I have this backpack for 8 years now. I can say it's most durable backpack i ever saw. After all this time of intense using incuding using it as sled (dont ask about it) only issues are: PVC layers inside of main chamber peeled off, one of zips is not opening fully, material is slightly worn at the bottom and upper edges and colour faded a little bit. Except this it feels totally fine.
I have been using this backpack for the past 2 years almost every day. From my personal experience I found this back pack very easy to use very durable cause I don't really take care of it and really comfortable. The only thing I thought it was missing but this is my personal opinion and added it by myself is chest straps. For it's money I would suggest it to anybody a really well built and comfortable backpack for an everyday basis use. Tnx for your review.I found it great!
Thank you! Yes, a chest strap could be a very good feature, considering that a waist belt - on such a small backpack - is almost useless in my opinion.

I have the 36L laser cut version but almost everyone i see on RUclips don't know there's a secret extra pocket in the back for maps. Im glad you showed it. I've used mine in thin rain for around 60 minutes hiking and everything was kept dry
late, but i will say, never really had any water issue with my 20L version, give or take its the model with the PVC coated or something like that and it runs very well so far, but now i decided to get a larger 36L one but in the normal fabric look. Now the water leaking issue that might happen from the zipper hole can easily be fixed if you just off set the zipper, one side or the other. But as suggested, you can very much just get a backpack rain cover to keep it very dry.

Nice and honest video. Great backpack (36l one). I use it 3-4 times a week. Mountain biking, backpacking, going to recreation, 3day trips... EVERYTHING. Hello, I am thinking of buying this bag, but I am torn between buying the 30 and 36 liters. Which one do you recommend? Ill use it generally for high school and university.
I got one today, as my new gym bag. Mine has a capacity of 50 L, and I can fit my weightlifting shoes, running shoes, lifting belt, boxing gloves, chalk and straps, and still have plenty of room left for other accessories in the smaller compartments. It's extremely handy!

@@paxter2154 If I am not mistaken the backpack comes in 20L and 36L capacities. I have the larger one, it is as the video says "a workhorse". It will never let you down and the zippers are bulletproof. Yes you can use it for everyday activities. I use mine for carrying around the city my (old and large 17in) laptop, large books, chargers, a set of clothes etc at once no problem. It gets a little heavy around 10 kg ~20 pounds but not uncomfortable. Have it now for 6-7 years, don't remember exactly. If you want a carry on in planes it is a no brainer. The price is getting up lately, as is anything else I suppose.
I've used mine for three years now, mainly for airsoft and the occasional hiking. I've got a 36l one so it's relatively useful. Still pretty much looks like new, they've got some newer models now including a laser cut mesh instead of molle if you're into that. I can sincerely say that I am pretty happy with the backpack, for the price... it performs great, I would put it up there with backpacks which are easily 20-30 euros more expensive. I have just seen it work compared to certain more expensive backpacks. If you put a plastic or aluminium sheet on the back it really improves things and makes it better for hiking and I've had mine hit trees, branches, dirt, it has been dragged, thrown, squashed, dropped and after washing it it's got not scratches or anything. MFH also make an "Assault II" type backpack which is 50l as opposed to Mil-Tec's 36l. It has got a single compartment and is a bit cheaper... but the quality is pretty below on my opinion. It has some features that the Mil-Tec one doesn't which don't really make sense to me. For example, it has two outlets for a hydration bladder on the left and right side. But that single compartment it has has no pocket for a hydration bladder. You just have to throw it in there with the rest of your stuff and hope for the best. Not ideal. Its zippers also don't have the Mil-Tec quality and I have taken it to just a few airsoft games and it has only been dragged a bit once, has definitely not gone through 1% of what the Mil-Tec bag has gone through and there are already scratches and shit. The waist belt on the MFH has metal buckles, which can be an advantage, but they are not that thick and the waist belt I found just keeps coming off so I just took it of for fear of losing it. The carry handle is not so good, but overall, I'd prefer a metal waist belt buckle. It also has D, rings, the outer pockets are bigger, but... I'd go with the Mil-Tec one. They are about the same price, the MFH one is a bit cheaper.
Now yours is a great review, my friend. I'm not familiar with MFH backpacks and I want to find out more about them. Yet, based on what you just said, I'll hold on tight my Mil-Tec... even tighter. Thank you!

