i have the lense that came with the orginal camera it only lets me go as far as f3.5

yes, you'll need one. The HDMI on your Mac M2 is for output only.

Do you talk about how to blur the background in your video?

Here's the cliff notes version of how to get a blurred background:
1. bring your f-stop as low as possible. In the GoBox Studio kit, you can get it down to F1.4
2. get as much space between you and your backdrop as possible, 3+ meters is good.
3. get as close to the camera as possible 1 meter is good.
That should do it!
