Also, the eyes are irrelevant IMO. The fish will see the size, action and presence of Bruce anyways...they won't care that he's missing an eye. hah :)

I really like suspending lures that have a slow sink. They work well for pressured or maybe lazy bass that don't like to chase. BFS swimbaits are great to cover water where you can't see the beds really well.
Super slow sink is the way! Very finesse presentation and it works well for bank anglers right now for the spring season!

Aye! I love fishing the two different sizes. Can't wait until fall or if I can find some opportunity for waters that's not gunked up for my next big lure I just got. U gonna love the next one!
I'm in south texas I mostly fish coleto creek Reservoir. I been trying big swimbaits in saltwater went yesterday caught two nice reds on the aliexpress swimbaits about 5 speckled trout think I'm getting the hang of it now. Fresh water is different but I was watching your hand movement on retrieve I'll try that next time a coleto.
Nice! I wanna try big lures in salt, but I need to have some good salt gears to handle some of those big fish! Soon when I master the waters and get an understanding of the fish and it's seasonal behaviors!
I experiment with a lot of retrieves for my waters to see what best. I think I am getting better as I never caught squat with big lures when I first started lol!
The bluegill are starting to spawn so that baby girion should be great around the bed areas
Nailed some big bluegills today at the local dink bass pond! These gills are bigger than most bass lol. Fun season to fish!
Do you think a ridiculously huge bait like Bruce works as well as he does because his size gives the fish a target that is much more visible and easily seen at a distance?
Oh for sure. And big lures simulate bigger fish which means potentially bigger meal or bigger threat!
Many fish are territorial so they don't always bite another fish to eat it. They bite to say back off..
