- The Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565, is a piece of organ music written by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750) -source Wikipedia.org Most recently a sample of it can be heard in the movie Ready Player One. It was also the opening track on the 1940 Disney Animated movie Fantasia. An excerpt of it was also in the 2004 movie The Aviator by Martin Scorsese starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
When I was kid learning the piano, I came across this incredible recording of church organ music with this composition of Bach being the first on the CD. Now +25 years later I decided it was time to make a drumstep version of this amazing piece of classical music.
Enjoy and let me know what you think about it in the comments!

I wonder if Bach ever thought of the future and if his great works would still being used after centuries. This is true immortality in action.
Thanks for this great compliment!
Remarkable. I HOPE HE is proud. He should be. Xx
The best about this song, is that it was actually just written to "test" the organs he repaired. This is the meaning of "tocatta" : to "touch" every key, every note, to be sure they work well
i wonder if Bach ever thought it would be used for a jumpscare
@@YplanAnimator I wonder if he ever thought that he would be considered the greatest of all time
Just imagine how fresh this sounded in the 1700s
Haha! I've met you yesterday in Tenerife, right? :)
Toccata and Fugue in D minor is the greatest song ever made. It is directly responsible for the majority of music in Western civilization.
True!
Yea I could see similarities in lil wayne and boy george
Source?
@@juliahart8593 his source is that he made it the fuck up
This music(the original one) was the opening of a educational anime animated by tatsunoko in the 90, this made me took interest in classic music and science, this music moved me, and to this day it still do.
I was sent here from a spooky DJ
Were they wearing a black cloak💀

Bach is a classic music ? No. It is hyper-timeless. Beautiful synergy of the music and the video in this clip. Thanks !
Thank you very much!
No, it's baroque. *dab*
Most recently a sample of it can be heard in the movie Ready Player One. Do you remember which scene? Comment below!
Jay30k it’s been a too long time ago, can you tell us which scene please ?
@@generalpatton8890 Sorry for the late reaction: it's when the old guy announces he's dead and everyone in the Oasis can win a price by finding the easter eggs
Jay30k oh I didn’t remember, thank you for the answer 😄
I realised and finally find it here
Normally I play this organwork as an international concert organist, but ... this is great! Also a big compliment to Bach himself. His music sounds great in each arrangement! My compiments for this video!!!
Arjan, ontzettend leuk en een enorme eer dat je reageert op mijn versie van Bach. Dank u zeer, edele heer! :)

- Count Blue Lobster
I am SO SO interested what Bach would say to this!!! His first few seconds would be priceless! :D
So true! Lol but I think he'd just be really mad.. really funny to watch though 😂
“What the fuck”
Pretty sure most people have few molecules or at least atoms that once were constitutional part of JS Bach. Those few units I can as an average assumption assume to have are crying from pleasure.
3:07 sounds like a sonic game level
My music gets compared a lot with Sonic game music for some reason
Yes XD
Bach was a big fan of Sonic
Nice
I’m back 3 years later with 3 words to explain

This is literally everything but Drumstep lmao
you should do more to make it a remix and not slightly altered version of the original, which in turn makes this song feel cheap and poorly made
Wooooooooooow...your work is amazing. I wish you all the success in your career! 😃
Dude this is a masterpiece of its own!!!
I love this music, it's literally perfect.. my imagination runs wild with this stuff.
Keep it up
Jay30k done well bro. Keep up the work
I enjoyed every second of this. The music was perfectly synced and the video was done just as well, and every second of footage fit the feel and pacing of the song. I feel like Bach would be proud!
Thank you very much!
When music is played in any genre and sound epic...it’s a masterpiece

If there’s ever a live action Neon Genesis this whole vid could be used as the Human Instrumentality segment.
Its Very Very GREAT!!!!!!
This is quality! The best Toccata remix ever done! Totally nailed it man!
Eu, como ávido ouvidor de música barroca e eletrônica, crio que esse remix é uma obra prima! Rica em musicalidade e textura.
Aliais, as imagens de fundo ajudam a passar a ideia de constante movimento que a musica eletrônica passa.

This sounds like it could be the opening to some TV series or movie about vampires in the modern day (hopefully something actually good and not shit like Twilight).

Hello, sorry for my bad english (i'm French) but how can you do this time : 3:17 yes i thik it's so fabulous and i want have thé same !!!
5:16 -> 6:19 is reallllllly good too
No I don't understand what you mean, but if you want to know how i've made this: I play piano, I play bas and guitar, I've been a drummer in a band so I recorded and programmed this all. And if I use samples of orchestra I cut all bars up and timestrech every single bar to fit the tempo I want it to fit :) Took me 30-40 hours to make this
