Nura is wearing a Mino...a traditional japanese rain coat made from rush grass, same with his hat or ronin-gasa, love that they added these accessories...its what 1st drew me to this set 👍
When this first went up for preorder I could not resist--3 incredible looking figures with soft goods, tons of accessories, AND based on Asian lore/aesthetics. My only worry was the fact it was a preorder and I wasn't sure when it would be released, but getting it in hand and playing with the figures made me a believer in NottaToys quality.
I just got the Wukong figure. I'm so happy to finally have a version of the Monkey King in my collection. He is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. Good review.

I think I'll have to get on that deluxe 3-pack after the new year. When you first mentioned these, I thought I was just gonna get Wukong (I'm a fan of The Monkey King character and legend) but after seeing you review I want them all. I'm glad you got the review up. I have the wukong and once I opened it i was blown away so I hit big bad for the Yan. Now after this review I went back again for the samurai. Lol hope this big bad pre orders come through

Is it just me but the Nura figure's hs looks a lot like Joe Odagiri. I wonder if they based the others on specific actors too. I can't figure out who Yan could be, but he looks like he could be a classic Shaw Brothers kung fu character.

I think the Nura figure is based on the Ghost of Tsushima Kensei Armor with the Deadly Rival's hat, there's a color pattern that closely resembles this figure.

I had the Monkey King on PO for the last year. Didnt get the other two because the head sculpts seemed a little too large for my collection.
