Absolutely! In Michigan, smoked whitefish dip is loved by all up here. So a lot of the kids wouldn't think twice about digging into another kind of fish dip. Especially in summer when they're just out the lake swimming and starving! Lol What's on the table goes fast!
I make a similar salmon dip. I use 1/2 mayo and 1/2 cream cheese plus 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, a teaspoon of lemon juice and a little minced dill. I always have to make a double batch and I add 1 small can of sliced black olives. The olives give it a slight salty taste. This is great on a rye cracker or rye toast. For a crowd, I decorate the bites with the olives, instead of stirring them in. My kids love them (If I grate in the onion).

My grandchildren nor my children would eat that but I would. I make salmon dip, I put mayo, mustard and dill pickle relish and some seasoning. Yum!

I made this for myself using pink salmon I found at Dollar General (single serving) I served it with a martini (or two 😉) Thank you so much! It was very good! 🙂
I added a 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and a little black pepper.

I can’t stand all the flies in the kitchen either! I also think that salmon dip looks delicious and might even be good with a pinch of smoked paprika and maybe a Tbs of sour cream and/or cream cheese. You should get Michael the Bug a SALT gun. Instead of the fly swatter, it is a gun that shoots salt at the flys. Stops them dead in their tracks and is fun. No flys in my house! ;)
