Take ur hats off ladies!
We genuinely didnt realise that ladies also take their hats off. I looked around the stadium and saw other ladies with their hats still on so took my queues from them. We know now for next time though 😀
@@yournewzealandfamily That's all right. You aren't American so you get a pass.
@@yournewzealandfamily taking the hats off is generally for the gentlemen to do, y'all did perfectly fine. I'm so glad y'all enjoyed America, if I wasn't a part of this whole family, I would have mistaken y'all for just being eager Americans generally excited for the events lol
It's actually ok for females to leave their hats on. It's also ok for former military (veterans) to leave their hats on and salute instead of putting their hands over their heart. Just fyi.
@@Jml416 I'm retired Army engineer, all people retired or active will remove their covers, stand at attention and either salute if active or stand and place ur hat over ur heart. It's pretty simple. BTW ladies serve in active areas now.
When you do go back you can safely say "this ain't my first rodeo"
Haha, true!!!
Great comment!!
👍
Ba da bump !
PERFECT!
Just remember to take you hats off for Prayers and the Anthem 🤠
as a Marine, seeing some get as choked up over our anthem as i do has given me great pride. thank you
Amen Teuffelhunden.. Grey old 0321 shedding a tear over here too.
That got me a little when Sam teared up a bit when the gentleman sang The Star Spangled Banner. I was tearing up as well. Their faces when they finally got to stand for it was amazing. I've lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma my whole life and I've never seen another family from a totally different country have so much pride and respect for my great country, The United States of America. You New Zealand Family makes me so proud. I can only hope that one day you become a member of our great nation and become a member of an American community. I'd be happy to call you my neighbor.
Florida seconds that!
@@southernbrothersbackyardca6616 And Tennessee! God bless you all! You're just gonna have to come to America!
he understands American history and patriotism more than the average person not from America
And Kansas!
Same.
As a Texan, I could not have been prouder watching your family love praying with us and honoring our national anthem. The joy on your faces and the excitement at seeing your first rodeo was so much fun. We are so happy y'all came to visit us in our great state. Y'all are welcome anytime. I think we could call y'all honorary Texans now.
Seeing how much our national anthem means to you is touching. We would be lucky to have you as citizens! 🇺🇸
They’ve seen so many videos they understand it’s meaning.
Kind of ironic that New Zealanders stand for our national anthem yet some (Colin Kaepernick) can't even stand for it. I am not trying to be political, I just find it funny that people from other countries respect the US and people who are born and raised here do not share that sentiment.
As a American, I love seeing you get emotional when listening to our national anthem. Many Americans today disrespect our own country so it’s amazing to see we still have friends around the world. Much love to you guys and girls. I’d stand for your national anthem also because New Zealand is a wonderful ally full of wonderful people. God bless America and god bless New Zealand!
Agreed 💯 I'm an American and I cry every time, it may not be perfect but I love my country 💛
Criticism of an imperfect country is not disrespect. It's actually the ultimate respect, as they want to make it a more perfect union. Everyone has their own idea about what that means, and that's the beauty of the entire experiment.
At 58, I still tear up every time.
This Canadian loves the USA and always respects its national anthem.
@@Lava1964 same for us! You might or might not be surprised but the Canadian national anthem is often played in the US before sporting events!
The gentlemen that sings the national anthem is a personal friend of mine! Loved seeing you tear up!
Wow thats so cool, we loved hearing the anthem for the first time!
@@yournewzealandfamily I cannot hear our National Anthem without tearing just a bit. Whatever the event, I am reminded of all who have sacrificed for our freedoms. You touched my heart seeing you tear up as well. I was disappointed that none around you were singing along. Some looked disinterested. Times have changed so much that we can take our freedoms for granted. Growing up, pride in our USA & flag were very natural. Happy that they stared out in prayer.
P.S. Have been studying New Zealand on line. So much beauty. Hope you take us on a tour. As always....love you guys!😊
A naturalized American here, I tear up every time I hear our National anthem. I feel so connected.
