Funk O'Matic you have said a lot there, I’ll do my best to answer as much as I can but when it comes to critics, they don’t always have the same view of movies that fans do and that gap as dramatically increased over the years as less movies that are loved by fans are not always loved by critics. In relation to black panther it made tons of cash of 1.3 billion which is mega bucks but a lot of white people went to see that movie and a lot of celebrities of color spent a lot of money renting out theaters so children who don’t have money can see it and be inspired. I agree with you that the Oscars do get it wrong and have so for many years! The issue I have with BP getting nominated is that in my opinion it’s a top ten movie in the MCU but the movies i believe to be better would never get nominated because it doesn’t have the same social significance as BP! Which is my issue with the academy more than BP as I believe in the best movies over the social significance!

Black Panther is a FANTASTIC movie that was suppose to be just another comic book hero character hitting the big screen but it was so much more. I've seen nearly all the MCU movies starting with Iron Man aka Tony Stark played brilliantly by Robert Downy Jr. None touched me as much as this one because I got the chance to see an African Nation thriving without the aide of foreigners also I was happy to hear that the many slaves that were stipped from their homes were not forgotten and how it wasn't lost on how their beloved nation's were later violated and plundered. But this fictional nation of Wakanda stood strong and lived a life all nation's on the Continent were suppose to live. I was pleased to see both sides of the black struggle in wanting to protect your home and identify from theft and wanting to help those who are oppressed around the world only because of the color of their skin God gave them. This movie made me more prouder to call myself African American. I pay respect to the first male and female in my line of ancestors that got off the boat in chains that had their identity stolen. Much respect to the late Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for their vision of bringing power to the Continent when it wasn't popular to do so. CONGRATULATIONS to the entire team of Black Panther.

The movie resonated with me on a deep level because I have an African father and a black mom...I truly understood the divide...its a subject that's not addressed enough...there's a real divide amongst Africans and black people...im glad the film was the success that it was...so much African philosophy and ancient african spirituality sprinkled all over the film it felt like a love letter to the continent, even tho wakanda is fictional...lol

Fundamentally this feels like a lot of DUMB people celebrating a DUMB movie. It's baffling cause the movie was so bad, from characters, to plot, to set design, to CG, the direction, the design choices etc.
Can we be honest? Black panther is worst than the 2nd Iron 👨. Its just a diffrent climate that will catapult minorities such as my own soon hopefully that made this film a success. Black Panther is about spirituality and humanity, not tribalism and symbolism. Getting sick and tired of this cancerous victim mode we're in now. I read comics as a kid and used them as escapism, but character values attracted me; not skin color.

Infinity war is a superhero TEAM-UP movie, Black Panther is a solo movie that made a killing in the box office. Folks don't have to watch other MCU movies to catch up on or understand BP but you HAVE to watch the previous MCU movies to feel more for Infinity War-- I know because I would overhear folks say to someone in theaters of Infinity War "oh you have to watch this or that MCU movie to understand this scene"

Can we be honest? Black panther is worst than the 2nd Iron 👨. Its just a diffrent climate that will catapult minorities such as my own soon hopefully that made this film a success. Other than that it was a poor viewing experience even though i loved black panther in civil war. It was tons of white guilt that bolstered this terrible film. Aquaman was way better than this production but Chadwick is awesome.
