You've got me back on the mighty trent Kev, after a very long absence. Life got in the way...Nice session, think I may visit that one, fairly soon. Used to fish trent Bridge, like you back in the early eighties as a kid.
Really enjoyed watching this.Has inspired me to get down on the Thames with the float rod instead of my barbel rods and the tip rod. There has been a resurgence of roach throughout the river.Only last week I has a 1.12 and I lost two fish that felt much bigger on 6mm pellets.
Hi Neil, excellent news about the Thames and quality Roach, let us know how you get on with your float tactics. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment 👍🎣
@@nottsfishingkbtv402 wmWe will see how it goes next week. I should have a day free before Jen and I head for france. I’m certainly not the most proficient of float anglers so I can see it going horribly wrong lol
Hi Kevin. I just recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying your videos. I like the action of the float rod in this video. Could you please tell what it is? Cheers, John

@@nottsfishingkbtv402 I like 0.6 max 0.8 to a 24 B510, no droppers within a foot of the hook. We are trying to fool crafty roach not carp in a puddle 👍
Great fishing and a wonderful video, I have done a fair bit of river fishing On hemp and tears this year but on each occasion I have problems with Pike, did you experience anything like this. Thanks Kev.
"Cormorants have eaten all the Roach", it seems not! Great to see "proper" fishing on the Trent again.
Smashing session,lovely day,plenty fish.Well done.

Was it around 18lb?
@@nottsfishingkbtv402 yes mate it was 17lb 6oz and is still my p b till this day
Is there a day ticket for that if so do you get it on the bank and whats the location
Midland AC road stretch, day ticket on the bank,,between Hoveringham & Caythorpe 🎣
5lb mainline and 4lb hooklength? I wouldn't have the confidence to fish this heavy on stick or waggler.
This is to land any occassional river monsters that can show up. I would fish lighter in a match.