@@yournewzealandfamily their anthem is about declaring war on britain and invading canada (the war of 1812). what is wrong with you people? their empire is collapsing so you caught the heart of it at the tail end. rodeo is from mexico.
@blackberrythorns this is our New Zealand family stop hating on them🤦♀️🙅♀️🤬
I'm a Professional Rodeo announcer. Some of the guys announcing and running the music are friends of mine. As well as a few of the rider's. I've been waiting for this episode to drop. I'm so glad that you guys had a great time. It was a great reminder to me that not everyone has seen bull riding or rodeo and thats what makes my job fun!
Wow Scott thats so cool! We absolutely loved the whole event, we feel so grateful to have been there!
I'm pretty sure you guys are officially honorary Americans now!!!
Yep. Anyone that saw a rodeo in Texas of all places qualifies.
I'm Canadian, but I tear up every time i hear the Star Spangled Banner sung well. Much of my way of life is made possible by the brave American soldiers who I silently pray for as
I listen. Love your channel!
I don't think most Canadians realize they live in one of the safest country, if not the safest in the world. You're far from the enemy, and next door to your friends who happen to be the most power militarized nation in the world. The moment anyone attacks Canada, it becomes America's war. Canada is safer than the US because of our terrible open borders policies. As an immigrant myself, well I've been here since I was 17 days old, 43 in a couple days, America gave me a life I never would've had living in a war torn country.
As an American, I thank you! We love our Canadian brothers & sisters! 💌🍁
@@DroneStrike1776except the part where you guys tried to invade and we sent you running back to Washington with a nice fire to keep ya warm 😂
@@KingJunta-n2n Try it again and lets see the outcome.

Love how you cried at our national anthem, being a New Zealander. Love from California. ❤
I wish the youth of this country respected the anthem as much as our NZ family!
Thank you for the respect to our anthem. It's wonderful y'all are enjoying Texas. ❤
Come back For the San Antonio Rodeo!
Much respect!!! @4:30ish...Taking your hat off for OUR national anthem....It means a GREAT deal for those of us that still stand for it and to YOU stand for it and give reverence....MUCH Respect. Thank you. ENJOY OUR COUNTRY!! We are here for you...Mate!
Yes
I looked up the New Zealand National Anthem, played it while standing with my hand over my heart. I wanted to return the respect "My New Zealand Family" showed during my US National Anthem.
Dad is a good man, teaching his Son right! I am so glad to have found your channel, I will remain a loyal subscriber. May God defend New Zealand and God bless My New Zealand Family.
Thanks Darren!! Appreciate you 🤍
That cowboy is so relaxed because he's been on the back of a horse since before he could walk!
As an American, I got emotional seeing you emotional what a beautiful thing that you were able to experience this❤❤❤❤
“Not only that! We’re at a rodeo!” God bless Denz and his sweet little heart!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I lived in Texas for a while and the way he said, "It's not mine, it's not yours, it's Our National Anthem! " that just made me miss Texas.
Wish you'd come back Babe
Dude you gave me goose bumps seeing you tear up like that to our national anthem. You just reminded how powerful and meaningful those lyrics are ✊🏻❤️🔥 thank you for this video. All americans should watch this and be reminded
Sadly, there are so many that don't care. They have no comparison to anywhere else so they don't understand. Our country is FAR from perfect. We've got our warts, dark scars and bad blood, but we've got loads more to be grateful for! We can definitely improve a lot of industries, the way we spend our taxes, our education system (Lord knows THAT is in serious need of reform and improvement) but we can do it. These people that hate our country and live here? I wish we could exchange them for people in other nations that WANT to move here 😂😂
I beleive theyve also watched the video called "the story of our national anthem as youve never heard it told" - a video many Americans need to see so they appreciate what those words means as much as this family from another country does.
