Can we appreciate the fact that he films in such a way that it seems like we follow him into the paths he takes.. but in reality he puts the camera in a place, walks away from it, AND walks back to get the camera back, and so on and so on.. so its 3X of hard work, just to give us a better watch experience.. this dude is awesome
I'm 15, but I really want to explore the world of camping. The freedom and the feeling of control intrigues me very much. I love watching your videos and the fact that you taught me those binding techniques make me very happy!
What I love about your videos is that your flow, angles, knowledge sharing, etc. all make sense and are well presented in a way that I don’t feel like you are “trying too hard”. Keep it up and be safe out there!
When you sucked on those fingers of raw pork and egg I thought..🤔 “WOW being eaten by wolves may be the least of his worries and thank God you have a SOS button 😂.
I mean, it's not like it's warm enough for bacteria to grow hahaha so long as he took it out of the vacuum sealed packaging from the fridge and put it straight into a sterile ziplock bag and kept it cold then it probably wasn't a big risk. but yeah, it'd suck ass to get the shits in the woods
@@Somerandom1922 You definitely have a point regarding the cold temps 👍. But, I still get the heebie-jeebies watching him suck on those raw pork juice laced fingers 🤣😳
@@Somerandom1922 This is incorrect. There is bacteria on cold food. The reason food lasts longer in the fridge is that the cold slows their growth. There is still bacteria on the food.
The sounds of the wood when you brake it and also the cooking sound of your skillet they are just so relaxing to me great job Mexican guy watching here.
I am still amazed at how you survive in the freezing cold when you go camping like that! Your definitely teaching me alot. As always thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing your next adventure! Rick From Virginia
I went winter camping once and it was the coldest I’ve ever been (BC interior in January)🥶🥶 your videos are so relaxing to watch and I love the different camera angles!
As a Marine, ski poles are what we used to pull ourselves out of the ice, when we did our cold water immersion drills in Greenland. Thanks for the video.
I've just discovered your channel and I absolutely love it. The serenity of environment, great narration and superb camerawork. And all that in crisp 4k. Thanks a lot!
Bro, found your channel last week and can't get enough! It's always been a lifelong dream of mine to move to Canada, and that dream will become reality for me next year. Your videos just get me more and more excited about the move- I can't wait to live this life. Your content is amazing mate, and an inspiration to me. Keep it coming!
I love woods during the winter, I live near the forest so I try to go every day or every two days for a minimum hour long hike. Now we have a spring so your videos are a Godsend when I miss my beloved winter. Plus there is something calming about your trips :) Love from Poland
I really like it when your brothers come with you you guys are very funny and I think you can do a full hour video the three of you can you guys are very entertaining! You do a great job bush crafting and I really like watching your videos so I subscribed! Can’t wait to see more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸
Thanks for the humor (build a spaceship, YES!!) and real life tips! Not enough Bush crafters or camping RUclipsrs cover it. In fact you're the only one! Do those small dehydrated wet wipes disintegrate over time? That would be a bonus for Mother Nature.
20min vids are awesome. I watch more of those than any 30+. Keep it up Xander. Also love to see you and Lost lakes together doing trips together more. Just got my gomboy240 and a new ferro rod. Practicing my bowdrill now. I also have a hot tent for winter but its a small military A frame and Ive buult the stove out of a 50cal ammo can. It works amazing.
Poop tips are priceless! Food looks great as always and your attitude about nature and camping ALONE makes me smile! Thanks! Keep up the good work and I look forward to your trips into space!
Killer video brother, well done as always! You're the only one out here talking about the real dangers of the wild too, that Loch Ness monster is always a threat...ALWAYS! Loved all the angles you captured and the transitions are smooth like butter, keep them coming!
Quite outstanding and funny this channel become my favourite RUclips notification. I keep it just before bed and this dude makes me feel comfy like a baby in a cradle. Remarkably outstanding. Great job\life.
Good idea to have mentioned that the branches you cut are dead branches and that they will not harm the tree. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't care about this detail :( They cut anything around them I did not know about the use of cattails! What a good idea! Beautiful setup, I can't wait for winter camping. In Quebec, it is still chilly fall, but snow is approaching!
In these times of frequent lockdowns and restrictions, it is so amazing to see someone out there just living it to their fullest with no red tape and protocols for a change. More power to you brother, hugs and regards from India. 🇮🇳
Hey man, I definately just binge watched EVERY single one of your videos in 2 days. I love your content, please keep up the good work. You definately earned my subscription to your channel.
My man, it's insane to how many comments you reply. I just found your channel, I am 10 videos deep by this point now. Love the work you put into all these videos. You bring so much equipment with you so I can be happy watching a 4K drone shot of a lake you are camping at. It's absolutely nuts and I love it so much. You are always telling a visual story in every video and I am a big fan of that.
New sub!!! Lovin the future plans for the channel. I hope you build a spacecraft big enough to take some subscribers with you! Keep'em coming!! YEA BUDDY!!!
Hi Xander , you did pretty well in fact. In winter , on snowshoes , you can expect to travel 2 k an hour if the trail is packed. If you travel in deep snow and you had a hill to climb, your rate can go as down to 1k per hour with the sled . Thats the way I calculate the time required to go from A to B . Travelling in winter in a remote area means you must be extra careful not to hurt yourself or get to tired to be able to go throught a cold night. Thanks for sharing , alway's fun to hit the woods with you
Thanks for all the info! I wasn't sure if it was a good run or no. It definitely felt tough. Yes for sure I'm definitely fairly risk averse so I'm pretty careful. Cheers my friend
brittle & dead branches removed from a good live tree is called 'Thinning' a beautiful pristine area to hunker down for a good rest. What was the brown topped stem you picked & later broke it down to look like a ball of fluff to lite fire? just pretty. Absolute peacefulness to reset the soul & mind - so so nice. love your bucket list, good luck & travel safely.
I watch a TON of these deep woods camping videos and as someone who has worked along transmission lines that are usually 2 hrs from the nearest bathroom you nailed the poop tips. No one likes pooping in the pouring rain in the woods but what is worse is having residual poop in ur rain paints or residual urine in your rain suit for the rest of the work day :P .
Another wonderful video, Xander. I never knew there was a tablet that becomes a wet wipe 🙂 Amazing to see the beautiful places you go and the adventures you have there. Peace 🌟💯
You're the only one who asks to hit the subscribe button past the middle of the video, nice for a change. After a poop tip, epic ! The tree method works best if you don't want to repeat your China trip adventure. Fun video !!
