  • In this Science (Physics) video in Hindi for Class 9 we explained Archimedes' principle. This is a topic from Chapter 10 - 'Gravitation' for class 9th from NCERT.
    Archimedes' principle states that when a body is immersed fully or partially in a fluid, it experiences an upward force that is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by it.

    Sir please! make a video on how the principal of Archimedes helps him in purity of gold in crown of king

    • @sandeepgupta-lw5ev
      @sandeepgupta-lw5ev 2 года назад +6

      As when the crown is sink in water ... Then water displaces by crown is not matches with water displaces by the crown made of pure gold.....so Archimedes says that the your crown is not made up of pure gold....

    9:25 jb liquid uss object pe chaaro trf se force lga rhi h jisse pressure bnn rha hai to aise me hm sirf upward force hi kyu consider krte hai
    Object k upr se jo liquid uspe force lga rha hai wo kyu nhi?

    Sir can u plz explain why did u took water level from top i.e (h+t) in case of f2 when this force is acting upwards?shouldn't we be taking the downward water level in this case ?

      It's because in previous lectures he said that in order to take out the pressure at any point we have to take the height from the free surface of the liquid to the point at where we have to find the pressure so in this case we have to we have found that above the cube the height is H1 and the height of the cube is te he has taken now if we take h + t it would be the total height from the free surface to the p2

    Sir, agar liquid ka density patthar se jyada ho to kya aisa lagega ki pathar me bilkul bhi weight nahi hai.

    • @JaikeshPandey
      @JaikeshPandey 3 года назад +2

      Agr liquid ki density pathar se jyda hai to wo jyda buoyant force lgayega compared to weight of the object
      aise me object float krega aur haa uska weight bilkul feel nhi hoga

    Sir, In 18:10 you told that the height will (h+t). But why?
    It should be
    Let, height of glass=H
    Then p2's height=H-(h+t)
    As the pressure is acting from downwards to upwards
    If the pressure is acting from upwards to downwards then height should be (h+t)
    Please anybody help me...

    Why is pressure not a vector quantity?

    • @edupoint.secondary
      @edupoint.secondary  3 года назад +2

      Pressure is the ratio of the NORMAL COMPONENT of the applied force to the area on which the force is applied.
      Now, force is vector, but normal component of force is a scalar.
      So pressure is scalar by definition.
