kinda ruins it when they've already pulled all the top cards of the set off camera before filming their first vid of the set. i will fully acknowledge that these videos must take a lot of time to fully make and complete, but the filming process cannot be seriously tasking. i'd love to see your first reaction to pulling your chase card and your first time looking at all the cool artworks. just some of my honest feedback! still love the vids despite my nitpicks!
151 has been such a cool set, I love it! Oh btw I do believe I seen something saying eventually you’ll be able to get those cards from the classic collection another way. That $400 price tag isn’t worth it at all 😩 Anyway, awesome video as always!
i think having this as an overall collectable channel is a good idea! i'm not sure how big you are into games, but maybe even playing like your first pokemon game in a while and doing a let's play of that could be neat!

A note on my view on your channel: I don't consider Foafy a Pokémon channel. I consider it a collectible channel. And in fact, I'm more inclined to look at your videos on odd figures than your Pokémon card videos.
I mean, I feel the same. That's why I don't make my channel to be JUST one thing, but 3 different things. I believe it's a good thing to open off camera, and the ln SHOW the pulls (like you're doing at around 15:54) We get to see what you loved pulling. It's a win-win! You get to show off your favorite pulls AND open up the set, and we get entertained, which I believe is the main reason to have a RUclips channel.
The way I do mega packs is that first, I put all the energies, then I put all the commons, then all the uncommon’s, then the first reverses, then all the second reverses, and then the final rares,usually I do it with five packs
I don’t think I’ve ever looked at this channel as a Pokemon channel. Yeah you do Pokemon stuff, but your other stuff is what hooked me into the channel tbh. Definitely support you doing more of it!
That SAR Mew you're talking about in the Japanese set was my number one Chase card.. my first and only Japanese booster box I pulled it with a Flareon Master Ball

It's amazing that you created the themes for matpat's channels and especially the gtlive one is my favorite
I kinda always saw this as a collectibles channel. Yeah most of it has been Pokémon but there’s been enough other stuff to make my brain think “oh yeah, he does other stuff too. This is cool”.
And y’know, the wrinkly pink thing in my skull is the boss in terms of me. So if it thinks this channel is for all kinds of collectibles, then I say go for it!
I always hunt full art trainers and I got a pack of paldea evolved that has 2 full art trainers so that was cool
I bought the ultra-premium mew box, I wanna make a video opening it, I too enjoy the first 4 generations after that I kind of wasn't into it.
Nice pulls, second pack I opened had Charizard SIR and got me hyped up to get some more packs.
lol my luck with my 151 upc was way better but it still felt pretty lackluster
I got a golem and kangaskan ex, pikachu and ivysaur illustration rares, a golden switch, and Arbok and Mew full arts. Not bad I guess, but yeah yours was weirdly dry
You've had much better luck with pull rates it seems
I recently learned about the existence of both Avatar: the Last Airbender trading cards as well as Super Mario Bros. trading cards (though they aren't available directly in the US). I'd love to see you open up some of those, personally :>
The 3 vintage style decks should be $60 ATLEAST

That etb is the probably the only one that doesn't have other cards (well duw to sword and shield set gone)
I agree on the Special classic deck set price, I have been collecting since day one but I am also someone who just lives on a tight budget. The price completely made it unrealistic entirely. It was sad to see.

I love the Kanto region, but I love gen 2 and gen 3 and I feel that gen 2 and gen 3 don't get the attention they deserve.

the TCG classic decks are gonna be sold next year without the fancy breifcase which is 100% bringing up the price of the product so watch out for that

Been enjoying your stuff over the past little while. A lot of the card art and whatnot is cool with this set, but I’m so tired of Gen 1 being the focus of anything and everything Pokémon. I get it, it’s iconic, it’s what just about everyone knows, but it gets exhausting with how much they push the original 151 when other older gens deserve some spotlight. Also TCG Classic was beyond ridiculous with its price.
