About The Daily Show:
Trevor Noah and The Daily Show correspondents tackle the biggest stories in news, politics and pop culture.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
“There is no one suffering who isn’t a part of me. There is no one excelling who isn’t a part of me.”
Jim isn’t a guru or a lunatic or a star or a weirdo. He’s just a person-here now, like us, for a very short time-who decided to work really, really hard at figuring out who “he” is only to discover he’s truly no one. And everyone. Just like me. Just like you. Just different for a blink in time.
That’s all. That’s enough. Nothing to fear.
Yes. Yes.
He is saying that we are not tigers, we are more like ants, our brains determine that we can’t do well without each other, so we are copying from each other, absolute socialism, communist dog⊙ω⊙
This is wisdom. Jim is simply being in the wisdom and relating to the world from that place, that source, through the filter of himself (which fluctuates in its density from foggy to nearly transparent).
I have a sense that there are many who "get" it, thank goodness.
👏🏼💯
Beautifully put William
My heart broke to pieces when jim was controlling his emotion mentioning his brother. Immediate flashback of him keeping us entertained for yearsss... Im so sorry. And we are with you. I love you. We love you. You are our special brother
That pause. I felt it too, even if I'm an only son, I could feel his sadness for a second. My eyes kinda watered just for the possibility of seeing him cry.
If you haven’t seen Kidding, the series he wrote and starred in recently, I highly suggest it. It’s profound. That’s the only way I could describe it. Surreal and profound
That was so sad. I never seen him sad before 😢
I’m convinced Jim is ageless. He lives in his truth and madness and he sets himself free.
Adrenachrome.

As long as it's fun and not putting others in danger, it should be fine. When he goes out and leads campaigns against vaccines, I think it's no longer cute.
Kudos to Trevor for handling this interview so well. Just hanging on there with Jim Carrey's thought train, and making sense of it on the fly must've been really challenging.
This comment... yaaesss... much compassion, much respect.
I thought Jim Carey's behavior / statements made during THIS INTERVIEW were SOO MUCH MORE DOWN to EARTH & COHESIVE / LINEAR, EASY to FOLLOW than many of his OTHER RECENT "caught on camera moments / outbursts / ramblings" ..... Perhaps that's partly because THIS CONTENT was EDITED and Artfully Pieced Back Together ... removing the portions that might be less-flattering, or difficult to follow .... KUDOS to TREVOR NOAH for BEING a DECENT PERSON & Doing the RIGHT THING in this situation .... 👍👍👍
Jim Carrey saved my life. He has given me so much happiness and laughter that I am forever grateful.
“Heaven is as close as your own hands and feet” -Jim Carrey
Now that’s a powerful statement for everyone to hear!
40 years of study and I now teach folks how to re-connect to the field -the way we were connected as babies in a felt sense, The earth is holding us-we are not falling into the center of it- and the gravitation field is holding us to the earth -we are not floating away- We are nature and nature is us. As I breath in nature breaths out etc . Our collective numbness will kill us all. Wake up! For your own sake. life is fab
Wow Jim Carey. Tough to interview him, he reminds me Robin Williams, another level. Legends
I am reminded of Robin Williams and Jonathan Winters together on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. There is one point at which Carson basically throws his hands in the air realizing he had no control over what was going on.
No kidding. So much genius.
True! Let's just hope that he doesn't take R.W. path.
@@audiwankenobi361What does that have to do with Jim Carrey? Jim Carrey is a positive man. He'll live as long as he can.

My guess is that Jim Carrey got enlightened. That's why most people have a hard time trying to understand him. Those who don't get him (the majority) simply, cowardly, and comfortably rule him out as crazy.
I hope Jim Carrey is doing the audiobook for this. That was truly enjoyable.
I would love to buy Jim Carrey's book cause he makes me laugh soo much, Jim Carrey is hilarious an soo funny, I love alot of his movies 😂😂😂

Oh yes.
I love how Jim Carrey assumes everyone is just as intellectualy capable as he. It's very endearing
With much respect i most say what he is taking about it has nothing to do with IQ, when you become more connected with one self or with your deep level of awareness which we all have, it was given to us, and its only when you quiet your mind and the world around you. Then you come to realized what he is really talking about. I say all this by my own experience. Peace and love to you and the world.