The look in Atlanta's eyes after her 1st taste of a brisket slider was priceless. Thus begins one of her lifelong quests: to find all of the extremely diverse ways brisket can be integrated into a meal.
I swear the kiddos have grown so much from the beginning of this series! Just precious!
Theyre growing like weeds!
Eating all this American food
Love your family and the joy you show for our country and customs! God bless you and family and God bless America!!!
I’m a 45 yo veteran from Texas and as many times as I’ve stood for the national anthem, i just can’t seem to get away from my stalking chef who apparently keeps cutting onions around me. It’s frustrating! 😂
Someone was cutting onions around me too.
That onion cutter follows me around
Ditto, Navy, 1987-1995
Hats,please, ladies. Thanks.
Thank you for your service, God bless and keep you 🇺🇸❤
Sam, what you experienced during our national anthem happens to millions of us. Thank you for your heartfelt love of my country. Patriot tears say it all - they were much more glorious than the rodeo! May God bless you & yours, from Tennessee.
I don't think I've ever seen someone have that much fun at a bull riding event! It made me smile so big! Thank you! 😊
Right there with you.
Reminded me when I was a young man and had as much fun as they did
What a wholesome family on the adventure of a lifetime with a seemingly deeper appreciation for America then many born here. Welcome to the states folks!
Great video guys! The fact that you felt the anthem made me feel it more. So many things that we are grateful for, life liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. All of which our ancestors died for, you respect that and honor it. Thank you❤
As much as I love bull riding, my favorite event to watch in person will always be ladies barrel racing. Those gals know their animals like no one else and push them to their absolute limit. Great stuff as always!🤠
For the record, I currently have a steer that knows about roping. This guy is going to throw many a cowboy for a loop. He ducks and dives like "Sugar Ray". Hope he makes me a few bucks.🤠
You can not fake the type of excitement , and enjoyment this family is showing .. I love watching the fun they are having.....
Hey your excitement and fun is intoxicating. Thank you for showing these cowpokes how we take it fir granted. You are our favorite New Zealand family guys. God bless.
I appreciate yall standing, we cant get all of our own citizens to do that but here yall are from NZ showing a lot of respect. Much love!
They'll never get me to stand for the Yankee occupation.
Thank you sir for honoring our anthem with hats over hearts like true gentleman and patriots. The fact it made you emotional is even better. I've heard it thousands of times probably and it still fires me up probably because my mind things we're about to play football when i hear it so my adrenaline gets going. I couldnt be happier to support yalls family
Sam, thanks for acknowledging that your viewers are the reason your family was able to come to the states and enjoy America. It means a lot. I always enjoy watching your videos. You really seem like a great family. May the Lord bless the four of you in all that you do.
We appreciate your support so much!
Wish all the people that come to America, were as cool and genuine as this family....Welcome, enjoy, it's so nice to see and hear people that do not hate us.
You guys are awesome! Sam you had tears during our national anthem, that was real!! We love you as much as you love America N Z family.
I'm so glad I subbed to this channel many months ago. Sam and family, the love and respect you showed during the opening prayer and the National Anthem brought me, like so many others in this comment section, so much joy. Much love and respect to y'all.
You all are awesome! Such a breath of fresh air! 🌳☀️🌳 -So glad you had a great time!🐂 -Love your cowboy hats.💕🤠💕
4:50 Those aren't tears of joy, they're tears of patriotism. America is forever your family just like how you're family to us, through your videos and vlogs, getting us through these dark times but yet making us stronger in all aspects. Keep that family tradition and values going
I love that you and your family are experiencing this great country and having the time of your lives doing it.
i love you guys loving our american culture!! you guys are such a great family! keep up the great work!
My wife grew up in Pennsylvania so she had never been to a rodeo before. The first year we were married I took her to a local Pow Wow and rodeo. The first event was bull riding and she was hooked ever since. Glad to see you enjoy it as much as she did.
