I am shocked at the many negative comments. I think Elizabeth was smitten by the friendship of this person. She wasn’t the first person who was deceived. Four other women fell for the lies. When Angelo put her in the hospital it /she / he made sure Elizabeth couldn’t be alone and interviewed by doctors etc. Angelo on the other hand tells the emergency workers it was Elizabeth who had stabbed it/she/he. Very telling. I feel the doctors could have seen the strange behaviour of the partner by not calling an ambulance when Elizabeth had supposedly fell off of a horse. Elizabeth couldn’t get a break. Horrible sad lessons to be learnt from this case.
This sick dance of domestic abuse is all too real. Not many people understand how it works and judge victims. If this precious woman did not defend themself she would have been murdered. I recall studying victimology, and most murders are killed by someone close to them.

They can make you anything, a millionaire, a secret agent, a war hero… so long you have your story straight, have someone to back you up, and maybe can show some evidence… you can become whatever you wish to be. Elizabeth was initially abused by Angelo , the man she loved ,but, chose to cover up fir him thinking he wld change . He continued to give her more beatings ( black eye n bruises ) she still tolerating the more abuses coming , lied to her family . She didn't mind at all to get all the abuses fr the man she loved . I knew a few if my relatives suffer such treatment n no chance to leave n bcis of love for the husbands too . That is why I said why some women deserved it . . .lip service is not important n nobody deserves abusive behaviour fr the spouse u think u love . I hope u think why Elizabeth finally cannot tk it n killed Angelo with a knife ? She worried for her life too asking her bro to tk away the weapons fr her possession? Then ,she still chose to be with Angelo ?
