So basically it's just the Twin Snakes treatment but without the nonsense changes to the story. Unlike the RE remakes where there's value to playing both games especailly RE4 back to back. I think it's fine. It will not be as interesting as the RE remakes and it will not be able to stand with modern stealth games, (more like the one or two stealth games still around). For a new team that doesn't have a grasp on things, this is the safe option so I can even understand why they don't have any confidence to change anything. But playing RE4 then RE4R back to back was one of the greatest gaming expereinces in recent years and it is a shame that the remake of the other GOAT third person game from the 6th gen isn't going to capture that feeling.
Honestly if its not broken dont fix it, Im glad its staying faithful, my hope is that they eventually put out MGS6 when they realize people WANT more metal gear. 5 is such an ahead of its time game that got a ton of hate when it was a phenomenal game just with some really critical issues with the story.

I think the mgs3 hd version on ps3 was the best mgs game. Mgs3 was amazing it just had some issues that were mostly cleared up on the hd remake. anybody who loves the game, won't care about anything they change as along as they don't remove anything. if i can play it, classic, original static cam and play the game knowing everything with no exceptions, then i don't care if they introduce new control schemes or optional mechanics. i don't care. if they change things and make it upsetting/confusing, it will ruin the original vision. they intent on showing the best of the best in the best way possible and by the sounds of it they are doing it out of love. add new mechanics or whatever, just make 2 seperate game types, new-age and Classic. besides, for a PC, it would be nice to have some intuitive controls since the Analogue function isn't friendly with WASD controls (for those sections where specific angles must be maintained. if they want to ADD anything, go for it, just be sure to allow seperate instances of the game type... like Alert Mode being 1 2 or off for the games duration. difficulty which changes enemy stuff... if you wanted to you could add new controls or things to the game with little to no backlash. i want the Nightmare Sequence too. same game. same style same everything... even same resolution. that'd be fun. i want the myriad of Codecs and hints and radios and music. i want everything to remain in the game. AND i want the DLC too. yeah, PS2, MGS3, has DLC. even MGS2 had DLC (i'm sure). it's camo, but it's worth it. i think they do nothing but they're unique and fun to see snake being serious while dressed like a mummy.

They could have kept the key areas in the game, but made them larger. This way it doesn't mess with the story, because the key areas are still present. Can even keep the loading screens, as they wouldn't be as annoying if the areas are larger in general. But keeping everything identical is a missed opportunity imo.
7:32 Gotta say, I appreciate the professional and respectful way he's addressing the customers' concerns. He's not calling us a bunch of spoiled manbabies or -ists or -phobes. That's nice.
He really should be.
Snake walking animation like 80 old man wtf?
I hope Master Collection 2 will include MG Ac!d and Ac!d 2.
And Portable Ops, I hope.
I really hope they improved the enemy soldiers AI to compensate the new gameplay mechanics.
That’s my main concern all I care about is a dumb easy Ai
Okamura said that enemy behavior has been tweaked to compensate the new gameplay
@@JustxLiving909 It's been said they are tweaked and other stuff is going to be put in for balance with the new mechanics. MGS3 is only outdated in terms of movement and gameplay, which is a simple fix.
my biggest concern Is, is there going be a censorship or character design change like the boss or Eva to not offend anyone like how the team over silent Hill 2 remake has done
One of the best metal gears EVER CREATED
Shouldnt be able to get thermal goggles until after the end. It breaks the fear and the end fights
I believe that if the producers went updating or keeping the original. There will be criticisms anyway, so let's pray that they just recreate it!
I'm curious to see snakes torture scene. And his jump off the waterfall
All the same people crying about this being too faithful to the original were the same people crying that FFVII Remake and Rebirth were too different.
Graphics aren't the reason keeping people from playing the original.
I played the original, again, for the 30th time a few months back and it still looks great.
Why they're not using this opportunity to remove the limitations that existed due to hardware limitations is beyond me.
Massive ball drop.