I like to believe that but also understand if it's a sort-of prop. Like he has a nicer property and on it he has an apartment modeled after whom he was before striking it rich. I totally understand what Jim meant when he mentioned Tom Cruise cause there’s just something about that guy that seems like he’s always trying to figure ppl out. Must be due to all the Scientology mumbo jumbo he’s into.
The better you know someone the easier it is to either control them or not allow them to control you.

Oh, for sure. Dude’s looking for ways and methods to make his “religious” narrative ring true for himself. Scientology is absolutely bonkers, albeit extremely interesting. How so many people were/are caught up in it is vastly informative while being completely mysterious.
I am not a big fan neither anti, but the few bits i saw of him in interviews, it sort of seems to me, he is just assuming the same stare everyone is having when meeting him - i guess a lot of "stars" meet that sort of stare and everyone deals differently with it. It is probably the most powerful way to throw people who are insecure how about to deal with him off balance (when you're also as insecure ^^)

Shedding the bullshit
People are not so keen to shed all the bullshit they have accumulated.
The image. The reputation. The opinions. The viewpoint. The politics. The money. The possessions.
However, the very things that we hide behind and cling to so desperately are the very things that blind us from reality.
You don’t empty the mind just to lobotomise yourself; it’s not mindlessness.
You empty it so that it can be refilled by what you’re experiencing. It’s empty of the chatter, it’s empty of the neurotic anxiety, it’s empty of preconceived notions, it’s empty of opinions, it’s empty of politics, it’s empty of social conventions, and if you empty your mind of all that, it’s a cleansing process.
Then you can allow it to be filled by the true experience of what you’re doing.
The expressions on Noah’s face are absolutely precious you can tell how mesmerized he is. I would be in such shock I would be stuttering constantly. Noah you’re killin it bebe

@@lilyrhode5186 He's got such a great voice. I'm going really slow, because it's so DENSE!
Jim Carrey seems like he used to be a phase in his life where he realized the Truman Show was real and now he’s in a space where he’s waiting for all of us to realize that it’s real too....
I do believe he did and is, yeah.
I'm interested to know what you mean? I'm abt to go watch the truman show since you said this cos I wanna know wym 🤣
@@itsjusttoya1524it will make u rethink reality like the matrix did
@@itsjusttoya1524 watch it. it's good. for real
@@auntymammalia9384 I just watched the trailer and I am so pissed at myself for not even knowing abt this! I love Jim Carrey and movies like this, why am I only finding it now smdh
"Too small a piece of who you are." That resonated with me.
He’s been a searcher and that’s a difficult path. Finding authenticity within takes work.
This reminds me of RuPaul's famous saying... "we're all born naked and the rest is drag". Can't wait to get a copy of the book.
Crazy that Jim Carrey is educating the same people he made laugh when they were young children.
Hes an icon for millennials
Educating on what? How vaccines cause autism and other lies?
@Nina Pulley Except for the part where it isn't true, and the part where it doesn't reflect reality, and the part where the man who performed the "study" lost his medical license and was found to have financial motivation for lying, and the part where no science shows a causal link between vaccines and autism, nor can any science find a mechanism by which vaccines cause autism.
Other than the fact that the only "evidence" besides the debunked study is idiot parents who don't understand that correlation is not causation, which is why they don't have science degrees...
Autism symptoms tend to present at the same age that vaccines are administered.
Don't administer the vaccines, and the symptoms will still present at the same time, plus your child can now die of measles.
Yes, my mistake, not a lie. How could I have missed it?
These two men give me hope for humanity in this time when I’ve had so much doubt that it’s still there. Thank you.
Humanity is a human thing!
Trevor's face when Jim Carrey acknowledges him... :) You do great job, Trevor!
This was a stellar interview with Jim Carey. I'm not sure how, since Trevor seemed so uncomfortable and seemed to struggle in guiding the interview. But that's Jim Carey in a nutshell. He doesn't corral well.
I like how Trevor handled this interview though, he asked all the right questions to keep Carrey on track (because he tends to go off on tangents), but also gave him the space and time to get his point across and let Jim be Jim. Carrey is truly one of kind person. Love him.
I thought Trevor was in awe.
Nah i think trevor carried this interview well
This is a new side of Jim that I am seeing. I love how he sounds very meta and how do I put it "out of this world"? Really gets you to think waaaay out of the box.
The way he talks about his brother brought tears to my eyes. I wish at some point I could speak so eloquently about my siblings and that when I am no longer here they would speak of me likewise.
Beautiful, beautiful, interview. Jim Carrey seems to be willing to go into unsafe places, self-investigate and then share his findings, pointing in the direction to the playful, fun, ever-unfolding, ungraspable reality. The portion of the interview where he talks about the experience of non identity to a particular self and the dedication of the book to his brother are-for lack of better words-simply beautiful.
And thank you, Mr. Noah, for the amazing interview. You are getting to be one of the best interviewers of the day. Congratulations for your non-stop, fantastic made-at-home show. Kudos!
Laser Jack Lightning... this man is legend!!!
I mean Jim.
I'm so sorry for Jim Carrey losing his brother. Made me tear up when he talked about him.

