well, i don’t know, ive not tried that, but i do make jellies and jams with splenda and haven’t had an issue. i grow stevia and i am going to make the liquid stevia out of it this year, that may work. i will have to play around with that😊 thank you for asking. we still eat the jalapeños in our bread or on a burger, so its not like we are getting a ton of sugar. i think all the sugar would be the syrup or brine its in. im not sure. i wouldnt want to tell you to do it and it not work. i would say, if your NOT canning then it, it would be fine to use a substitute sugar 😃
@@BoondocksHomestead thank you for replying. Actually the sugar is in all of the cowboy candy. And yes more so in the brine. Ask for Splenda it's artificial and has a cancer marker. Stevia I've had in sugar free puddings and it taste great. To bad they can't make a stevia brown sugar plant. Looking forward to your experiments with the liquid stevia.
@@robertelliott5644 i will try to make a video when i do it~ yeah i dont like Splenda but it was good for the moment if you know what i mean. i hadnt sone a lot of research on it before i used it 🧐

The berries work for most people, but maybe 20-30% are not affected by the miraculin that temporarily shuts down bitter/sour taste receptors.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Very well done!! Can’t wait to try your recipe!! Thank you!!
Trader Joe’s has this… sweet Hot Jalapeño slices in a jar… so good! Homemade has to be better! Yum!!!
Oh my goodness! Cant wait to try the vinegar in the water trick. I have minerally water and am always wiping white off my jars!
i works! i never have to wipe that sediment off mine 😀

Just came across your site. Excellent video on cowboy candy. I'm pre diabetic as and was wondering if I could stevia as a substitute for the sugar?

That's not brine! That's sugar water.
it sounds like it but it really evens out, and your not drinking the brine, your just eating the peppers 😁