It looks absolutely beautiful. It’s exactly what I was hoping for. I’m FUCKIN ready dude!
I hope that they keep mostly to the original, idc about "modern stealth games" even if it is outdated. I seriously when they stated they were going to add some "extras", I want it to be that they improve or even expand most of the areas to make it bigger and somewhat new for us diehard fans.
For me the ideal extra content would be it's very own version of the VR missions and boss rush.
@samuelantoniocastillomeza5034 not a bad idea to be honest
Not giving Hideo Kojima his credit is a bad way to go if you want to recreate Metal Gear Solid...
Were Back Once Again Snake 🐍 Yeeeaahhhhh
Only complaint is I wish they would’ve added 3rd person perspective when crawling through tall grass etc. Loved the camo incentive and would love to see it in action like a “when you see it” moment. Still getting it tho!
Nah keep it first in tall grass like OG. You have to obstruct your vision in the name of stealth there.
@@chazo1367 I can respect that perspective!
@@teawithTrees Sorry for the later reply. Other stuff going down. What I like about it is that it forces you to disadvantage yourself whilst giving yourself an advantage, you are hard to see, but you also have trouble seeing through the foliage, it makes a more interesting choice of if you should hide in the grass or find a easier to view area.
I feel that with the whole zone loading thing, they could blend just text on screen to tell the player that they are transitioning to the next zone, that way it is less like waiting and more playing per se? close to how the resident evil 4 remake has been tackled?
It’s a shot for shot remaster. Of course they are mentioning Kojima. I predicted it will be out by Xmas. As you just confirmed they are putting final touches. People seem to think this is a ground up remake and they are going to be disappointed. It’s just a graphics shake up.
Do you think it will launch in December?
I think it will unless they find some massive bugs at this stage and have to delay. They said they don’t want to repeat the Mgs collection launch so makes sense why they are quite
@@scabo33they did say its currently perfectly playable from start to finish. I interpreted that as just final touches and optimization. Nothing game breaking i hope
Wack lowkey why even remake it honestly
@@JustxLiving909I saw a Reddit post where people are discussing if they are changing the ending when every single shot is the same as the original 😂
Also one thing, Were does the title card appear in the game? 🤔 the main menu?
I believe this game is in a good hand
Honestly if its not broken dont fix it, Im glad its staying faithful, my hope is that they eventually put out MGS6 when they realize people WANT more metal gear. 5 is such an ahead of its time game that got a ton of hate when it was a phenomenal game just with some really critical issues with the story.
If it makes you feel better, 5 has been getting a lot of love recently, I think a lot of the fanbase grew to appreciate it, especially when the twist of Venom is pretty much told to you when you wake up in the hospital.
I wish the resident evil 2 remake was faithful too, konami did the right thing
Game is coming out in 7 days. If im wrong... Ill be very sad. 😔
Why would you think that?
@@dissidentwolf5939 TGS. Let a man dream ok!?
Playing metal solid three right now
If the remade all mgs games with mechanics like 5 I could die a happy man
I think the mgs3 hd version on ps3 was the best mgs game. Mgs3 was amazing it just had some issues that were mostly cleared up on the hd remake. I see no reason to remake it, but there’s nothing wrong taking it to the future with the new engine and details. I might pick it up in a year once it’s cheaper and issues patched.
I cannot wait to play it. RELEASE DATE ?? 😭😭
I'd love them to redo guns of the patriots with Phantom pains mechanics and gameplay. If they could do Metal gear 1 and 2 also, id be in dreamland
I love the original voice acting but I would like to see an "accurate" version where they speak russian and english according to the game's lore.
I enjoyed the credit to kojima
Boss fight with The End is gonna be tough lol. Definitely won't be able to see him now, that directional mic will be NEEDED 🤣
As long as the song is in the game…that’s all I care about.
Is David Hayter still Snake?
all voice acting (probably music too) will be copy/paste directly from ps2 version.
