Chad Reed Blitzing The Whoops On A 85cc!!

  • Sometimes, the best way for the kiddos to learn is by watching- in this case, Chad had to hop on Tate's 85 SX Bike to show him how hitting whoops should be done! No matter the bike, the concept is the same, so demonstrating that to him was beneficial for him to know that he's more than capable of blitzing through them, just like Chad in his prime!
Welcome to TwoTwoTV! We're the Reeds. Chad Reed is a multi-time Supercross and Motocross champion and the record holder for the most main event starts in AMA Supercross history, with 265 starts! After recently retiring it is time for us to start the next chapter in our lives and we've decided to bring everyone along for the ride with us on our new RUclips channel The Reeds!

It's amazing to see these parents working so well with these kids. Some people would think Chad's being hard on his children. I want everybody to realize sports dangerous and he just wants things done right for the safety of his child. He's not being hard. He's being protective. I think they're doing a great job. Whoops are hard. He'll get them soon if he listens to his father

I'm an old man now but growing up as a kid the whoops were always my favorite, it takes serious contentment.. I think whoops are the only section of any track I've never bailed... And I agree about their parenting..🤙

I DO LOVE how Chat teaches his offspring how to do the whoops or rollers or bumpy section of a Supercross track but getting further on his been a so important corner stone building up commitment and courage to face not ONLY just woops but ALLLL the oncoming challenges holds by any human life.
Chad reminds me the way My dad and a friend, a motocross rider, tough me the basis of how to ride a dirt bike. I'm proud of You BEAUTIFUL an obey good son Tate. ❤😍😱😋👍🏻

Tate, I am SUPER impressed with your attitude and level of maturity when it comes to accepting coaching and constructive criticism. Lord knows it’s not always easy. Most 13 year old boys, including me back in the day, would’ve turned into a miserable excuse machine. You are already wise enough to listen and contemplate everything your dad is saying. That is such a huge and unique asset. Keep up the great riding!
P.S., everything your mom said was spot-on and perfect, in my humble opinion. Keep shredding, you’re on your way!

It is fun watching your progression!! Keep it up!!

@tate YOU ARE RIPPING DUDE! Seriously, I've watched this channel for years because we love your family vibe (and of course watching dad for 20 years). Your progression is massive for the short time you've been serious and as far as being hard on yourself....IMHO that's how you get better as long as you don't get yourself too down which is bad!
Being a bit hard on yourself drives your motivation to get faster.
BTW you'd already smoke me haha!

“I’m not mad at you but I’m going to require you to do it the correct way”. That was powerful, as I have a 13 year old playing football who loves what he does but seems to rush his mechanics and technique. Often times I get into it too much and have to remind him like Chad did with Tate, that I’m not mad at him but if going slower means learning how to do it correct then that’s the path we will go. Long time 22 fan, you guys are amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing! 😊

Watching Ellie help keeping things in perspective for Tate while empowering him to do better but also reflect on the achievements already conquered is not just parenting, but leadership and proof she was Chad rock through his career. If it was easy everyone one would be doing it. There is a reason why you have pro riders and amateur riders that never make it pro. It’s hard it’s a lot of sweating and grinding, doing the same thing over and over again until you nail it. You’ll get it kid just keep pushing and listening to your dad. There’s a reason why he was as great as he was, he didn’t just jump on a bike and became a champion. It’s a grind and you’ll get it you guys are definitely putting the time in for sure. Keep that positive outlook and grip it and rip it brrrrraaaappppp.

I remember feeling like the dads where saying you better beat that kid hahahaha that being said I had an amazing mother who worked her ass off so I could race, great parenting and schooling with the kids guys so amazing to watch that stuff and I'm 31 years old and it speaks to me😅 love yall and God bless

gah I love watching Chad making sure his son learns how to hit whoops the correct way so when he comes into his first 250 SX race he will be so fast at them and not look so sketchy. Cause a lot of the 250 riders are very good everywhere else but the whoops. They loose so much time and can’t make the time up cause they struggle thru them.

Mom and Dad are always instructing you to form good habits, muscle memory if you will, and to get the most out of the bike, to keep you safe, and grow your speed, one step at a time, that flows into one section at a time. As long as the racing dream is coming from you, and you want it, you have the best coach around! As you grow you're going to develop your own personality on the bike, your own style, just know that when you hit that point, give dad a huge thank you for giving you the best chance to succeed by teaching you the foundation you are going through. Just remember, the dream has to be yours, and if it is, you will be a winner. And stay on those 2 strokes as long as possible, because they won't tolerate laziness like the 4 strokes do. :)