"it's too small, no matter how big this elvis inside us gets...it's too small to represent who you are" JIMMMMM i love you.
I thought Jim Cerrey just another normal comedian when he is famous, I didn't know he is such a talented man
Talented painter as well. Check out "I needed color" here on RUclips.
I understood everything he said while simultaneously being confused 😆 Weird feeling right there lmao I'm definitely picking up his book.
He’s just pointing to what you already know, knew and have forgotten. Your timeless, formless, wholeness, that transcends your body and personal identity.
@@ordinaryguy815 perfectly (and imperfectly!) stated! 😘
Yeah, you captured the same thing I'm feeling watching this.
Yes, fiction is the best way to tell the truth without offending too many self-righteous moral defenders.
Sometimes you cannot tell the lines between reality and fiction.
Reality can be stranger than the weirdest fiction.
That was just the other you been aware, like he said we all have that level of awareness, once we remove all distraction and quiet our minds.
Jim’s been committed to transcendental meditation for years and he himself in this interview speaks of an awakening he had while playing Andy Kaufman in “Man on the Moon.” His work over the years has pointed to his own personal growth, seen at times through the personas he has portrayed on the big screen. Carrey shares snippets of an esoteric world that entheogenic shamans and great yogic siddhis have attested to. I admire this man so, for his humility, his perseverance, and for his ability to walk the line, while overcoming the stigma in the public eye.
He should sit and chat with Russell Brand.
I love Jim Carrey, he’s a great comedic actor an underrated dramatic actor, and overall he’s just honestly an interesting person.
"Nothing is true, everything is permitted."
"eagle sound and suddenly a haystack near you is moving"
I watch this dudes whole catolog. Thank you.
Jim Carrey's an assassin.
There is no truth there is only perception. Comedians are able to communicate to the hearts and soul of humanity.
"The burden of their own construct"
I love this man.
WOW TREVOR! THIS IS THE RAWEST I'VE EVER SEEN JIM. THANK YOU.
I really like Jim's philosophy of everything being connected to everything... He is as good a man and as good a thinker as he is an actor!
Doesn't sound crazy at all. He sounds like he figured out who he is and realized how much of a self constructed illusion we are. I wish I were that free.
Agree with you!
@MsEmpowered Life uumm, ok
Jim Carrey makes me laugh even when he’s not trying to!
LOL! His facial expressions are phenomenal!
And make us cry immediately when he wants us to.