I think I’ll wait for it to get discounted I don’t need to play it that much if it’s just a better looking version of the same game for the most part
anybody who loves the game, won't care about anything they change as along as they don't remove anything.
if i can play it, classic, original static cam and play the game knowing everything with no exceptions, then i don't care if they introduce new control schemes or optional mechanics. i don't care.
if they change things and make it upsetting/confusing, it will ruin the original vision. they intent on showing the best of the best in the best way possible and by the sounds of it they are doing it out of love.
add new mechanics or whatever, just make 2 seperate game types, new-age and Classic. besides, for a PC, it would be nice to have some intuitive controls since the Analogue function isn't friendly with WASD controls (for those sections where specific angles must be maintained.
if they want to ADD anything, go for it, just be sure to allow seperate instances of the game type... like Alert Mode being 1 2 or off for the games duration. difficulty which changes enemy stuff... if you wanted to you could add new controls or things to the game with little to no backlash.
i want the Nightmare Sequence too. same game. same style same everything... even same resolution. that'd be fun. i want the myriad of Codecs and hints and radios and music. i want everything to remain in the game. AND i want the DLC too.
yeah, PS2, MGS3, has DLC. even MGS2 had DLC (i'm sure). it's camo, but it's worth it. i think they do nothing but they're unique and fun to see snake being serious while dressed like a mummy.
It has a date on gamestop and amazon apps for 12-31-2024
Kojima deserves his name to be plastered everywhere
This games gonna slap ❤😊 cant wait !!
It’s not coming out this year , I see
Will we be seeing skull face though?!
The only thing new:
The graphics
The gameplay is also new, not just the graphics.
@@josephjoestar9616 Not entirely. Core gameplay seems to be the same, but I guess they made it easier to do all the tricks Snake can do with the glyphs, and they had to adjust for the fact that pressure-sensitive buttons don't exist anymore.
@@invisiiso The game is adapting a MGSV-like control scheme, has crouch walking, third-person aiming, has added quick-select for weapons and camos and codec calls to eliminate the need to use the main menu so often, they re-mocapped the cutscenes for english lipsync, and there are other changes we have yet to see. Iirc a Konami exec said they have planned to adjust the difficulty to prevent it from becoming a cakewalk like MGS3D could be at times (even despite that port running at a max of 20 fps).
@@IndyMiraaga Oh right, yeah. It's adapting MGS3D features too. I forgot...
@@invisiiso I think the camo quick-switching will be pretty revolutionary, even in Mgs3d you had to open a menu via the touch screen to switch camos and wait for them to load in, same for the codec.
Maybe original credits at the beginnings and the new ones at the end? Idk. As a gamer who has beat MGS3 on easy normal hard extreme and Europeans extreme in ps2. It really doesn’t matter to me. I just want MGS triangle
Sorry Kojima...but you made Death Stranding...so I'm gonna have to buy this. 😅
Geoffery from Indie gaming guild…..what’s up dude
The facial animations are from scratch and therefore has been remade.
I wanna see footage of The Sorrow and Volgin!
I think I've seen enough and they just need to release it.
The game has aim reticle when in 3rd person mode?
Would be great to get a new game in the series but don’t high hopes for that
I can't wait for guys that know mgs3 by heart to speedrun through the demo and almost finish the game
Maybe they can give us a finished MGS5
Let's F****** Go!
I really just dont want loading into a new area anymore and better ai that did already good with the fast cameo switch
Not giving Hideo Kojima is a bad way to go if you want to recreate Metal Gear Solid...
So it’s like Demon’s Souls Remake? That’s fine, I liked it. Not that I would complain if they did more.
Okay but the biggest question.......Will it have MGO? I would literally die happy if they remade MGO.
This seems just fine. The better camera and movement is the upgrades we needed.
Wait, is the narrator here the same guy who does lazy game reviews? He sounds exactly like him!
Release is near
We got to make this comment relevant! The running animation looks crappy! We need to make it look more realistic and more grounded please that's all we ask!