You guys, a family from New Zealand, continents away… getting to experience our national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner in person… and seeing the emotion on you Sam, and Denzel just star struck by everything going on… it just humbles me… specially knowing that we have fellow Americans that take that anthem, that flag and the values that forged this great nation of ours for granted and even sometimes, completely disregarded by them, even going as far as hating them… it rings my heart, hits me hard. Thank you for coming to our country guys, and for showing it the love it doesn’t get from some UnAmerican-Americans. God bless you all! 🙏🏼
It's really awesome to see people enjoying the best parts of our Texas culture. You have an amazing family and im so happy yall enjoyed your time in Ft. Worth Texas.
5:13 The emotion during the national anthem was enough to make me cry. I just love how much you guys love our country and how you truly cherish it. Ya’ll are the best!!! ❤
I just love watching your family
The amount of respect you showed my country in the national anthem reminds me of when you watched the story of the anthem I think I’ll go back and rewatch that
Thank you for the respect you showed our Lord, our Country and our Great State.
Thank you for showing your respect and emotions during our national anthem. Yes, all hats should be off, but we understand that you're visiting 😀 thanks for sharing your fun family experiences with us. They're only a few times a man can openly show emotion. At your Mother's funeral, during the National Snthem and at the end of the movie, Rudy
I love how respectful y’all are of our National Anthem and the prayer. Thank you. ❤ It made me smile to see your family enjoying themselves so much. :) Y’all definitely need to see a full rodeo. It’s an experience.
It's always a delight to see your videos and your wonderful family together!
America loves patriots. Feel free to move here whenever you want.
We love patriots... But I wouldn't move here. It's flat, hot in summer, cold for the two or three days of winter, humid, wet and dry in the same week. I've lived here all my life; I love mountains and forests. The cost of living isn't as bad as other states, but there are ups and downs. And two hours in any direction; your STILL in Texas.
Isn't TX being over-run by CA libtards moving in?
Just be sure the ladies remove their hats and place them over their hearts when the Star Spangled Banner plays.
@@domin8ss They're learning. Give them a break
@emfyve How are they supposed to know if somebody doesn't say something. Learning starts by sharing information. You can thank me for taking the initiative now. No need to criticize when I did what you couldn't.
Love the Prayer, National Anthem and that y’all had so much fun!
Praise God
I teared up when Sam teared up. Genuine emotion right there!
I wish it lasted longer too. I was having fun watching you guys having fun. Thanks for the respect for our anthem.
You guys will absolutely love the full rodeo with the other events. Goes on for hours. It will really be a treat you will never forget. I have been going to them since I was a small boy. It's something our family has always gone too. Glad you had so much fun.
welcome to my home state, and home town. if i recall correctly, my buddy Ed handles the lights and light show for this venue.
As an American, I don’t feel like there is a ton of love that comes our way from outside the borders. Your appreciation for our mixed culture really shines through on this trip. Thank you for the content and hope you get to enjoy some more trips this way in years to come. 🤘✌️❤
We’re only in the second most visited country in the world
This maybe my favorite video. You guys look like yall had so much fun.
I have live here all my life and you and your family have I seen in 63 yrs. Thank you for videoing this for 90% of Americans wont be able to go and see and enjoy what we take for granted. This so much enjoyment to watch keep going. You need to go the grand canyons and see the large Red wood trees there I will never make it.
I plan on moving to Cebu Philippines but my Nephew said come live in AU. I might take him up on that. New Zealand Might be my destination. Once again thank you for your videos
Hearing the prayers before and the National Anthem afterwards gave me the chills, so happy to hear that !
I am from Fort Worth and still live here. One of my friends brother was a bull rider. At the time I met him he was in a brace on his leg because it got snapped clean in half while riding. I don't think he was able to ride again but can you imagine the bravery just to do it. I can't handle seeing someone in pain. I worked as a dental assistant when I was younger and I can handle blood, but I will pass out if someone is in pain, so I can't do rodeo's. The fear of someone getting hurt is too much! I would spend the entire time with my eyes's closed, but it would be worth it for the food as long as it made it to my mouth. LOL! It made me so happy seeing ya'll have so much fun! You looked great and the tears over the anthem was so heart warming. Glad you are coming back.