MY REVIEW: (I was just looking for a place to review this backpack and found this video, so decided to leave my short humble review here). Considering it cost me a 35€, i'm quite satisfied. But as i bought it brand new in 2016 and for today november 2020, it's basically unusable, i wouldn't really recommend it and neither i wouldn't buy it again. 4 years for a backpack is way too short time to rate a backpack as high quality. I didn't use my it for camping neither, it was more for just going to the car, and getting it out of the car type of activities. I did squeeze it full of lots of stuff though. It was obviously abit too little for my needs, but still - i expected it to be more durable. MAIN PROBLEM - After 4 years, the inside zipper/pocket is broken, but the biggest issue is that the main pocket's zipper is failing and now is basically completely unusable. Simply the zippers on this bag are shite to be fair and this makes it very unreliable and imo defn not suitable for camping. Anyway's that was my experience, if anybody has a good backpack recommendation for me (because now i need a new one) then shoot! Thanks for attention :)
Very nice review and good video quality. I have a question for you my friend and i hope you can help me. I bought this backpack some days ago for rucking. I m thinking of putting 15-20kg inside to strengthen traps and lower back. Basically I want to rucking for 1h a day with 15-20 kg, 3 days a week.. do you think it will get damaged from the weight or it will be okay for the use i want it ?
Twenty kilos is some weight, to be honest. I'm sure that you can handle that, since you're asking. But the rucksack... Well, I believe it is too much. Of course this is just my opinion. Thank you for your comment!
I bought an off-brand version of this and it didn't last a year :| ripped at the shoulder straps - definitely only getting good quality items going forward saves you having to buy again
Hey buddy. I'm a stickler when it comes down to the quality of the zippers companies use for packs like this. Example being that they often will snap or split like a jacket. How did the zipper system work for you throughout the 5 years you had this pack? So far this has been my top pick for my next pack and I want to make sure I'm getting what I'm paying for.
Hi, the zippers never failed on me, they are still working great to this day. They are solid and I cannot say anything bad about them. I hope this helps. And if you buy this backpack, let me know if it is what you were looking for.
I'm your uncle, I did end up buying one. The design and overall size is what I’m looking for. I also did a quick video reply to show you what I generally look for when buying a pack. ruclips.net/video/6Dn5ReBee-c/видео.html
Laser cut if you want to look slick, don't require swapping the pouches often, and don't care if it looks a bit torn after having a heavier pouch or item on it for longer periods of time. If you need durability and don't need slickness, this model is the way to go
Very good , except for everything that's not very good. After 5 years of use nothing should be peeling, broken, falling off etc... it's only been 5 years!

It looks great and has great price. Is it 20L version? I was considering 36L for my son.
Im pretty sure its a 20l
0 dislikes good job
Thank you for your comment!
is this backpack 20 or 36 liters?
Its the 20 liter?
I bought an off-brand version of this and it didn't last a year :| ripped at the shoulder straps - definitely only getting good quality items going forward saves you having to buy again
I'm sorry to hear that. It happened to me too, sometimes. With this Mil-Tec, though, all went well and I was so surprised.
5 years of not using or dayli use?
I also did a quick video reply to show you what I generally look for when buying a pack.

is this the 36L ?
is the pvc black coated one worth it? ot does it peel?
Unless the material is different, it may peel off a little over time. But mine started doing it after a long time anyway.
How are you washing it ?
What is the proper way to wear that one
Is this a 20litre
Do you suggest buying this model, or the "Laser cut" model?
Laser cut if you want to look slick, don't require swapping the pouches often, and don't care if it looks a bit torn after having a heavier pouch or item on it for longer periods of time. If you need durability and don't need slickness, this model is the way to go
Nice review! Let me guess, are you a native Spanish or German? Your english is more than proficient but you sound like you're not british.
Thank you! No, I'm not british. You should hear me trying a british accent: it's a linguistic adventure. :)
Is this waterproof?
Backpacks need Fat zips !
If you buy something with tiny zips its going to last 3-5 yrs at most ! Quality is number 1 people !
Do you think this backpack can fit a 17'' laptop?
I don't think it'll fit a 17" laptop, I'm afraid a 15.6" one is the biggest it'll fit.
@@Imyouruncle I can safely say that my 15.6" laptop can fit in it pretty well, maybe a 16" one can fit too in the bigger compartment.
"this is my underwear... I'm sorry that it's dirty...i wanted to be dirty...i use it every day"
:)
5 years? Mine got ripped to shreds after 2 years of use :/
Yeah Mil-Tec is german company, but backpack is made in china.
Can it fit some clothes for a small vacation let's say??
Totally. If you extend the compression straps, I wouldn't see any problem in doing so.
i assume this is 20l model. how big is your laptop?
It's a regular 15.6 inches HP laptop.
Its a shame I really liked the bags but after having two and both bags the stitching on the straps came undone I sent them back for a refund.
What's the size of this bag please
i think it's a 20 liter
How is it holding up?
It's still in good shape, although I've been using the Eastpak Floid more often.
@@Imyouruncle Are those YKK zippers? It's a toss up between a 5.11 slingpack or this one.
Did you find it too small for you?
Not at all, my 15.6 inch laptop fits perfectly and there is still room for its accessories, my phone and its charger, personal items and so on.
@@Imyouruncle thank you so much!Waiting on mine to arrive
Great! You won't regret it.
how does this compare to the same backback offered by "bandit" they have nicer colors.
You have a really attractive man voice :)
Thank you!
Very good , except for everything that's not very good. After 5 years of use nothing should be peeling, broken, falling off etc... it's only been 5 years!
I had this for three months and the left shoulder strap is already tearing. Pure garbage. Backpack my previous samsonite backpack lasted 7 years and is still usable.
Would NOT recommend this backpack from miltech. Poor quality.
5 years, when he bought it it was WHITE lol
:)
I had this backpack for exactly 2 weeks and the right shoulder strap is already torn. I’m beyond disappointed and disgusted with this backpack. Cheap quality and it stinks like cheap plastic. I would not recommend this “military grade” product. It’s cheap made in China quality
Klinkt Nederlands XD
is this 20l or 36l?
Whats the size if this bag please.
