    I'm so tired of the endless stream of dive watches that a well styled but very useable watch like this makes me feel good, well done Yema, I hope that you will do very well by being one of the trend setters.

      Totally agree, I'm diver-ed out. I hope it does well, I'd like to see more like this.

      I agree. We need more dressy-formal-everyday watches with good sizing, classic design and modern specifications.

    I think Yema has stepped up. I’ve had a Navigraf for years. I’ve heard horror stories about customer service, quality control, but I haven’t had any issues. They’ve have well rounded models.

      I have never actually heard anyone tell a story that the CS and QC were bad FOR THEM, it’s just that they have heard they are. I’m increasingly suspicious of that.

    The colour of the dial looks like the reflection of the sky over France. I love it.
    Guess I want one.

    Clean, simple, straight-forward lines. For me, I really need a sapphire crystal because I scratch everything I own.

    Love that blue dial. Classy watch, I love it and will almost certainly be adding it to my collection. Thank you for the review.

    Fantastic looking watch, its like blue champagne 🍾

    Very attractive watch... personally I'd probably go for the "safe" black dial or the more intense dark blue - but the shifting light blue dial certainly has some appeal - definitely paired with a brown strap. Hadn't ever considered Yema but looking through their catalogue they do some very nice watches. Thank you for featuring!

    Thanks for the review. I have become interested in Yema. They have a couple styles I quite like. The blue dial is very original looking.

    Pure design known as 'watch'...LOL...very true. What a beautiful dial on the blue. The difference between the 2 could hardly be starker with the black coming off poorly by comparison. Love that pearlescent ice blue!

    That is a very smart looking watch, the blue one. The black needs a much blacker dial to be interesting.

  • @Intelligence3

    I find it marvelous. Love that prominent crystal, I see people complaining here but it’s a marvelous effect, and crystal width doesn’t bother me nearly so much as pointlessly thick cases. And that crystal shape is a: expensive as heck to do in sapphire and b: as you note, wouldn’t look as nice in Sapphire.
    Plus, the strap looks to be Saffiano leather. That’s a leather often used for things like briefcases and valises and portfolios and such that can be subject to abrasion and damaging activity, it’s especially durable, which is what you’re feeling. I feel it suits the “sporty” part of the Urban Sport collection

    Hi Tim, I missed a little more contrast between the dial and hands, and some lumen. And I would try the black strap for the nice sky blue dial and the brown one for the black dial, just to see what came of it. Very good video👍 Regards from Chile!

    Definitely a good middle-sized designs, considering historical dress watches. Definitely no serious mistakes committed. I'm a bit positively suprised at the water resistance there, and although the thickness is ok-ish given the dome, acrylic is too divisive at this price onwards.

    Not the most legible, maybe - but I really like that blue. And I agree about a blue strap. Probably would not work. That the dial color changes in different light is very much a positive for me, and I'd choose that over the black any time.

  • @gunther8003
    @gunther8003 5 месяцев назад +1

    The blue dial looks more silver in the video. The Yema leather straps are really special, therefore I would prefer one of your Caseback straps. 13 mm is really high for a dress watch

    That tone of blue I've only seen before in liquid oxygen.
    Blue or black dial in this watch to me suggests the choice between a summer piece or everyday wear option.

    A silver or a champagne dial would be great on this watch.

  • @Nefville
    @Nefville 5 месяцев назад +2

    I really like it but I'd say drop the 100m or WR, take it to 30 or 50 and shave 3mm off the thickness. There is no reason this watch needs to have so much WR, if you're swimming with this its because your wedding party's boat sank and you're swimming back to shore. You have bigger problems to deal with. I don't mind the plexi. Get a tube of Polywatch, no problem.
    PS did you know Yema makes a somewhat in-house Tourbillon? Pretty wild.

    I was a bit underwhelmed by the product shots. It's generally better here in real life footage and especially the blue comes to life. Now I can better imagine owning or wearing one, but it still feels like a design that blends in so much with vintage elements that I miss a bit of personality. This was an example where your straps show up another strap in mere seconds. I'm almost surprised you didn't just switch it around.

    $690?!?! Pagani Design makes a very similar watch with an NH38 for $110. I just don't see this as 6 times better. Sorry Yema this is a $300-400 watch. And an in house movement for a low end brand is a negative. Good luck with servicing it. Rather have a selita.

    Too big, way too big, perfect lug width but all goes wrong after that. Sub 11 mm thickness, 36 case size…