Can’t wait to play this on my PS5 pro
To the people who may have an issue with the game not having the "A hideo kojima game"
Remember that twins snakes didnt have it
So it's an 1 to 1 remake same games just nee graphic and small changes well good it's should be something a remake should be done
That makes it a remaster lmao...re2 is a great example of how a remake should be done....shouldn't be difficult for them to at least upgrade the enemy ai and movements just like mgsV
That's a remaster...re2 remake is a great example of how a remake should be...not upgrading the enemy ai and movements like in mgsV is just lazy
so the biggest change is its based
The first time metal gear solid 3 Snake eater .. it was a great game at that time what I see now is the same stuff from the old version it should change stuff around . More advanced of this game needs. To bring new players of the series in the old players back. But anyway they should make the game more are you phantom pain gameplay but anyway the new metal gear solid zero has new stuff into it not too much let's see what happens when it gets released AKA mgs1 I used to be my name online on metal gear solid Snake eater 3
Keep it 100% the same, forget the cry babies wanting a different game. They are not fans of the MGS series and are not gonna buy the game anyways.
People just wanna be upset so bad. I’m with you here. We want the same game just for next gen and this is what it is.
Nothing wrong with upgrading the enemy ai and movements like in mgsV...avoiding that is just being lazy
the game is being made again to bring in more audience, especially those who have never played mgs
@@williammora88 They have said the ai is being upgraded to compensate for the new mechanics, and difficulty in general is beefed up so you can't just cheese it. The story is the same (Why change perfection?) with the exception of some flashback stuff that uses copyrighted stock images and videos. Gameplayer is the change up, more MGSV style movement and shooting which fair is the best of the series and 3 is only outdated by gameplay mechanics. The best thing about the V gameplay is that we can CQC grab again without slitting the guards throat because no pressure controls, so we get the MGS4-5 version where it's a button press.
@chazo1367 we'll see when the game comes out if they truly made those changes...cause from what was shown, the movements, cqc, and enemy movements have not changed
I only played MGS1-3 this year. I think they hold up well, especially 3. It was just a fun experience. I'm not at all disappointed by their choice not to update the world design. Sure, some things about the areas not affecting each other don't feel "realistic," but it's a video game and I'd argue the Metal Gear series has never really been afraid of the fact that they're video games.
RE2 remake shows that by making everything flow smoothly going from 1 place to another is better than showing that loading screen everytime you go through a door...this is more of w remaster than a remake
@@williammora88 Eh not really, the difference here is that they'd have to model entire new areas for the areas to connect to, which will slow gameplay if it's just empty jungle and be annoying if full of enemies. Easier just to let it be traditional, really it's less than a second black screen before popping to the next area and the gameplay resumes.
@chazo1367 it's not going to slow down gameplay lmao. Have you not played mgsV and ff7 rebirth...each area in mg3 is not that big so no excuse on that
@@williammora88 Yeah it will. You'd have entire areas of empty jungle because no concepts to work from. The og game without all that already takes time to complete when going for certain ranks, it will just be unnecessary padding for something that is a non issue.
Just played MGS2 and MGS3... Reseting areas after walk in/out is tragic...
Despite being the same game in all aspects, they will not credit Kojima? That's so Konami of them.
They do credit him. The game just doesn't open with "A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME" anymore. He's still credited in the opening cutscene though, and probably other credits.
@@Dylan-xx2tk They said it's because of tradition. Kojima isn't personally directing stuff in this game in anyway, so it doesn't open with "A Hideo Kojima Game" the same as it was for Portable Ops, Acid 1 and 2, and Rising Revengance. It's just a thing they do.
@@chazo1367 I know, I read an article which covered the interview. You should be telling that to OP.
@@Dylan-xx2tk Oh sorry, clicked the wrong reply. x.x
@@chazo1367 No biggie. Hope you have a good day/night. ^^
There is not loyalty in this world as I see from fan base. Most of the commenters does not give a shit that game will not carry A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME instead planning to buy this game so the company that fired creator will earn some money again.
