Remember randomly downloading this on limewire, it was labeled as jean michel jarre, good to finally know the real artist behind this 😂 this has been quite my introduction to electronic classical music back in the days
dude for real. my junior or senor year and Napster was just released to the world. we had it on some computes in my electronics class. waited for this thing to download at like 20ksec(hahaha) and listen to it until it was finished
Besides the original church organ version this is by far the best version of Bach's masterpiece! Other remixes only have small parts of the original but this has the whole thing. Perfect! 😀 It sounds slightly different than the old mp3 I have though.
After 1:04 is my favorite part of this classical piece. Edit: Actually, this is my favorite classical piece, and to some it's scary, to me, it's intense in parts, no scary bit in it for me.

There are two versions of this toccata. This version has better drums and we used it to silently replace the first version. Apart from that, nothing has changed!
This takes me back. I got the Galbatron CD (produced on-demand at the time by a service I think?) and remember setting up the audio kit in a local community theatre for a show and blasting this through! Great to fall across this 😊
This whole remix was made on a very cheap Yamaha sound card of a few hundred euros. I forgot the model number, but will dive into this and let you know as soon as possible!
The sounds were heavily edited though using Yamaha XG Works, a program that is no longer available. The church organ has a bell sample at the very end added to it. Keyboards with similar sounds are the Yamaha PSR home keyboards from the nineties (supporting XG standard), the Yamaha CS1x, the CS6x, the MU80 Tone Generator and later MU models en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_MU-series. Also see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_XG
Actually we took the liberty to change a few small things here and there, as this is an arrangement after all. Thank you for your kind words! It's always great to meet fellow-musicians on the internet.
Really? That's nearly an 1:1 cover of Jean Michel Jarre's Version. You only sporadically altered some instruments, but it's completely the same base, even the speed. At least you could be honest. But I am honest, this version is better.
Indeed, this track was made by us and not Jarre. It's kind of a compliment that people like it so much that they attribute it to Jarre, but Jarre had absolutely nothing to do with this. He never made an arrangement of this track.
Lmao this is missattributed to Jarre, he never released any cover of this, the limewire years, those guys are legend because people labelled this track as Jarre's but they deserve thecomoliments on that one
Danm buddy that's rough Hey how about you see if you can un plagiaris your look (if that's you in the pfp) cus dayum homie you looks like every father trying to be hip even worse you look like you deal with NFTS
Yikes! JS Bach would turn in his grave listening to this. The choice of instruments in particular is quite bad. You should listen to an interpretation of this piece by a group called SKY.
I don't think anyone can speak for Bach. Not you, not us. We just felt inspired by him and did our own thing. There's no accounting for tastes, and I'm sorry for wasting your time listening to it. Have a good one!
Bach is so versatile. Its amazing how relevant he is despite the passage of time.

I always believed this was Jean Michel Jarre, very similar style, but I stand corrected
Спасибо вам ! Вы талант! Теплый привет из России ❤

Nostalgia! I remember this from middle school. Early 2000s.

schöne Sound Melodie von Jean-Michel Jarre.
It's not from Jarre, but thank you for the compliment.
Hello, is it free to use ? Thanks
That's something you need to take up with CDBaby. They own the license.
@Galbatron, any chance I could get the non compressed version? Don’t mind buying it. Thanks!
I believe there's one on CDBaby! If not, please let me know and we'll find a solution.

This whole remix was made on a very cheap Yamaha sound card of a few hundred euros. I forgot the model number, but will dive into this and let you know as soon as possible!
Found it! It was a Yamaha DB50-XG. Maybe an extra layer was added to it by Eppo (the other band member), I don't quite remember. I've just asked him.
