I agree Hawg, the currency exchange is huge. Everything that stacks available on there. Don't like blight? Or essence farming? Easily buy those oils and essences for crafting. I do selfishly hope they bring this into SSF leagues though, I know it goes against the point of SSF but I don't mind hunting unique's, item bases, maps etc but trying to find those elusive Exalted orbs or Annulments for crafting can be really frustrating.

It actually got me a little emotional when I watched the trailer because it blew my mind. I didn't even play Necropolis league because it looked like total trash.

Someone really liked AC4 when they came up with this... and I freaking love it. It lets you leave the game and come back to rewards instead of just having to clear maps over and over and over again. Then you get that dopamine rush of "What gifts did I get for my work while I was away"
d4 showcase "hey guys heres a new uninspired class, are you guys excited for our 60$ expansion yet?" 1 hour later "whats up so were adding an entire new game to poe also were reworking the entire old game so youre getting 2 new games for free"
PoE is free, but the reason it can keep doing amazing stuff like this is because their loyal fanbase spends money on microtransactions...if I put more hours in than I do for a AAA game, I make sure to spend some money on microtransactions...which I've never done in any other game because I've never cared about how my character looks....but it's worth it to pay these guys, as I've done many times over.

Also, your complaining content is better done with comedy, while seeing you more genuine during excitement or enjoyment is way more satisfying to watch. you can play the game without doing any of the "tedious stuff". You're still able to run maps back to back if thats where your fun is, or play another game, thats fine too :)

Why's more currency dumb? The function of gold is literally to make sure you're still playing the game and not sitting in your town 24/7. Also it blocks trade bots because they can't access the currency exchange without enough gold. I think Hawg probably has enough time and experience in the game to not be poor. If you've got the time of day literally just blasting maps and selling everything = 5-10d/h

I also discovered POE because of D3. I couldn't stand that game and a buddy of mine suggest path. Haven't looked back since.
