Ryan Coogler (The Director) and the rest of the cast and crew, put in a lot of hard work to make this film great and successful. Knowing that, they *deserve* everything they worked hard for and more. Couldn't be happier for them. Congratulations 👏👏

If that's the case then it is not a great movie, since great movies are supposed to transcend time, race, culture, etc. You don't have to be Jewish to appreciate Schindler's list or a black gay person to understand the beautiful message of Moonlight.
Loved the movie but I feel it’s getting a lot more appreciation due to representation than quality! It’s an 8.5 out of ten for me but I don’t wanna lie about a movie in an objective way! If you white and you don’t think the movie deserves an award does that make your a racist? I don’t think so.
Funk O'Matic you have said a lot there, I’ll do my best to answer as much as I can but when it comes to critics, they don’t always have the same view of movies that fans do and that gap as dramatically increased over the years as less movies that are loved by fans are not always loved by critics. In relation to black panther it made tons of cash of 1.3 billion which is mega bucks but a lot of white people went to see that movie and a lot of celebrities of color spent a lot of money renting out theaters so children who don’t have money can see it and be inspired. I agree with you that the Oscars do get it wrong and have so for many years! The issue I have with BP getting nominated is that in my opinion it’s a top ten movie in the MCU but the movies i believe to be better would never get nominated because it doesn’t have the same social significance as BP! Which is my issue with the academy more than BP as I believe in the best movies over the social significance!
One thing I notice about racist people. They hate whenever we use the word 'black'. They hate seeing it too. They hate the show Blackish and Black Panther. They hate Black History Month. It drives them. As soon as we speak about being black they get fired up. I love it.

All of the stars of the movie look so healthy like they get a lot of sunlight and healthy natural foods AND SUNLIGHT.
Black Panther is a FANTASTIC movie that was suppose to be just another comic book hero character hitting the big screen but it was so much more. I've seen nearly all the MCU movies starting with Iron Man aka Tony Stark played brilliantly by Robert Downy Jr. None touched me as much as this one because I got the chance to see an African Nation thriving without the aide of foreigners also I was happy to hear that the many slaves that were stipped from their homes were not forgotten and how it wasn't lost on how their beloved nation's were later violated and plundered. But this fictional nation of Wakanda stood strong and lived a life all nation's on the Continent were suppose to live. I was pleased to see both sides of the black struggle in wanting to protect your home and identify from theft and wanting to help those who are oppressed around the world only because of the color of their skin God gave them. This movie made me more prouder to call myself African American. I pay respect to the first male and female in my line of ancestors that got off the boat in chains that had their identity stolen. Much respect to the late Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for their vision of bringing power to the Continent when it wasn't popular to do so. CONGRATULATIONS to the entire team of Black Panther.

The movie resonated with me on a deep level because I have an African father and a black mom...I truly understood the divide...its a subject that's not addressed enough...there's a real divide amongst Africans and black people...im glad the film was the success that it was...so much African philosophy and ancient african spirituality sprinkled all over the film it felt like a love letter to the continent, even tho wakanda is fictional...lol

It's amazing that he started the winning speech almost wordless and then improvised THAT. Let's take a momment to enphasize here: "THAT AWESOME SPEECH". To me it toped Viola Davis' 2017 Oscar speech (which got overshadowed by a s2pid little mistake done later at that same Oscar over best movie)

Don't be deceived that these reactions are as a result of the trolls watching the movie. They hate that an all black cast superhero movie was made. They hated it before it came out & they still hate it now. Black Panther ended up making more money overseas than all marvel solo movies because people overseas don't care about American racist crap. Black Panther is also the highest grossing marvel solo movie behind only the Avengers movies. Black Panther is the highest grossing marvel movie in the US. Black Panther has sold more DVDs than all marvel movies. Black Panther is the highest selling DVD of 2018. (Yes, sold more DVDs than Infinity War). This means that people liked the movie so much, they went back to buy the DVD. Check all online poles of best movie of 2018 and Black Panther is always in the top two. The haters are vocal but they are a minority. Black Panther was a great movie and it deserves all the success it is getting.

Story for another day. The movie was a good movie that attracted crowds that were not necessarily comic book fans. Take out the action sequences from the movie and you'll still have a complete film. It wasn't a standard superhero movie. It was more than that. It has spawned a new greeting "Wakanda forever"; a global dance craze "Black Panther Dance"; the Mbaku challenge and other social interactions. If you choose to be blind towards the impact of the movie, its your choice. The rest of us are no fools.

zelulu 1994 Well it wasn’t a good movie eve though it had potential. if the movie came out much sooner then maybe it would have been the best black superhero movie ever and maybe a Rated R one.Wesley snipes wanted to do a Black Panther movie and that was during the days where directors wanted to tell a great story instead of a cash grab. Why the fuck was A Star is Born even nominated for Ensemble.. That film focused primarily on 2 people.. Lol... Btw I love this..The whole ensemble of Black Panther was amazing.. As opposed to A Star is Born or Bohemian Rhapsody in which the Screen Time was divided between 2 or 3 main leads.. Black Panther was very balanced in its screen time..Kudos to the SAG.

Andy at least was awarded because he worked his ass off in the past on so many films. The guy didn't even get so much as a thank you for the majority of his work when it was time to hand out awards.
In the speech from the actual stage Chadwick purposely includes Andy and it's cool.

Even with all the "agendas" that this film might've been pushing, I still enjoyed Black Panther regardless. I'm very happy for the cast and crew who worked on it, and I look forward to seeing what Coogler comes up with for the sequel

I found it quite entertaining and amazing. The CGI (My opinion, once again) was great as well. The acting (An opinion) was on point! Infinity war is a superhero TEAM-UP movie, Black Panther is a solo movie that made a killing in the box office. Folks don't have to watch other MCU movies to catch up on or understand BP but you HAVE to watch the previous MCU movies to feel more for Infinity War-- I know because I would overhear folks say to someone in theaters of Infinity War "oh you have to watch this or that MCU movie to understand this scene"

Can we be honest? Black panther is worst than the 2nd Iron 👨. Its just a diffrent climate that will catapult minorities such as my own soon hopefully that made this film a success. Other than that it was a poor viewing experience even though i loved black panther in civil war. It was tons of white guilt that bolstered this terrible film. Aquaman was way better than this production but Chadwick is awesome.
