Hey NX, the PC version is actually a port of the 360/PS3 versions, rather than the X1/PS4 versions. This was a big controversy this week, just thought I'd point that out to you!

I'm one of those uncivilized Yankees that has very little appreciation for the game of football and yet I still greatly enjoyed the video. A testament to your skill and presentation, NX Gamer.

They need to further improve on the collision system for next year, it's a great start but it needs massive improvements. They also need to improve the nets, up close they look like they're made of squares and no a cloth like structure. A good addition would also be true kit physics. And last but not least, animation transitions at the moment are not smooth, they are instant and gives the game a robotic look. They need to add procedural animations to link one animation to the next.

bizio vizio Yes, Fifa does have these things pretty good at the moment. But the overall simulation of football is lacking quite a lot. This is what i love a lot about PES, it looks a lot more like what football looks in real life.
I think that in terms of tactics and simulating a team , pes is superior but in simulating a ''human being controlling a ball with his feet '' fifa is superior also thanks to its Momentum simulation which pes still has to fake it . Anyway congratulation on your first comment , rarely have seen that kind of detail from people who ask for new features from football games . But one more thing i don't like in pes is the removal of working old features ( the cloth simulation was introduced in pes 2014 and was working pretty good for ps3 and xbox360 , and suddenly after they movet to the new , '' more powerful '' gen of ps4/xbox one they removed it . Im pretty sure they are going to reintroduce it as a new feature in the future (i hate these kind of lies)
Actually pes 2014 has a real cloth physics but they removed it for some reason. Dont worry they are just using 50-70% of the engine capabilities. With konami focusing only in pes, i'm sure theyan improve it more.
+Michael C It does need improvement in most areas but Animation is much, much better and even FIFA 16 suffers from robotic animations and some actual big animations issues in the game (speeding up) I think FIFA 17 and PES 17 will both be much more dramatic changes next year with FIFA maybe even moving to Frostbite, thanks
that broadcast camera is sexy, though one thing that has always bugged me about PES is the lack of camera customisability. With FIFA you can zoom all the way out, in PES you're limited to so few options

Good vid fella. As a bit of a veteran pes gamer (since 95!!!lol). This is the best effort from Konami since the heady ps2 days. Licences were an issue in the past, but as you say with option files its not anymore, although ive been told xbox users dont have the same edit options, which is a bit poor really tbh.
+aces 1982 Yes it is most certainly a step-up and a great game, sadly yes I have also see that the XboxOne version is lacking this ( I was only sent the PS4 review code so this is the only one I had full test and review on) but still a decent improvement over previous games and certainly a true challenger to the almighty FIFA ;-) thanks

best pes game on new gen machines so far. it only took konami like 6-8yrs.
no one seems to mention that the tackles are way too loose, refs are allowing way too many tackles continue when they are clear fouls if you compare to a fifa game. fix this up konami or else fans will say your just too arcade like.

MGS had some story and completion issues that caused that, have you played it as yet?
NX Gamer herd about those issues,but apparently they are really minor(if we are to trust the reviewers)...
I wont play MGSV anywhere before late November,cuz of other obligations...

NX Gamer just curious,which is to you,a "better" game....Witcher 3 or MGSV?
MrVux007 It all depends on what you want out of the game, Witcher 3 has a more varied and vibrant world but MGSV has great controls, gameplay that does gel so? what king of games do you prefer?
That animated cloth wrinkling via normal maps reminds me of Max Payne 3, where I first noticed it, and then again in GTA V, being another RAGE game. The thing is, it looks much better over there. This here is just the simplest blend between two normal maps and it looks a bit awkward when seen up close. Not sure what Rockstar is doing, are they using multiple steps, or if they're morphing/warping them to create a transition, or some other wizardry. Anyways, it looks really convincing, they nailed it, Konami should take notice.
As for bad frustum culling, things popping in and out from sides, front and back... that's some real amateur hour stuff right there. I've seen some aggressive culling, but this is just broken, can't believe this got shipped. As game development goes, this is a dead-simple thing to get right. It's really surprising.
+TheBurek You are right, rockstar does use the same type of technology, but unlike in pes(which uses 2 or at most 3 steps to change the kit maps), rockstar uses many intermidate maps so that the transition looks more natural and not so sudden. Anyways nothing would beat actual cloth physics. Waiting to see Messi's jersey rippling in the air as he run past defenders and scores!
+Debopam Seal Also worth noting is that there may be differences in blending equation itself for those normal maps. There are many ways to do that, as it isn't really straightforward, because normal maps aren't really color information, they represent 3D vectors (and even for color, you might need to consider gamma, etc), so simple linear interpolation, as you might use for plain color images, might not give the most sensible result. If you get that right, you can get more of a kick from fewer intermediate images.
+TheBurek Yes the Normal swap is very jarring and along with the culling is a bad/poor area to miss on something that could be fixed so simply even a dithered pass filter on screen would be much better solution than what is present now. Not sure what Rockstar are doing but I think a much cleaner blend between or more states and it works much better than here, thanks
I hate the animations Makes them running look funny, maybe slowing down gameplay speed can fix that?

The PC version is a lazy hybrid between the 7th & 8th gen versions that's all too common from Japanese devs these days (the latest DoA did this as well).
This type of crap really needs to stop.

Sadly the PC version is a disaster. Bought almost every PES on Play Station (since late 90's) and started to play on PC with PES 2013 just to see how they don't care about the PC version at all.
PES 2015 was not too bad but the online mode on PC is unplayable (slow, laggy as hell, 1 to 2 seconds input lag...just terrible) and the same for PES 2016 (apart from the game being DX9 only with almost no post processing at all and low resolution textures everywhere)...2015 was my last PES.
I'm going to get a PS4 probably next year but won't be getting a PES game even if the game looks and plays good, and even if the online actually works.
There are high quality developers and games that really deserve my money.
