    Have you had any issues with your spool wobbling under drag pressure? Just received my 2500hgfk the other week and it was the first thing I noticed.. also found a post on reddit about it

      @jordanbotterell5668 Hi Jordan, good name you've got there! I haven't had this issue at all, I would get in touch with Shimano in regards to it and see what their response is.
      Out of curiosity, how much pressure have you got on when it does this? In another video I made I discussed the hyper drag capabilities of modern reels and their potential issues and I'm wondering if this issue you're experiencing might be due to this.

    What size whopper plopper do you use for bass? Also where abouts on the river would you suggest to fish them?

    • @jordythebassist
      @jordythebassist  5 месяцев назад

      Anywhere up to 100mm in length is good. This time of year it will be difficult to find one, but anywhere from up near Tarneit and down to Bungies Hole is worth a try

      Hey mate, I've got Toray x8 PE1.0 on it. It's a lot like Gosen but with a bit more abrasion resistance to it.

    Awesome setup, the wife would kill me if I spent that much on a reel, LOL Great tip for the whopper plopper, should be getting mine in the mail soon, can't wait to give it a go. Great job with the new setup and very nice session.

      Same mate, which is why I sold a whole heap of gear just to finance the one reel 😅
      That whopper plopper should work well on the Cod mate, let me know how you go with it!

    Quick question why the 2500 not the 3000 just trying to make the right decision on my end

    • @jordythebassist
      @jordythebassist  8 месяцев назад +1

      The only difference between a 2500 and 3000 is the bigger capacity of the spool as the mechanicals are the same otherwise. The bigger spool on the 3000 is something I don't typically need when chasing Bass or even Snapper on the kayak with this reel. My land based Snapper and Mulloway outfit has a 3000 for the extra capacity since I can't chase a fish down as easily.

      @@jordythebassist ok thanks that’s another reason I asked I’m trying to buy for kayaking

    • @jordythebassist
      @jordythebassist  8 месяцев назад

      @kryptonitelegacy4050 I wouldn't worry about the difference between a 2500 and a 3000 if you're going on kayak, just pick the one that you feel is best as they're both going to serve you well 🙂

    I agree with the slow roll on the whopper plopper 100%
    I found a bass dead he would have been 50cm and had a dead 25-30cm Redfin logged in his throat...
    Don't underestimate the Aussie Bass mate, the bigger lures just seem to draw out the bigger bass 🎣💪
    Way to break in that new combo mate, you could buy a cheap car with the price of that combo haha
    Look after it well bro 👍🏼
    Keen on some cod footage when you get them bigger whopper ploppers...
    Question can the Bass run to brackish water there to breed?

    • @jordythebassist
      @jordythebassist  Год назад

      Well this is the big debate we've been having, the river runs under a highway and it is unaccessible there to the public. Some people say there are screens stopping fish from going under the highway to get to the brackish, some say they can swim through freely.
      What I will say is that the other day a mate of mine caught the smallest one I've ever seen in there, less than 20cm. It didn't show signs of stunted growth, tail fin was intact. I could have sworn it was a wild juvenile.
      So my guess is it is either another stocking of fingerling someone privately has done since VFA won't ever stock the river with Bass again - or they are getting through to breed and making their way back up again.

      Hi Greg, thanks for the constructive feedback. This is one of my earlier videos where I've sorta tried to review gear but didn't really have much of a structure to how to do the review. Hopefully my latest reel review on the Twin Power FE is more to your liking. Cheers 👍
