Another lovely chilled camp Jason. Your Leave No Trace ethics are exemplary. I can’t remember seeing a tripod lashing demo on a YT bushcraft vid before - not easy but you nailed it. Thanks 👍
Hi Giles and thank you for such a lovely comment. Like yourself, I try to leave my camp location immaculate. I'll catch up with your latest tomorrow my friend (day off) 😀 Cheers mate 👍
Cracking camp Jason just shows it don’t have to be epic high climbs and big distances to have a great outdoor experience 🙏🏼😊 really relaxing to watch you forage for dead standing and make a tidy bush camp with a few basic tools 👍 super breakfast 👍 and when you struck camp no one would ever know. 🙌 very best wishes Simon 🙏🏼😊
Cheers Simon and many thanks for stopping by buddy 🙏 I really enjoy my little forest camps. Great for a quick outdoor fix. Love the epic hikes too, especially if I'm carrying less gear. I hope that you and the family are keeping well and I'll catch up with again soon mate. Atvb, J 👍
I felt my friend walking through the mud like a straw truck. Professional ^^ The idea of making chairs in the wild is a great idea. Thank you for inviting me to a wonderful place 😄. I subscribed...
I always enjoy seeing someone decamp in the spirit of respect and cooperation Jason. Nicely left behind mate. And what a cool little camp. It doesn;t take much to create a home from home. The chair turned out alright and the tarp tent is always roomy. Good going - all the best in Snowdonia. Mark
Many thanks, as always Mark 🙏Yeah, it doesn't take much effort to restore the camp back to nature as much as possible. I was well chuffed with how the chair turned out. It was a comfortable camp and thoroughly enjoyable. Recharged again now, for a while. Take care mate. Atvb, J 👍
Great use of the old hammock there Jason, very nicely setup and a nicely organised camp! The Ramson and Bluebell understory looked wonderful on the walk in.
Love your style Jason, super chilled, always an interesting location, no heavy traffic pollution in the background and good editing. I remember those sodding net chairs, always had a sore arse afterwards from the bottom rope cutting into your chaps or the cross beam, now I see the trick was to bring some ground mat with you lol. I had chairs millionaires half the time thank God, the old fold out, low to the ground brown chair, sodding thing was around during the battle of Thermopylae I reckon, Leonidas parked his arse in it no doubt. Onwards china.
Ah! Moose. Thank you for another really cool comment buddy 👌 Yeah, the hammock chair worked great in combo with the ground mat. I've stashed the tripod in the forest for a much quicker set up next time I want to use it. As always, many thanks for stopping by Moose. I hope that you are keeping well my friend. Take care and all the very best, J 👍
Nice one J, I've made a few of those chairs using different materials, blankets etc but the old hammock worked well 🙂👍. I've got one of those mesh hammocks somewhere myself. Be nice n cool in summer, the wool blankets nice in winter 👍. Great bit of quality bushcrafting J as always mate Atb Rick n Billy
Cheers Rick 👍 I remember watching you use a wool blanket. Great watch. I need to give that one a go at some point. Definitely a great idea for the colder months. Many thanks, as always Rick for stopping by. Appreciated mate. Enjoy the rest of the Easter holidays and I'll catch up with you again soon. Atvb, J 👍
Haven’t done a chair quite like that. I’ve always used 2 poles leaned against a tree. Your tripod is far superior. I always enjoy your posts, mate. Looking forward to the next one. 👍
Cheers Dean 🙏 I was really pleased with how it turned out 😀 Once the poles were prepped it was quite quick to set up, with the added bonus of being able to move it around camp easily. Thanks again mate. Hope you have a great weekend 👍
Really enjoyed watching this one again, Jason. Great bit of improvised chair building that too! 👍🏻 I’m still yet to do my first woodland camp, just scouting out my local surrounding area for a suitable location.. Look forward to seeing your next one in Snowdonia.
Cheers Mate 🙏 I'm really glad that you enjoyed it. Yeah, scouting out suitable areas is all part of the fun for me. Enjoy and I hope that you find yourself a decent spot. Atb, J 👍
Great natural camp. And again very well cooked on the hobo. I like you're tent. Looks good. Nice bushcraft video! ;) Have agreat sunday and greetings Marco & Racoon
Check Jay 🙏 It was a chilled out camp and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I need to showpiece the catty I got from you mate at some point. Awesome piece. Just need to get my eye in a bit more. Atb, J 👍
Loving the chair Jason, I may have to get myself a mesh hammock they look like they pack down small to just stuff in the bag,, Lovely woodland, reminded me of the old pine wood I use to have permission in.. Is that the Stanley folding frying pan? Looking forward to the snowdonia vid mate. Take care bud 👍🏻
Hiya Sonney mate. Yeah, the little mesh hammocks pack up really small and are quite lightweight. Probably only really any good for a chair or gear store under a regular hammock tbh. The pan is an MSR alpine fry pan. A really good bit of kit and I would totally recommend it. I'm just waiting on a new bit of gear to arrive to test in Snowdonia and then I'm off. Hopefully before the end of the week mate. Cheers, as always Sonney. Catch up again soon buddy. Atb, J 👍

Ha,ha. Cheers Mark mate 🙏 Unfortunately I'm well low down for the succession to the Throne, for King of the wood but it's all good fun. Love a bit of black pudding mate, especially if I've got a full English to go with it 😀 Take it easy bud and I'll catch up with you again soon. Atb, J 👍
Hi Buddy, you turned an ordinary camping trip into a glamping trip😎, what luxury you had with your well crafted chair! Love the tarp mate, looked solid, these days dont really need the old open fire when you can get so much flame from the bushbox there, a good choice in such a woodland, does it come with any accessories? Fantastic bit of greenery with the garlic and bells, we have the garlic but our bluebells wont appear till may. A good bit of therapy to watch, nice one, good scran and looking forward to Snowdonia👍 cheers mate.
Cheers Chris 👍 It was almost glamping for me mate 😀 It seems that more folk over here are moving away from ground fires in general but I still like to enjoy a good old proper campfire where it's suitable. My bushbox came with a couple of trivets and a small grill. You can use either with the trangia, which is great. Thanks again buddy for stopping by and commenting. I really do appreciate it 🙏
@@SandybackOutdoors I do enjoy a good old ground fire to, cheers for the info on the bushbox, it's a consideration for me, I bought the old firebox stove and I really think it's been my best purchase, but could always do with another😀 cheers mate.
