More than half the money that is earned from this drum solo video has always been shared with Dylan.
Wow.He looks so relaxed and fluid. So fantastic at his craft.
the most talented people are usually the ones that aren't known... THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE MADE FAMOUS!
I'm a classically trained percussionist of 20+ years; this guy is the "real deal". A lot of "sick drummers" I've seen on youtube aren't that impressive if you have any idea about what's going on. But this guy's got chops. His trad + wristwork is topnotch. It's hard enough playing complicated styles on a marching snare -- it takes a ton of skill to do it on an entire drum kit. Awesome!
Man, when he finished I found my self clapping hands... That was AWESOME!
Been playing off and on for 20 yrs, think it would take another 20 lifetimes to get anywhere near this guy, obviously a blessed soul who was granted an almighty gift, go for it bro your the light!!
Best street drummer I've ever seen, for sure.
He's definitely ONE of the greatest drummer in the world...
Congratulations!!!! This is a beautiful and amazing solo of the drums...!!!!!
I could only imagine the high you got! love this drummer, thank you.
WOW, I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING SO AMAZING IN MY LIFE, WONDERFUL
Amazing feel for time. Freaking speed and precision. Just awesome dude!
Nice groove, nice touch, nice showmanship- good, man. Very, very good.
Excellent sticking, leading to an economy of motion. No flailing of the arms or beating the gear to death. The stick tricks are great. Someone needs to hire him for big money. (maybe they have) AWESOME talent!
Oh man, it´s so incredible your technic to play drum, I´m from Brasil and over here we got a infinity of rithms, I like the way that you introduce the rithms without lose the time....at 02:56 is like a samba...I hate samba ( I love Rock n´ Roll, Progressive, Blues, Jazz and Metal) but I really liked the way that you played.
Congratulations and remember that this gift is God whom gave to you.
Traditional grip too.... Amazing.
Wow, world class.. Jeesus... give that guy a contract..
It blows my mind how great Dylan Elise is.
you have God given talent, i hope you succeed with your passion
This sounds a little stupid, but he reminds me a little of Buddy Rich, who I saw live twice. Has the grip and the attitude about hands, and the fluidity.
The last time I saw that was the drummer who was playing with Maynard Ferguson a billion years ago, who was super hip at that time when I saw them live, but had the Rich influence.
Anyway, the only thing that matters is that I enjoy this drummer. Just surprised by his influences and style. Don't see that much for guys his age, and also pulling it off in the street with young people watching. I wish him the very best.
by far the best drummer ive seen on youtube
This guy is very impressive at what he does, with that said i've heard drummer's that are slower, less flashy, no tricks and I like there style and feel better. Music is so dependent on taste.
when you can give joy to other people then you are blessed.
THe Guy is darn good...one of the best.
I love the blonde cheerleader that is just starring at him the entire time. she be like, "Wannna fuuucckk"
One of the sickest drummers ever! Incredible!!!!
i would love to see him on a larger kit. this is awesome
One man Army, I mean band!! Bruce Lee of drumming!!
Looking forward to welcome Dylan Elise to the WORLD YOUTH JAZZ FESTIVAL (WYJF) 2013 from 3-5 May 2013. Check out the whole program at the WYJF 2013. We are going to have a ball!!! SORAK!!!
My husband (who is shit at lots of things but an astonishing drummer) pointed out a lot of things there that I would never have noticed otherwise but am now officially impressed by. He says there aren't many drummers who can produce such an intricate sound whilst playing that fast without much apparent effort, and that if you listen closely this dude keeps time correctly and doesn't speed up like most people would. He says for anyone interested I should mention Omar Hakim, Stu Richie and "uuh... that dude who used to be Frank Zappa's drummer whose name I can't remember. Or spell. ...Vinnie Coprolalia, that's the one. I think. It might be Coprophilia."
@roupher This 'gift' is talent. He practiced enough to be able to play this amazingly. He didn't randomly sit on a drum set and throw down a beat, he took his time and effort to produce this skill. To call it a gift is saying he didn't work for what he earned and achieved. Give some respect, man.
He's the best I've ever seen!
the kid is playing traditional grip and everything...great skills sir!
AMAZING ! ! ! SIMPLY AMAZING ! ! ! Congrats Dylan ! ! !
This was pretty sick. Love his hand speed.
excellent and love the trick stuff as well- outstanding!
Check out his 10 minute drum solo at the Montreal Jazz festival! OMG! Tremendous!
Who else was waiting for Technoviking to randomly walk by?
with his talent he could learn death metal just like that and tear it up!hes gifted look how he works the sticks unreal and the pace at which hes going!never seen this sort of shit before!
man this is what i love for a drum solo, the sick beats in which you can actually dance your ass off lol
Bad ass man!
Better than AWESOME. That's a tired word from a guy who once upon a time, during my teen years, TRIED to sound that good. Buddy Rich taught me to love the drums. This young man IS THE DRUMS. Great future...stay young. RIPPIN is in your blood.
Very good. Thanks for posting
Besides his obvious natural talent as a drummer, he must have spent a LOT of hours practicing his skill, and twirling the drum sticks. I've watched several of his videos, and only noticed ONCE where he actually lost control of a stick, which he recovered almost instantly, and never lost a beat.
Damn. Just damn. Really really nice.
Im really feeling the groove bro probably racked up 300 dollars that night
The best ANZ add ever
LOL
The wacky beat he does the first couple of minutes is ridiculous! Thanks for
posting these videos.
Soooo fucking awesome!

I agreed with Austin Koch. If you look very precisely she's whispering/talking to her friend's ear. Her head is turn, and the girl is talking.

Great drumming and pretty cool little kit he's thrashing around on too!
World's greatest ? Not by a long shot, but he's still awesome!
He is now officially my idol besides, Shigeru Miyamoto. I have two different sides and the musical one has just lifted UP!
DAMN!!... THAT FINAL SHOWDOWN WAS AWESOME!!.. :D
this dude is legit!! he might not have the cleanest chops but hes fast, powerful, and can do stick tricks like no other. he could probably win the guitar center drum off. no doubt
he went from a group of 10 people to 60-80 people surrounding him in less than 6 minutes
Increible...!!!
thought these girls were going for it at 3.17 hahaha
Holly crap I found waldo
what a cute little drum kit!
very impresive!
AMAZING!!!!!!!
Nice flips and throws too.
Ah, Pro Mark American Hickory 5B's...Those sticks are not easy to play fast with let me tell yah!
The two girls that randomly start making out lol
Unbelievable! Amazing technical skills! It's a great drum solo no doubt, but to label someone as the "World's Greatest" drummer because he can do great solos is quite a stretch! Could someone with this style get a better feel, sound and groove than Charlie Watts does with The Stones for example? I think Keith Richards would highly disagree with anyone who would say yes. Not knocking this guy at all, but the world of drumming is far more complex than lots of speed, fast beats and stick twirling.
Holy shit that guys incredible !!
I wouldn't say he's the best, but he's still pretty amazing!! If he had a bigger set, he would be sooo insane!!! Omg he's sick!! \m/
Jojn Riley,Billy cobham, steve smith, jeff tain watts, brian blade, trilok gurtu, ..... I could go on all day.
This guy gives 100% every second.
So, at about 1:28 I noticed myself talking to myself going "whatthefuck..." this guy is nuts.
Impressive!

FKIN AMAZING.
Looks like he's playing a Taye Go Drum Kit. It ain't a cheap kit for what it is, especially since he added those add on toms.
so fucking amazing!!!!