Hey, love from TEXAS! TEXAS is in my heart. It’s really great to have people like you appreciating what we do here. Thanks for stopping by. 😁
As a native Texan this video is awesome!! Glad you enjoyed! And your respect for the Anthem was amazing! Moved from Texas nine months ago and man do I miss the food!! The BBQ is insane there! Enjoyed!
I love watching you guys. It’s just like being there with you thanks.
You all are great people America opens our arms to you were so glad you had so much fun

It’s so fun to watch and y’all are super kind
That bull at 11:00 was Ka-razy!! The bulls that spin get a good rating but the huge, high leaps that one did was impressive‼️ You ladies look GREAT in your denim and boots! Perfect! ❤️ Really fun video, thank you!
Glad you guys enjoyed the show and show appreciation for AMERICA.
The respect you showed for our national anthem was amazing. You are a great man! I think you are starting to be a true blue American in your heart Sam. I appreciate the respect your family all showed. 1st class family!
Watching your family deepens my love of America. Thank you
You all are a great family, and I'm so happy to see you enjoying yourselves here. I lived outside of the U.S. for 15 years, and it's so interesting to watch people appreciate things many take for granted,
One other thing, about the hat. Don’t feel bad. I was in a grocery store the other day, an elderly woman taps me on my shoulder and ask if I was having a bad day. It’s not perfect but it’s not bad I replied. She say she was wondering because I had my shirt on backwards !!! 😮. She gave me the biggest bear hug and said she hopes my day got better. I responded that it already had gotten better ! Texas folks are in a league by ourselves. Maybe crazy but we alright !! Peace
I'll give a pass to the ladies since they aren't American, but no matter what to me' everyone should have their hat off for the National Anthem. So glad y'all had a great time and hope you come visit again.
Edit: Seeing someone from a different country over here crying over our National Anthem makes it mean so much more to me as a natural born citizen. You guys are more patriotic than half of the population of America right now. I may just be a viewer and not y'alls family, but I love you with the bottom of my heart. God Bless you all.
Sam when you teared up during our national anthem, it made me cry.Thank you’ll for showing our country so much respect. I’m a huge fan, and keep putting out great content!!

I love the rodeo! Colorado has the National Western Stock Show every January and it’s such a fun time. I love seeing America through the eyes of people who are from another country. It gives a whole new appreciation and perspective
Your reaction to The Nation Anthem and feeling that song in your heart was great. As a old sailor and a Navy Brat I'm very proud of you and your family! God Bless you on your travels!
Amazing how often we take this place so for granted even without knowing it. Nights like you had right there in this video is why this is amazing. So cool to share this with your great family.
I was born and raised in Texas and extremely proud of my State and My Country. God bless your family and glad you are having such a good time. Full rodeo is so great you have to see one.
I’m a lifelong Texan and retired from the U.S. Army (28 years) I think y’all where the loudest and proudest in the stands and thank you so much for the respect you showed our National Anthem. (ladies, please remove your hats next time no worries you didn’t know and most ladies don’t anyway but don’t let them be your example) you are welcome back anytime. When your daughter said especially the Texans and the pride you showed I am subscribing. I think Texans, Aussies and New Zealanders have a lot in common and respect for each other.
Slide in real quick and shoot y'all a thank you from Sacramento California. So What I really want to say is your family is so creative and you guys are brilliant. I love your videos. I love to learn about cultures and ways of doing things that the normies may call outside of the box. I just want to say thank you for loving each other and for being grateful for your supporters is great and all but I can't express enough how heartwarming it is to see a family that works hard plays hard and is truly United.
